This is base on my understanding and some are from the books I have read in the past. I still have this curiosity in me about what's in Heaven and Hell. I grew up as a churchgoer, my mother is a devoted catholic she make sure that I and my sister will also have activities in the church so we joined a church choir and Lourdes. We also go to Catholic school we must memorize the holy rosary and also the novena. My mother has this collection of books aside from the bible she has this book of The life of Stains, books about Healing, Revelation and The life in Purgatory, and others. In me, I never question and test my belief for me there is a God no matter who He is, what He is. I will not elaborate further on who God is because we have different beliefs and understanding about who HE was.
This is the result of my exchange of opposite views with my partner ( he thinks rational) that is why sometimes we have some topics to argue ( just for discussion, no hurt feelings)

In my own understanding, and also based on my mother's explanation about Heaven and Hell.
HEAVEN
Biblically speaking, it is described as a dwelling place of God, there are Angeles singing, it was peaceful, beautiful, full of love and happiness. It was described as a wonderful place that no one could explain the feeling of beauty and wonder in other words it's PARADISE.
It is amazing to just think how it looks, indeed it was a wonderful experience when we go there. The question is HOW? they say that only people who have pure hearts are allowed, the chosen ones, people who have not sinned.
In the mind of a rational thinker, there is no place like Heaven. If it is the dwelling place of God and God is righteous and forgiving He will not choose people who would enter His Paradise. The God that we call is mercy full in that case why He allows His people to suffer. The Heaven base in our life is here on earth as a human our self is the heaven, we do good to others treat them well, we as a person if we can treat each other in a better way as we could that's we call heaven. But not all people in the world have a kind heart we have our different characteristics it's either good or bad.
HELL or PURGATORY
It is described as the realm of Satan, there is an ocean of fire and you can see the souls underneath the ocean. It is so unpleasant to look at you can hear the cry of the suffering souls, the smell is awful anywhere you look, souls are shouting for help, there is no stopping of torturing and beating.
That is the place that most of us don't want to go to when we die but we never knew where our souls go.
The rational-minded thinks, that Hell is here on earth. As we all experienced in the world today it is like living in Hell. People experience hell when we have a difficulty in life that it seems our problem won't end when we are depressed and other things that drag us down into our limits. That is the personal hell that we experience.
For me, I can not say that the place of Heaven is above the blue skies and Hell is below us. As a person we are the heaven and hell, our life to live here on earth is just borrowed it is up to us how we live our life it's either to do good or bad, it's our choice. We never knew when will be our time to die. The real thing that will happen to us when we die is that we feel nothing, it's either we burned into ashes or buried six feet under until we rot.
Thoughts to ponder
As long as we live here on earth we must cherish everything that comes into our life, life is short, don't waste it. And as long as we can do good make it, and don't count on what are the blessings you have, share them.
