Once upon a time, there was a very poor laundry in a village. Along with washing clothes, he was very fond of looking at the sky up close. He and his wife used to go to Dhoopi Ghat every day to wash clothes. His wife was drying her clothes. Her eyes fell on the sky and what she saw was an elephant flying from the sky to the ground and as soon as she landed on the ground she disappeared.

The couple's eyes were stunned. At last the elephant went down the mountain. The couple ran and fell asleep and tried to collect as much gold as possible. They were disturbed by the growing darkness of the night and suddenly they came up with an idea. That in the morning they will catch the tail of an elephant and go down to the earth.
It was early in the morning and he did what he had been thinking all night. He left the land and started walking towards his home.
Seeing a poor laundress getting richer day by day, the whole village was shocked and upset that all of a sudden what happened is that the laundress has become so rich.
The people of the village came to Dhobi and asked him the secret of his sudden wealth. Dhobi did not tell them anything. One day Dhobi went out of town for some work. Taking advantage of this, his neighbor came to Dhobi. And in the meanwhile the treasures were squandered.
When Dhobi came back at night, Dhoban told the whole story. Dhobi got very angry at this move but now the matter was out of his hands.
In the morning the whole village came to Dhobi for help so that he could go with them to the fields and help them to reach the treasure with the elephant.
After hearing all this, Dhobi became greedy in his heart that he would go with them and collect the treasure. Thinking this, he agreed to go with them. The next morning all the villagers went out to the fields and their eyes were fixed on the sky.
The elephant began to eat the ground and sugarcane. All the villagers were sitting in this niche that as soon as the elephant finished eating sugarcane, they would all catch its tail and reach this treasure. As soon as the elephant started flying, everyone grabbed its tail. The laundress was holding his tail in the front and so the whole village was flying behind him with an elephant holding each other in a long line.
All the villagers started talking to each other that there would be so much treasure that we would all be able to bring it. Someone said it is better than thinking to ourselves why we should not ask Dhobi. One villager asked Dhobi how much gold is there? Dhobi had gone with the villagers in greed for treasure.
Leaving his tail, he said from the angle of his hands, "So much." It was too late to say that everyone fell to the ground and the elephants began to fly in the sky with pleasure and the villagers were punished for their greed.
