Especially here in India, it is one of the most popular food in the hated category of parents but loved by children anytime round the year. Most people treat it as a no option meal at the time when a person feels idle during his/her day. It's a stereotypical thought in India that Maggie/instant noodles is equal to MAIDA (All-purpose flour) especially amongst the adults which is obviously unhealthy to an extent the body that it can gives an overdose of fat and refined carbs, which disrupts your metabolism, leads to inflammation, hyperinsulinism, insulin resistance and eventually type II diabetes, heart disease, whereas this is just a single ingredient of it.
History behind the door:
Instant noodles were invented by Momofuku Ando of Nissin Foods in Japan. They were launched in 1958 under the brand name Chikin Ramen. In 1971, Nissin introduced cup noodles. Instant noodles are marketed worldwide under many brand names. With tremendous amount of growth they have largely extended their hands to every corner of the world specially East Asia, Southeast Asia and South Asia. Currently China , Indonesia and India are residing at the consumers summit of instant noodles.
Indian Statistics shows:
It has been seen that in 2019 Maggie sales went up to 264,000 which surpassed it's own statistics before getting banned and also Maggi noodles were the excellent performers during 1st wave of COVID lockdowns as they have run out of smaller packs & demand for Maggi had surged 20-25 per cent over the pre-lockdown period. Crazy ? Right!
My Personal Experience :
I am sure everyone has their affection for instant noodles especially when it comes to children but from eating a small packet of 5 rupees to eating 3 normal size packets a day , I have played it all. But does it had a impact on me? I guess the answer lies in the back of the our brain. I have always loved the taste with my heart and soul but due to my influential parents who has never made me an addict to an extent it can harm my health.

The truth behind the Mystery:
Let's run through the spices, as it contain spices such as turmeric, cumin, coriander, red chili, clove, aniseed powder and other mixed spices which has lots of perks rather than consequences in our well-being history.
Turmeric is used to fight inflammation in the brain which reduces Alzheimer's and depression . Because of its anti-inflammatory qualities, curcumin is also effective at reducing pain and swelling in people with arthritis. And animal studies indicates that curcumin could have powerful anti- cancer properties. Clove is the spice to treat tooth problem since it contain anti-inflammatory and anti- bacterial properties. Cumin is known to relieve you from digestive problems, reduce your chances of anemia and alleviate common cold. Coriander powder may reduce your sugar level and rich in immune boosting anti-oxidants. Red chili reduces weight and also relieves in nasal congestion. Maggie is also enrich in calories i.e., approx. 350 due to the courtesy of wheat refined flour (MAIDA) but at the same time it is nutrients deficient. It is also vitamin less or fiber less food which can lead to constipation, heart diseases and cancer but only in chronic intakes. Lead also plays a major role in enhancing a food taste along with other ingredients but since taking within permissible limits has no severe long-term effects suggested by doctors. And also due to augmentation of sodium concentration which simply assists in balance of body fluids and prevents low blood pressure.
Conclusion:
So, it can be well said that Maggi noodles alone in regular intakes can cause severe human health issues ,but if we'll eliminate the major deficiency of nutrients and vitamins then I am sure it won't affect anything apart from fulfilling our diet . Added vegetables, chicken, eggs and other nutrient product shall be served on the table along with any instant noodles because remember good things never come easy.
