You already had the virus? Feel for a test?
Today the PM of the Netherlands and the Minister of Health tell the nation - after a week of not doing so - what will happen.
What will happen? Yes, indeed. What will happen to all of us if "we" - which isn't me - keep misbehaving? If so the fun is over and the second lockdown will be a fact. "Of course we don't want this", the PM said. Of course, you always intended to do this tight after the Summer holidays I thought. You don't need a super high IQ to see what's going on. Not a single word is said about caring about our parents and grandparents, the elderly. Why should he? The PM bought a big house which means most likely he no longer lives with his mom or perhaps he does and doesn't like anyone to know the truth.
Hurray! The Netherlands celebrates the summer vacation. It doesn't work out that great. A part arrived in Greece and was sent home. Goodbye Greece most likely it's the last time you saw those people. Many "enjoy" their first days in traffic jams. The temperature is high which means if there's a virus in those cars it will die in about 20 minutes. Just do not ventilate and not use your airconditioning.
Restaurants and bars are open and visitors have to leave their personal info behind. If guests get ill, if there's an outbreak, the restaurant can be closed for 2 weeks. I ask myself if it's worth those few visitors? I mean the 1.5-meter rule still counts. Before the restaurants opened again they were allowed to sell food but only if they delivered it at home or as a takeaway. It worked great, 60% more income for those who went for selling online.
More new rules are set.
Those travelers who went abroad, to an abroad which is called the "orange zone" will be tested, have to go in quarantine for two weeks, and will receive a call from the GGD (District Health Organization) if they are at home in quarantine.
As mentioned earlier the elderly aren't of any concern. Many of them already died because they were not welcome in the hospital. Care was not meant for the elderly.
This doesn't mean there's no reason for concern. It's the youth, the teenagers, the children the PM is angry with! They clearly do not care about social distance or face masks. It's true I saw the gangs of 8-10-year-old kids gathered in front of the supermarkets too. If these kids don't behave we have our next lockdown. Kind of funny since it was the same PM who said: "Let the children go and play!" although many parents were against it.
The students can forget about their "introduction week".
This first week, when activities are organized by the organizations for students, need to be held online. (Since we talk about September we all know what that means.) If that happens it will be the first time in history. The only thing we are waiting for now is the first student dying online during his " introduction". Most likely the organization in Groningen will be the one. They have quite a reputation if it comes to molesting students.
Great one
