Good day everyone, it's another weekend hope you have a wonderful week at work or anywhere you at. This article of mine today gives me a thought that maybe I have this or some people around me.

Narcissism - is extreme self-involvement to the degree that it makes a person ignore the needs of those around them. While everyone may show occasional narcissistic behavior, true narcissists frequently disregard others or their feelings. They also do not understand the effect that their behavior has on other people. (webmd.com/mental-health)

It's vital to remember that while narcissism is a personality feature, it can also be a symptom of another condition. Narcissistic Personality Disorder does not affect all narcissists (NPD). People with narcissistic tendencies are generally charming and charismatic. They are frequently slow to display negative behavior, especially in relationships. Others who exhibit narcissism frequently prefer to be surrounded by people who feed their egos. Even if the interactions are only superficial, they form them to reaffirm their self-perceptions.

Kinds of Narcissism traits

Grandiose Narcissism

People with this behavior were most likely treated as if they were superior or above others during childhood. As they get older, these expectations may follow them. They tend to boast and be elitist. Grandiose narcissists are arrogant, domineering, and overestimate their significance. They are self-assured and lack sensitivity.

Vulnerable Narcissism

The most common cause of this behavior is childhood neglect or abuse. This type of person is extremely sensitive. They use narcissistic behavior to shelter themselves from thoughts of inadequacy. They are upset or anxious when others do not treat them as if they are exceptional, even when they alternate between feeling inferior and superior to others.

Sense of Entitlement

A common sign of people with narcissism is the belief that they are superior to others and deserve special treatment. They believe that others should be obedient to their wishes and that the rules don’t apply to them.

Manipulative Behavior

Manipulative or dominating behavior is another narcissistic feature. A narcissist will strive to impress and delight you at first, but their selfish demands will always come first. To maintain control, narcissists will strive to keep others at a safe distance when interacting with them. They may even take advantage of others to benefit themselves.

Need for Admiration

People with this behavior need to feel validation from others and often brag or exaggerate their accomplishments for recognition. They also like to feel appreciated to boost their ego.

Lack of Empathy

Another symptom of narcissism is a lack of empathy. This indicates that the narcissist is reluctant or unable to sympathize with other people's needs, desires, or feelings. It is also tough for them to accept responsibility for their actions.

Arrogance

People with narcissistic behavior already see themselves as superior to others, so they may become rude or abusive when they don’t receive the treatment they think they deserve. While they hold themselves superior, they may speak or act rudely toward those that they deem to be inferior.

Taking Care of Narcissism

With the correct treatment, people with high degrees of narcissism or NPD can learn to recognize their behavior. This can benefit their life as well as the lives of people around them. Historically, narcissists have avoided seeking therapy because it contradicts their self-image. They may require the support of a loved one to seek expert assistance. If you understand that you're in a relationship with a narcissist, you can adjust your partnership's dynamic and challenge your partner to improve their perception of you and your relationship. It is feasible to alter the appearance of your partner and yourself to assist lessen the effects of narcissistic behavior.

You can start to shift your self-esteem to self-compassion if you notice narcissism in yourself. Instead of comparing yourself to others, this means treating yourself with kindness. You can quit comparing yourself to others, which will reduce your desire for praise and recognition.

All these statements are based on the statements of psychiatric observation of the mental health of a person. Some are taken from the webmd.com/mental-health. This server is only a guide to those people who are in this kind of situation and gives an idea for you when in time that you need to seek a piece of advice from the professionals.

Thank you for your time reading my article for the day. Have a wonderful weekend to all and God bless.

This kind of traits really exists, but if we can determine that our families have it, it's better to understand them, rather than criticizing their behavior. People have it may not notice that kind of help they needed.
