Today it's March 8th, it's Women's day.
For 110 years women worldwide fight for equality. Being equal, being appreciated. Not be seen as the cook, private slave of others, as a baby machine only, an item not different from the chair or a pillow that can be kicked, beaten up, humilated, abused and thrown away if no longer needed.

Did women made it? No, they did not. Many females are still abused, harmed in nearly every way one can imagine. They are abused and used, they are slaves and taken for granted. I wish I could say this is done by men only but it's not true. The fact is women are not supportive if it comes to their own gender. If something goes wrong, men accuse a woman of something, women agree with it.
Mothers agree, watch when fathers, stepfather's, uncles, neighbours, teachers, coches (sexually) molest their child, women are cheering if a 40-year-old man marries their 8-year-old daughter, slaps their child in the face in public, on their child's wedding day.
Women do not give a hand if their neighbour is dragged behind a car through the village, stoned to death. They cheer or shut up, they tell to be a good wife, swallow the humiliations and take the beatings for granted because he is such a good man, he is charming, helpful, good to them.

It's 2021, March 2021. We live in the future. A future that stayed behind in the Medieval age if it comes to women the way we treat them. How we women treat each other. If you ask me it's a big shame. We treat each other as worthless, we dare to look down at other females because it makes us feel better, because what happens to them does not happen to us or worse... it does but we don't care.

What is it that makes us force others to suffer? How come, that we are not willing to reach out, wish someone else has a better life than we do?
It's true the police will rarely show up if you call them, they will not fight for you. They won't give a hand or like to burn theirs. Tracy Chapman already sang about these facts.
Indeed no one will believe you if people violate you and your live looks perfect because of the fancy house, your abuser is well known, famous, rich or a gentleman. And it's true if you never interfered with your neighbours, never greeted them there's no way they reach out for you although they hear the screaming through the walls.

It's also true no woman in a high position will ever give another woman a chance. Women are cruel, harsh and rarely feel pity for another woman who's sick or in need.
Angela Merkel doesn't and neither will any Queen or other woman. Once reached the top women have to fight like a man. They do but even if they fight, work harder or in exactly the same way as a man women will always be called bitches or whores and are not female enough.
Those women who reached the top worked hard are at the top because of men. Men made it possible, men or... money. Those women will rarely fight for women's rights, they will not fight for equality because they are not living all those other women's lives.

After a fight of 110 years women are still not equal to men. Not equal if it comes to studying, not equal if it comes to the salary, not equal if it comes to job interviews, not equal if it comes to driving a car, insurances, a pension, making a career. Not even equal if it comes to children and their rights. For some reason, the rights of children were fought for way earlier and these rights are better protected. For some reason women are still not important enough. For some reason we don't care enough about our mothers, sisters, aunts, caretakers, those who feed and comfort us, make us feel better even if they are broke, they are broken souls themselves and can no longer bear it.

Perhaps today we can make a start, a real start to change the world. Not only men but women too. Let us try to sympathise with all those women who didn't win that lot in the lottery. Let us try to be more understanding and look through their eyes for a change, try to understand how it is to be used, abused, be molested, live in fear. A fear that makes you respond in a certain way, makes you act differently, might even change you into a monster.

Being different, disliked isn't easy, neither is being ignored, humiliated, beaten up and raped day after day. These aren't circumstances one never gets used to.

You might hear, believe or think you know what's going on behind the walls but in reality, you don't. You never know everything, see the complete picture. A picture that is never the same and changes those who it concerns.
If you cannot reach out, don't dare to give a hand, show some respect. You could at least stop gossiping, accusing, speculating, cheering at someone's misery, saying she deserved it or... asked for it and raise your children into good, caring people.
