Tonight i want to share something about tausog/muslim special native foods and on my list are all my favorite .
Introducton:
Tausog is one in all the various tribes of filipino muslim here in Philippine and majority of them live Jolo Sulo in Northeastern Mindanao. Tausog known for his or her famous native delicacies and dish. The four of them i will be able to discuss it now.
1. TIYULA ITUM may be a combination of the word tula and itum. Tula is cooking with soup ang itum is black due to the burned coconut because the main ingredient being mix to the meat it's also the famous dish that can't lost within the feast of each celebration.
2. PIYANGGANG MANOK could be a consisting of chicken braised in turmeric, onions, lemongrass, ginger, siling haba chilis, garlic, coconut milk, and ground burnt coconut. it's almost the identical with tiyula itum their only differ in soup. The piyanggamg manok has no soup.
3. PIYASSAK is additionally is just really like tiyula itum cook with burned coconut but this one has COCONUT MILK. The coconut milk is use not make as its soup but to let absorb by the liver meat. The main ingredient of this is a liver or heart of the beef meat.
4. SATTI may be a common food in Mindanao, but it's originated from jolo and one among kind food of tausog. Its main ingredients are small pieces of beef, grilled on hot coals until it becomes red-black in color. Eaten along with rice cooked in coconut leaves, it's dazed on a red-coloured, spicy sauce.
