Blue forest

Hallerbos, also known as the Blue Forest, is a forest in Belgium that is covered by millions of wild hyacinths (bellflowers) every spring. This transformation of the forest into a fairytale blue landscape can be seen every year in April and May.

Through the floral carpet of the forest, there are winding paths for visitors who, with the smell of hyacinths, can watch rabbits and deer running through the forest. The phenomenon of “blue forests” is not a rarity in Europe, but Hallerbos stands out because of the unique density and beauty of its flowers, as well as because of its accessibility to visitors (located near Brussels).
