The role of parents on their kid's behavior, style, and approach to circumstances is very crucial since they are the first ones that the kids see when dealing with everyday life. It is hard when you are not ready to be one by the time a child is delivered to you. It's like a package with an empty box where you don't know where to start. I'm not yet a parent, or perhaps never will be, but I do have things that I see on my parents that I will pass on if ever I will have a kid.
The phrase 'home education' refers to the family's educational effect on children. It has been proven that children gain a variety of experiences in varied family situations by participating in various activities and are continually subjected to a variety of effects and demands from the people with whom they live. The family, as a cell, operates only out of love and respect, and it rules over comprehension, affection, and communication.
Whenever parents participate in their children's learning, the results are typically good and motivating. However, there are instances that the parents don't see the impact of their anger towards the kids and still get the surprised face when their kid is not doing good. It is important for a parent to be able to approach a kid in a way that they know will reflect a good mind inside. Especially in learning, as most kids are being homeschooled, patience and eagerness to learn are a must. Authoritative parenting style over the kid must be permanent in order for the youngster to achieve strong academic performance. To be successful in the learning program we are doing with the kid, we should be acquainted with certain rules that are related to the child's developmental milestones and moreover, we need to be familiar with some rules that are related to the child's emotional growth.
Maternal views about academics may have a big impact on how well their kids do in class, but it's quite crucial to strike the correct mix of academic achievement. Many guardians go too far in their participation. Over-involvement can lead to you intervening too frequently in matters that should be handled by the kid.
While every parent genuinely cares for their kid, poor parenting can sometimes change the way of the car. Child neglect has several harmful consequences in your child's life. As a result, it is critical for each parent to assess his or her parenting abilities in order to understand the consequences of certain parental involvement on the kid. Before, I always think that the behavior of a kid is the result of how a parent managed to control him or her, but it all changed based on my experience and what I see in my environment. Parents are not the only ones who will have to take care of their child's mind. Friendship or buddies from the outside might also influence their way of thinking. I know kids who are younger than me who are able to shout at their parents as if they do not care about the idea of respecting the reasons of one another. Kids can shout but they also have to be on the right path rather than defending a mistake that should never be done. Communication must be a give and take. One should not always be the one to take and the other one to give because, in the end, they will just regret everything.
Personally, I think one of the best approaches that parents should start doing to their kids should be focusing on the "process", rather than the result. Most people, even those who are not parents, are only focused on the outcomes and not the effort of an individual who put a lot of work into a piece of art. I think parents who listen to their kids, whether it's a problem at school or something they want to do tomorrow, are pretty much very close to one another. I have people who are having a hard time listening to other people because, most of the time, they are not really interested in the topic. And that's where everything falls down. I'm an introvert and I don't talk to people a lot, but when I do, I overshare, but not to the point that I give clues on who I am as a person. So as a reciprocate, whenever a person tries to tell a story and gets interrupted, I find a way for them to tell their side. It's one of the things that I consider to be an underrated move since most people ignore the fact that there are people who want to be heard and once they don't get that, it will hurt them a lot.
Parents' support is critical for their children's educational and personal development. Disappointment and accomplishment are inextricably linked, and indeed the role parents play in their children's lives shapes them. Several youngsters struggle with grades but excel in plenty of other areas; guardians should value these abilities instead of dismissing their children as underachievers. Parents must also understand that when it comes to future wants, they are just there to be the guide and not the decision-maker. It will be hard for a child to think properly when he or she is being forced into something that isn't aligned with his or her wants.
It is a big burden to carry on when a parent makes the oldest child the breadwinner of the family. Yes, it is the oldest's responsibility to help the family but not all the time, they are there to take care of everything. They have personal wants and needs and only they are to work in order to have it. It is much hard when parents don't listen and don't even try to understand the idea of proper communication.
Experiencing negative vibes at a young age can cause a lot of damage to an individual. There is an American serial killer by the name of Aileen Wournos who had a terrible childhood that led to a bad ending. Her story became a movie starring Charlize Theron, who won an Academy Award for her performance, entitled "Monster". Aileen had a troublesome family wherein at a young age, she decided to run away from home. She met a girl who was at her side but then turned her back by the time she was arrested for murdering men while Aileen was working as a call girl. I can't imagine the negative emotion she was having when the world fall on her shoulders because if I was in that situation, I would have just ended my life right there. Childhood trauma can and will bring back memories if that same thing happened when you start to live on your own. An individual may have a hard time making decisions and dealing with problems when he or she doesn't have someone to lean on.
Parents are not the only ones responsible for their kid's future, but they will make a big influence on who they will become as they grow up.
Agreed!. Parents are the first teacher.. Their kid's attitude and behaviour is basically the reflection on how their parents disciplined and guided them as they grow up..
