Clarita - Full Story Review
18-year-old Clarita Villanueva gained media attention not just in the Philippines but in abroad as well, not because of being in the show business industry or something but because of, as they call it, "demonic possession".
There is actually a movie about the story of Clarita, starring Jodi Sta. Maria. The movie is really amazing. I recommend you to watch it.
So Clarita Villanueva was born in 1937 in Bacolod City, Philippines and when she was 18 years old, that is 1957, she made headlines. After her parents died, she moved to Manila for work. I mean, most people from the province, from that time until now, really see the main city of the Philippines as the building block to success. It was like where all the jobs can be so you can have the life you have ever dreamed off and I can't blame her for going to the city.
She worked as a maid in Manila City and eventually found love but soon broke up with the guy since she found out that the guy is already married. She then worked as a dancer in an unknown club. I don't really think if that is a good idea to work as a dancer but we can't really blame these people if they really want to have money.
But one night, as she was heading home, she was picked up by police who thought that she was homeless. Because of that, she was put in prison.
While in prison, that's where she started experiencing these strange things. She said that she started seeing "The Thing". This thing is said to be originally two creatures. Both having a vampire-like appearance like having fangs, curly hair, and large eyes. When I actually read this statement, I already can compare her case with the "Emily Rose" (film name) case. Even though in the film, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, there was no vampire-like creature that Rose saw, but her seeing those things can be compared to what Villanueva experienced. Both of them only saw what they had described.
Clarita was reported to suddenly scream loud or became hysterical at some point and then lose consciousness.
Like Rose's case, Villanueva's came across the battle between Science and non-scientifical explanation. Most people say that it's "hysterical fugue". Well I mean, the science and the Bible have already been in a battle from how the world is made up to these kinds of cases.
But due to what medical experts see in her body, the bite marks are what this "vampire-like" creature came to be a true essence. The bite marks seemed to be big compared to what a normal human can have. It also had been reported that these marks were seen forming out of nowhere.
During her exorcism, she told the minister to go away and even cursed God. Okay, when you say these things like cursing God or making fun of him, it is no longer a medical issue or something. I truly believe that if ever you experience some kind of mental issue, the name of God will never be said in any situation since He should be the one we hold onto. An hour had passed, Clarita seemed to go back to normal. It was then the Lord's prayer was recited as Clarita said the prayer too. After that, she indicated that "The Thing" went out the window.
Her story became the inspiration of many to believe in the name of God and to continue praying for life.
