Superpower

Which power is it you like to have? If it comes to power, some superpower it's no different from making a wish or three wishes like in those fairy tales. Always be careful with what you wish unless you don't care a wurst is stuck at your nose. If you believe stupid wishes are made by women only you are wrong. Wishing everything you touch turns into gold isn't smart either and this wish was made by a king or a guy who pretended to be one or can be the storyteller intended to pass the message kings can be poor bastards making dumb wishes too.

So what has changed?
Nothing. Superpower wishes... we can hope and wish for it but it isn't real. It's something one can dream about, imagine but that's it. Being spider man, Batman or some superhero (the Hulk or Shrek do the trick too) isn't attractive if you can't brag about it and people love you more if you wear a carnival outfit than a decent costume. Did you notice many superheroes are nerds? The idea of making nerds attractive with help of some toxin must mean something. Can be that covid jab does the same to us.
Imagine we all change in a spider person (gender-neutral of course) and we hang around, climb walls and ceilings and think out stories in our web. Imagine we bundle our superpowers instead of fighting our enemy or worse enemies. Next, imagine we don't have enemies. But hey, what if we don't have enemies? It means we are not special because we cannot use superpowers to fight and show we are the better person, the one everyone should follow, believe and adore, after all, that's what people do when it comes to superheroes. It doesn't matter if heroes are real or made up. We trust and adore them and want heroes, VIPs in our life because it makes us look more promising even if we lack the courage and skills ourselves. Just like the ordinary man, we a superhero benefits from someone else's misery or ugliness. Thought about that? Without bad things happening or bad people good doesn't exist.

If it comes to good...
Soon good no longer exists which means superheroes are no longer needed nor are wishes. In a world where everyone is the same, bears the same, suffers in the same way, there's no room left for wishes and worries especially not those fears born out of luxury. The struggle for life will consume all energy and if there's a desire at all it will be the one for an early, good night's rest or the wish to be never born or rather be dead instead of continuing pleasing an unknown, king who turns everything into gold without touching you.

What would you do if you saw someone been beaten up on the street? Perhaps you are in your apartment and stand behind your window watching or even enjoying the scenery. Would you make a call, knock on the window or rush outside? Most likely you wouldn't since being a hero needs courage, bravery or some poison that switches off the mind and makes sure you don't think twice. Once you start thinking about what might happen if the magic is gone and with that heroism. The common man only hurries outside for something he can get for free. Some show, a balloon or weapons to kill the enemy. It doesn't matter if you are a child or elderly everyone can be a hero at least for a minute or a day. True heroes will be forgotten. We already did if it comes to those who fought and died for freedom during the first and second world wars, the nurses, caretakers during the pandemic in 2021 and the truckers in Canada. One day you are hot and abused the next day dead and buried unless you have some real superpowers and with real I mean those who do not depend on electricity and technology.

Imagine there's more, much more than we think a single soul can do. One action always results in a reaction and causes the domino effect. One person can change the world. No superpowers are needed for that just kick that one single domino and look what happens. Triggering emotions is all one needs to do and a scapegoat makes a perfect tool to make a null look better even good.
