If we define the word genuine according to Webster dictionary

1: actual, real, or true : not false or fake. [=authentic]

2: sincere and honest genuine emotions

worship also means1: to honor or show reverence for as a divine being or supernatural power

2: to regard with great or extravagant respect, honor, or devotion

if I paraphrase it in my own words it is simply A True and Sincere reverence for someone in natural being.

What I would like to convey to my reader is that, A Genuine Worship to our Heavenly Father. How can we worship God genuinely? As we start this year 2022, for us Christians the most important thing that we need to evaluate is our area of worship to our God. because he is Our supreme being that needs to be revered above all else. Before we can Worship God genuinely we need to consider (four) 4 things in order for you and me to worship Him genuinely. These are the Pre-requisites of TRUE WORSHIP.

I would like to quote the verses from Genesis 22:1-19 but we will consider only few verses to support my topic, maybe the story of Abraham and his son Isaac is very familiar to us, but there are things that we can learn from their Story. Abraham was asked by God to offer His one and only son to God. As we have read Abraham didn't complain instead He obeyed.

verse 3 "Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. " these verses speaks about the first pre-requisite for Genuine Worship and that is

1. PREPARATION- Abraham loaded His Donkey prepared the necessary things needed for His worship to God in Mt. Moriah. He was excited to worship God regardless of the fact that He will be offering His Son. But He prepared everything. It's the same with us when we go to the house of god to worship we need to prepare our heart it means with purity and sincerity to honor Him.

   “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.” in verse 5 here is the second pre-requisite for genuine worship and it speaks about

2. EXPECTATION- Abraham is fully aware that He will be offering his son so how come they will come Back? in here we can see that Abraham believes that God will do something great and that is what He expects. So, as with us when we go to the house of god to Worship we will anticipate and expect that God has something for you. Expect he has a message especially for you and that is what He also expects from us our heart full of excitement to worship and honor Him.

"When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am,” he re plied. in here it speak the

1. CONCENTRATION-" in verses 9-10 in here we can see that Abraham is totally focused on obeying and worshipping the Lord, He care so much to Follow God's instruction not focusing on what God is asking from Him. when He was called by God He answered directly because He has focused himself on honoring and obeying Him. So as also, we didn't go to worship God just to show off our clothes or anything but our sole focus should be to honor and worship God. It's not about us it's God the reason why we go to church.

2. CONSECRATION-this the last one, the first three pre-requisite are nothing without this fourth one, because with consecration the whole surrendering of our life to God we cannot worship God genuinely.
