Hello and welcome! This is the second article of my article series where I present to you some Skillshare classes that I found interesting and you might want to check out if you are into the topic.

By the way, if you have also read the first part of this article series, you may notice that the format of this article is a little different from the previous one, I didn’t really want to do this but I had to do it because otherwise it was looked very similar to the previous one and Read was not allowing me to publish it.

Rules are rules. LOL

In case you don’t know what Skillshare is, I have written an article about it and you can find it here, but simply put, it's an online platform with thousands of classes on various topics. It's very affordable in general, but anyone can try it at no cost at all since they do offer a free month trial period. But more on that at the end of the article. Now let’s talk about our class.

The full name of the class that I would like to present today is ‘Writing Crystal Clear Copy: Copywriting Basics for Beginners’. It’s a class that teaches us how to write clear, persuasive copy and communicate our message plainly. A class that can benefit all of us here in Read for sure, simply because of what we all do here… we write. And copywriting is teaching us to be better writers.

This class is made by Ruth Clowes. She is a freelance copywriter and also a copywriting trainer from the UK. She is a member of ProCopywriters and trained with the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Andy Maslen Copywriting Academy. This seems very impressive to me!

Here is a small sample of the lessons that someone can find inside this class.

  • Know Your Reader

  • Short, Sharp Sentences

  • The Active Voice

  • Find the Right Words

  • Polish Your Copy

Ruth actually teaches us simple and effective ways to transform our copy from boring to brilliant!

The duration of the class is 38 min and includes 12 lessons. From what I see at the moment that I write, 43 students are watching this specific class and Ruth has 3.066 students in total! Great!

If you would like to attend this class for free, and also any other class that Skillshare offers, you can just click on the phrase ‘One month on Skillshare for free!’ below. This way you can sign up and get your one-month free trial period.

One month on Skillshare for free!

Just to be open and transparent with you, I would like to let you know that I am also a teacher and affiliate of Skillshare, and the above link is an affiliate link. Thank you very much in advance if you use it to create your account and if you would like to learn more about affiliate marketing in general, you can read my article here.

Cool, I believe that we have covered everything now. Thanks a lot for reading my article today and if you would like to read more from me, besides what I have here in Read and in Noise, feel free to check out my newsletter, where I write about my journey in the make money online world. What I like, what I do, what I think, etc.

You can find my newsletter here. Oh, and if you liked my content, please remember to subscribe.

Thanks again, I wish you have a really great day!

Cool, thanks Unity! By the way, is there an online teaching platform that you consider your favorite?

These teaching platforms may help a lot in getting visibility to the student community. Then, you can teach online using any video conferencing tool, preferably an open-source one. Since you have raised the question, I will write about it in a future article. Keep in touch.
