I signed up for read.cash last Sunday and this is article number 14 in my publications list. I'm followed by 13 people, yet in my wallet there is $21.60. I must say I'm impressed and that this is far better than anything I could have expected. I've earned money on social media before but good luck doing that with 13 followers on Instagram, Facebook or whatever.
Now, one can argue that the effort I put in to earn those $21.60 is too much for the income. And it's true, if I were to convert it to an hourly salary, it'd be a total disaster. I haven't counted how long it takes me to write a "proper" informative article or a "thought dump" type of article such as this one. Undoubtedly, this kind of post takes less time. My writings about Linux have certainly more than an hour and a half per piece. I've been writing drafts, then editing a bit, then adding more in my coffee breaks and so on.
Having said that, I'm keen on going on writing on read.cash. Even if the earnings per hour of effort don't go higher than, I still find it worthwhile. I've been writing on other social channels, too. A proper article easily takes an hour but it's guaranteed that I'll earn $0.00, excluding a few brand collaborations. Well, I think I'll take and hold my BCH instead of working for free.
Cryptocurrency is not going to vanish any time soon if ever. Its price is a roller-coaster ride, yet I'm planning to hold my BCH. I don't see a valid reason why at this stage I would use my earnings to buy dinner in the restaurant. I'm waiting for better times. Maybe the price will double. Or I might as well be wrong and lose it. Well, that would be sad but I can't help it.
I love writing and spreading information, and I believe I have some things to share that seem to be underrepresented on read.cash. So big thanks to the team and also to dear Random Rewarder who reads and re-reads my articles! And many thanks to you who read my blabbering!
I have a lot to learn from you,
