Success to you!

It is what we wish each other if something needs to be done. "Good luck" is a bit similar to it. To most just an expression because if it comes to it we are not eager, find it hard to feel happy about someone's achieved success. We do not like successful people but envy them. We envy their success instead of seeing it as an option to fight for the same. Fighting for what we want isn't a part of most of us and the question is why? How come we so easily give up on setting goals, fighting for what we want? What made us that lazy, nasty person who only fakes to "good luck wishes" to pretend he is a kind person?

It is the way we are raised and most of all religion.

Religion told us what is good and bad and beware if you commit one of these 7 sins! It all won't end well with you. Somewhere in the end. Those seven sins...ever thought about them deeper? It can work out negative but positive as well. It's not different from the idea "the glass is half empty" which means it is half full! What brainwashed us that much we are too blind to see? The 7 sins stand for skills we are not allowed to use. The church says so, society says so, parents tell you not to and by telling you they take the skills to survive, to improve, to achieve your goals, and feel successful away from you. You are a loser and hope, pray someday you are successful too. In meanwhile, you do nothing to achieve that which means although you blame others for it you can only blame yourself!

Some of us are winners!

How come some of us win and most of us look like a bunch of losers or... feel like a bunch of losers? The answer is clear. Successful people do not care about what others say, think, or believe. They are creative in every way which includes manipulating the rules, the law, using them for their own benefit. A successful person is a business (wo)man in the first place, someone who is able to schedule time, to control himself, and willing to make sacrifices and work hard. Extremely hard! Out of something bad they build something good. They do not focus on the half-empty glass but the half-filled one. This makes a huge difference.

What is it you focus on?

Out of experience I can tell you what success is to one person isn't to someone else. Is hard work 24/7 what you want till you drop dead? Is money and power (both come with responsibilities and sleeping with both eyes open) what success means to you? It isn't to me. The fact is both are worth nothing if it cause you more stress, work and worries and you have no time to enjoy, to spend it the way you like. Another issue is we all die and it is like my granny said "I cannot take it with me into my grave".

Success is what you made out of your life, if you achieved the goals you set for yourself, improved yourself, were able to do the things you like to do most. Only a few can say they did and the rest of us can only say "I've never been to me".

If you think you can answer the question "What does "SUCCESS" mean to you?" write an article about it and see here for what is exactly asked from you.

Thank you for your article. I appreciate your entry. Indeed, a lot of people envy and hate successful people because they can't be like them. They sure want to be called successful but chooses to do nothing in the attainment of their goals. And yes, money or fame is not the only thing connected with success. As long as we feel fulfillment in ourselves, we are successful. :)

I think I can write something about this. The feeling of envy is something that I face for some years. It is not me but others who is being envy of me. I do not have a life that I can call a success yet and I do not know what part of my life making some envy of me before.
