Follow The Tipster - Betting Strategy

I've been using this strategy for a couple of years off and on, but only just recently decided to start blogging about it, Initially on the peakd front end to the Hive blockchain. And now i'm bringing that strategy here to Read.Cash.

I'll be sharing the ups and downs of the bets I place each day following the Top Tipsters in the UK. And yes I will be putting my own actual money where my mouth is and placing real bets on the selections mentioned in my posts.

So, now onto the actual strategy...

Here in the UK, one of our racing publications - The Racing Post - hosts a bi-annual competition that brings tipsters from around the country together to showcase their ability as a tipster by returning the biggest profit on a £1 Win bet for their chosen NAP (i.e. their best bet) for the day. As I said this is a bi-annual event as there essentially two season for horse racing in the UK - the flat season, and the jumps season ( although since the advent of all-weather surfaces both flat and jumps can pretty much be run all year round).

For our purposes, we will be following, the Tipster who is ranked 1st in the NAPS Table - the current version of which can be viewed HERE, and also on other racing sites. I'm also not going to be as brave as the Tipsters involved in this, after all tipping is their job, not mine, so my stakes will be a fraction of theirs at a modest £0.10p per bet initially, although this may increase in future with some successful results. The trick with any type of gambling is to to risk only what you can afford to lose.

The official start to the flat season campaign was back in April, so the Tipsters have all had a good few weeks to establish themselves into a pecking order and looking at the current table we can see that the current leader (using a nickname) is Expert Eye - obviously living up to that name so far, and from other versions of the table I've seen he his currently running at an 18-22 W/L record showing a profit of £41.87 for an ROI of 104.7%. So following him is probably a pretty good starting point for this strategy.

And so, onto our first (or Expert Eye's) selection:

2nd June    3.20 Leicester     Gisburn   Odds i managed to get : 11-2  (currently at 4-1 with the bookie I used)      Potential returns £0.65 (profit £0.55)

Thanks for reading, and if you do have a little punt on this let me know how you got on.

Happy betting

Always interest into betting strategies, so I follow you. Are you sure about that 104%, shouldn't this be 4% which is a dream for a professional sports bettor. I am currently on a rag to riches scheme. So starting with a bet and rolling over the result into the next one. Trying to create a chain of 40 winning bets. Odds always have to be above 1.15.

Good luck, Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for reading. The ROI of 104% is correct - With a 18-22 record he has placed 40 bets @ £1 stake which equates to total staked £40. His profits are £41.87 (Returns would be £81.87). ROI calculation is 41.87 divide by 40 multiply by 100 = 104.675 (rounded to 104.7) . Effectively he's added £41.87 to what could be considered his betting balance of £40.

Interested by your rags to riches scheme, and having read your last post on the subject looks pretty straightforward particularly the basketball side of it. Not much of a fan of tennis, but could certainly be worth a look into, especially with Wimbledon not far away. Banking some of the winnings on each win is a good idea i think, and as you say gives you readily available funds for the next attempt.

Good luck with your efforts, Steve
