Giving up
Should I easily give up on the car I bought only 1.5 months ago? It took me months to save for it and I am out of money. The car was just picked up by the "car taxi" and it will be taken to a car service an hour driving from here. Driving... I can not drive because I do not have a car, no bike either. The man who picked it up told me some facts about this car and other brands. I guess you know all about it if you pick up broken cars day after day. We had a good chat about this lemon. A car made in France where it apparently never rains. I am wiser now and know why the airbag doesn't function. What I know now too is that the seller lied. He knew the airbag function was broke, said he would fix it later. The rain caused this problem. Rainwater leaks into the car, underneath the seat where the computer is... A computer that is not fond of water.
More car brands and their little secrets are told and I am much wiser. Even if it comes to cars you can throw them away after 5-7 years when the guarantee is over. It feels like a bad marriage. In what kind of wasting world do we live? Will I give up? Not that easily I will fight for my rights. I wrote the seller, who's business is part of a certified organization that gives a guarantee, an e-mail. I want him to find a solution to my problem and pay the bills. In a few hours, I will call the insurance and ask if my car arrived. Later I will find a way to figure out when I know more about everything that's wrong with it and the costs. For now, I will sit in my chair and drink a cup of tea. No car, no need to go somewhere.

I can't help you. I have no idea about cars. A few years ago my car started to cause problems. I had to make some expensive repairs. So I sold the car and bought a newer one. Fortunately, this does not cause any problems.
I bought a newer one too and it causes me problems. The great thing about older cars is they can be repaired. New cars hardly can. If one thing doesn't function there are at least 8 different reasons which can cause it. It keeps the wallet of the car service filled but rarely the problems are solved. Thanks for stopping by. Indeed I saved, bought a lemon and the money is wasted. It sounds to me all modern cars will have problems. The buyers are the victims, those who fabricated it make easy money and the car services laugh out loud.
You can only give up when all options have been exhausted. You have your rights.

Actually I do need the car but better now than during a cold winter. For my children this means two hours extra traveling a day. A total of 5:30 hours for a day school only. ☹
Yes, I am very sorry for them. That they have to spend so many hours traveling to a school that by the way there is no security at all.
If traveling is too much they need to take a break. Today they can travel together. I told them to eat together first before they come back home. Both drag around with two bags of school books and sportclothes which is too much too. My youngest said for three subjects she already receives passwords for homeschooling and the other one read its school is in the news as the first one with a class and teachers in quarantine. Each day is a surprise.
That news is all a matter of politics. As they suggest that everyone should do the same and start classes even with risks. The kids will also be looking forward to getting the car fixed soon.
Yes, or better stay home again. They weren't exactly bored. I would prefer one week school, two weeks off and homeschooling. A good way to spread the risk and stay in touch with the class and teacher plus get some rest.
That would be a good study alternative to start with. And it is also good for fixing the car. In other words, kids don't dislike all that school trip adventure. It seems to me good that they are not frustrated with so much travel.

Interesting incident. I back up the idea fully to fight to cover up losses and one should learn next time before selling crap to someone..Is it still good enough to be called as crap ?
It is at a different car service now. This brand only. I guess they do good business. I haven't heard from that car service yet. I sent an e-mail. I haven't heard from the seller either. During the past years we were a good customer. Always paid at once and cash so the least thing I expect is being lied. If he told me: listen this car sit and drives great but the board computer is... And that airbag not functioning is a result of leaking rainwater blah blah it's up to me to decide if I pass or take the risk. I do not need to have all the luxury but I do need a car that starts if I need it which is 5 times a week at 4:30 am and in the afternoon.
Giving up is not a solution... you have to be a braver... you have to try your best... then God will give you the best.

You can fight till you drop dead, spend thousands of euros on a car for each new repair or get rid of it and buy something else and save yourself the stress and money you don't have. It depends on what is the wisest thing to do and what you can afford.
That's a very sad situation madam, I also experienced to be scam by saying that the thing that I buy is in good condition but in reality it is not good. I feel like angry and I don't know what to do because I use my money that I got from work to buy those things but someone use to abuse my interest, and as a lesson I always keep checking and strict to the things that I will buy so that I can blame myself for being too much trust from the sellers. We can't escape the world with those kind of bad people so as a lesson. Never trust too much but give them a chance. I hope you will be okay and gain back your money or even your car in a good condition. Stay positive thinker brother/sister!
I checked out a lot before I bought the car. I made a longer test drive. Looked at the motor, underneath the car, the car came with a new annual test as well and I did not buy it from someone private but a car service that joins an certified organization that should give guarantee. The thing is you can not check everything. I looked at the internet for car trouble only found a positive review over years. Once the car is broken and you search for a specific problem you find the bad news. The car seller has positive reviews too. So far I haven't heard from him. Yesterday I wrote an email the car is taken to a car service an hour driving away. I'll see what happens today. I am sorry about you being scammed. I understand it makes angry you are fooled and lost what you saved for. ☹
I think it's better if you didn't give up. But, that's your decisicion. Let's just learn from our mistake/s😊
Giving up is not the solution of problem.if you do this tell me if you again face this type of sitution then what will you do?
If something is seriously going to cost you more money then it benefits you. If one repair can make you buy a different car you have to ask yourself if it is wise to continue. I learned once a trouble car will remain a trouble car. One repair after the next will follow. A car needs to start and drive take me from A to B. Not give up on me when it's needed.
i don't really get it but i think you should take the risk if you feel it would benefit you at the end :D
Do not give it up, as what you have said you have saved money for that car. So ask the seller to fix the problem regarding that car. They will surely fix it.

Don't throw your car. You can make it vintage car. Just upgrade your machine or change not functioning items
I wish I could throw the electronics out. Most likely the board computer is the main trouble. It decides when to start or not.

You have to fight for your rights because no one will do it for you. Cars are not actually assets, but liabilities. A car can only be said to be an asset if it generates income for you through transporting passengers and goods in exchange for money.
Saving up for mine as we speak... I wouldn't give up if I were where you are!

I hope too. At the end of the day I know more but it will gonna cost me 50 euro an hour for just looking and most likely they look for the next 8 hours.
