Although the girl did not have the approval of her parents, because she was from a wealthy family and the boy unfortunately was from a very low social class, even so she faced her parents, and remained firm with her love and decision, when the day of the wedding arrived, the young woman hired a cab from Caracas to La Guaira (Vargas State), because in the church of the town, her beloved was waiting for her, However, at that time there was no highway to reach this region, but an extremely dangerous road, when they were half way, the vehicle had an accident, the girl impatient to get urgently to her wedding, decided to ask for a ride to a vehicle that was passing through the same way, without thinking this would be her worst decision.

The man gladly accepted to take her, but she did not realize that the man was drunk, because this road had many curves, it was recommended to go at a moderate speed, something that did not happen, the man increased the speed, lost control, and the vehicle suffered a terrible accident, in which the girl died dressed as a bride, and with the pain of not being able to get to meet her beloved. The news reached La Guaira, the groom was devastated, for not being able to see his girlfriend again... As time went by, many travelers who passed through this difficult road, began to notice something strange at night, a girl walked along the side of the road dressed as a bride, as if she was going to pass, and always asked for a ride.

Many would stop and help her reach her destination, but when they passed the curve where Maria's tragic accident occurred, she would turn to look at them and say, "This is where I killed myself". She would automatically disappear but would leave them a bouquet of flowers in the cars, however not everyone had this "luck" and I know you are thinking: "¿You really call that luck?" The truth is yes, because when someone passed by and did not stop to give her a ride, when he was farther away from her place, she automatically appeared in the cars and asked him: "¿Why don't you want to take me?" This caused drivers to lose control of the vehicle causing fatal accidents.

However those who took the worst part were the drivers who passed drunk, many ended up with the car crashed into a curve and dying instantly, was the revenge of Maria for what happened to her, was so much fame that this road got, no one wanted to travel at night, only during the day, those who saw that the sun was already hidden, preferred to stay in a cabin and wait for it to come out again, they did not want to run into this young deceased.

It is terrible what happened to this girl, because of the recklessness and irresponsibility of people who dare to drive in that state. Undoubtedly this leaves a great reflection, at present this road is used only by the bravest or those who want to commit a crime, because about 3 or 4 years later, they inaugurated a highway, which made it easier to reach these beautiful Venezuelan coasts.
