What to do when you feel that your life is on hold? Sometimes you can feel as though you are standing still while the world moves on. You know that things will improve, and there is no point feeling down or upset about it, but that doesn't mean you feel any better about it. Sometimes I think that life is on pause, and as people achieve multiple accolades in life, you may ask what about me? When will my fortunateness be?
The answer is that it will come. You have to put in the hard work and wait for it. The world moves on because people push ahead, so don't let yourself fall behind.
Don't let yourself stagnate. Move onward, and you will find that the world comes with you.
In this blog post, I will share some tips you can do if you feel that your life isn't moving.
Take a break.
It may sound crazy as you feel that taking a break from everything can help you move but hear me out first.
Maybe you are already used to your routine and feel you can't live without it. I'm not saying that you have to take a break from your daily tasks, but rather try to change how you do them. Try to do something new and exciting. Maybe you can start reading a new book or join a community of like-minded people. The key here is that you need to find something that will make you feel inspired and motivated again.
You mustn't just do something new for the sake of doing it. Try to find something that will make you happy and fulfilled.
De-clutter your life.
Maybe you have some excess baggage that needs to throw away. Are you holding resentment or ill feelings toward other people? Have you tried letting it go? Envy is a poison that will eat away at your soul. Try to find ways to avoid it as much as possible.
It is okay to admit it to yourself.
I get you, be honest with yourself and work it out. De-cluttering your life will remove the unnecessary things in your life and make room for new items. Simplify your life by eliminating all the undesirable baggage weighing you down. Be gentle with yourself; do not beat yourself up for feeling jealous from time to time.
Meditate.
Take a walk.
Get some fresh air and sunshine.
Visit your friends and loved ones. Spend time with people who support you and make you feel good about yourself. There are many ways to deal with jealousy, but one thing is for sure: it is not easy! It takes time, patience, commitment, and effort to overcome this feeling of envy.
I always remind mindset the right time will come, and I need to be prepared for it when it happens.
Limit your social media exposure.
Studies show that people who spend more time on social media tend to feel jealous. It is because we often compare our lives with those of other people, and seeing someone doing something unique or having fun with their friends can make us feel bad about ourselves.
Limiting your exposure to social media is the only way to avoid feeling jealous. I have found that taking breaks from social media (no matter how short) helps me focus on my life and appreciate what I have instead of focusing on what others have.
A life on hold can happen to anyone, anywhere, and anytime. Some of us even feel like we're stuck in the middle at times - with no way to move forward or progress, unable to go back without regrets. But sometimes, it's just a matter of looking hard enough for a bit of inspiration and finding it through the little things. Take a minute to think about what you want to do in life, and then take action. Please don't wait for someone else to make it happen for you. You are the only person who can make your dreams come true.
Actually lahat nagagawa ko naman hehe, pero siguro dun sa take a break eme. Masyadong ganado kumayod chariz! Thanks for reminding us, TP!
