Solitude—we often feel like being alone sometimes. Despite of the saying "no man is an island", being alone isn't a bad thing at all. We all do have a point in our lives where we need to face our struggles alone or the silent battles as they say.
However, connecting with people is also a good thing. We build our bonds stronger with the people around us, make friends, establish social ties etc. There is nothing wrong with growing your social relationships with everyone. Life is much happier and brighter if we could have a support system from the people we cherish the most.
Going back to solitude, the state of being alone somehow pertains to as having peace. Most of us often seek calmness especially in times like this where everything around us seems in chaos; we want to find peace in different ways. As this pandemic prolongs, many have come to find something new or discover a portion of themselves that they never see before.
Futhermore, one of the best things about being alone is having a free time to do the things that you wanted to do. The freedom to spoil yourself without any worries that others may stop you from doing so. Also, we tend to know more about us when we are all by ourselves.
In fact, based on different studies, being alone is a part of growth process and adds up to our improvement as a person. When we deal with our own problems and surpassed it on our own, we feel this sense of accomplishment and motivation. We somehow feel the ease and afterwards, our mindset is set to the idea that no matter what struggles we might get into, we know that we can be able to survive.
Having peace is not hard to achieve, more likely maintaining peace can be. Our path maybe full of ups and downs, but it is up to us on how we will ride the waves of life. Let us make peace as our anchor throughout our life. Be still and always trust the ones above us.
