Satoshiwall.cash should not Tolerate THIS

I am very thankful that the Bitcoin Cash community is doing everything for the welfare of everybody. It includes sending bitcoin cash with low fees, fast transaction, platforms like eatBCH, merchant adoption and rewarding writers for making good content like yours.org, honest.cash and read.cash.

And monetize anything at satoshiwall.cash.

Monetize anything?

It's good that people will have unlimited choices. It will provide earnings for those who aren't that gifted when it comes to writing and can monetize anything they have (well that is if also your content was unlocked).

That's the good thing about not setting limitations however it is also a must that there should be limitations because "anything" can mean monetize your good and bad doings.

This contents are alarming

I have been exploring satoshiwall.cash a while ago and these bothers me

I know we can enjoy our freedom whenever and wherever. I do not have the right to tell this people that they should stop this but what I am most concerned is how it will affect Bitcoin Cash.

What will others say?

Is it promoting bitcoin cash?

I don't how accurate would this calculations be. But I think after a month if these type of contents continue it will greatly affect Bitcoin Cash.

Satoshiwall does earn 10% of any profit that their users earn from making paywall which means satoshiwall also generates a little income.

It can been seen in their FAQ section

Satoshiwall could become famous within a month only if its creators share to the people they know that they are generating money through satoshiwall and could earn more through referrals.

If one of them could just share that they were making money by taking pictures of their bodies and private parts and let's say this news was spread widely and attracted a lot of people. We don't know if who are them but there is a great possibility that it could attract "haters" of bitcoin cash. And I know for sure you know what will happen next.

Take action now

Everyday bitcoin cash supporters is battling against it's haters (we cannot stop that) and I know it's normal but we can prevent it from happening (not to add more problems of course).

To satoshiwall,

I hope you will take an action on this. I am thankful that you also became part of my sponsors but what I am suggesting right now is crucial. Let us both uplift bitcoin cash.

I hope you understand.

Being in this community made me want to protect it and not to mention how it helped me but for now, this is the least I can do.

We also have to consider that Bitcoin is for everyone - good or bad. What if a porn site starts accepting it - some would like it and others may not. Who decides its good? Money doesn't play morality

I'm hoping BCH can be considered as Money

How about if you try visiting the site :) There were more sales than those who did actually take effort writing articles. I know for sure that the main goal of satoshiwall.cash is to promote writing abilities since making a paywall in it is likely inclined to writing.

My first article there is the highest views (17) and the recent one had 8 paid views

I understand what you are talking about

That's good. For now, it depends on the team of satoshiwall whether to accept this suggestion or not.

But for now, I think the feeling is still different when you have earned something from hardwork.

Well to be fair, the slogan is "monetize ANYTHING". I really mean it. I have no issue with people selling their nudes. But people shouldn't be exposed to it by default.

My main reason why I have suggested not tolerating these contents is that I was planning to give leaflets here in my town where it's content includes all about bitcoin cash, how it can help everyone and how they can buy, sell or earn it. Satoshiwall and read.cash will also appear in my leaflets. Then after that, if majority of the people in my town uses Bitcoin cash (mostly for sure will be teenagers), I will introduce to stores that they should start accepting Bitcoin cash. To make this happen, I need first to educate everyone here. It would be hard, but I will do it.

My most concern now is my country protects human rights, selling your body here would be illegal (if they learn about satoshiwall and can see that could generate bitcoin cash easily through selling nudes). I do not want that to happen. If you can help me with these, I would be happy to introduce satoshiwall to everybody.

Frankly, I think a lot of what we call the Internet is there thanks to porn. I think having an adult section on satoshiwall might bring in more people to Bitcoin Cash than any other type of content. However, as Alex (Satoshiwall) correctly noted - it should be a separate site or a section of the site.

I just realized, the suggestion should be having s separate section for adult site. I am only 19 years old and in my country things like this are illegal. While writing this article, I also thought that there were many bch users are of my age.

Yeah, I mean, you can't remove porn from the Internet, you can only separate it :)

Here's my final question. Is it really ok? Are you sure this won't destroy the image of bitcoin cash? Hehehhe, still curious.

Absolutely not. You can pay for tons of erotic and porn content using Bitcoin Cash already. :)

You should have told me this earlier but I still have a problem. I was preparing something, planning to introduce bitcoin cash in my town by giving them leaflets which contains basic knowledge about bitcoin cash written in our own language. Making them know how it can help them will make them seek on how to buy, sell or most would ask how to earn it (for now I think I could only talk to teenagers in my town, I am still shy when talking to elders). There I would introduce them read.cash and satoshiwall. Now if satoshiwall take action on separating adult contents I would be grateful since spellings nudes is illegal in my country. After I have achieved this, I will introduce Bitcoin cash to stores in my town and how it will help them. To guarantee that they would accept my proposal, I need first a lot of people in my town knowing about bch and use it later to pay on stores.

That's my plan.

It's a great plan! I think satoshiwall already agreed that it needs to be a separate site or something, so I don't think you need to worry about that.

It might be illegal, but there is a huge porn site (I won't name it), they publish some statistics every year. In 2019 Philippines was #8 in the countries from where the visits to that site originate, between Australia and Italy, higher than Mexico, Brazil, India, Russia and Argentina :) It might be illegal, but people are doing it anyway... a lot!

Bitcoin Cash would be used for nudes/erotic/porn anyway, that's the idea of "uncensorable" money - you can't stop people from using it for any purpose, even if it's illegal. Politicians are using this card against Bitcoin since day one, that Bitcoin is used for illegal activities, despite US dollars in cash being #1 choice for illegal activities worldwide. People still use US dollars and don't really care.

Yes, I must say that there are people still doing that. The Philippine government has awareness about that. That is why, I can always saw in the news that there were parents captured for using their children as sex and earning material, raiding some bars and so much more. I will be personally distributing the leaflets and is exposing myself to them. Now if I tell them and learned through satoshiwall that they can monetize their body. I will be blamed by that.

I am thankful that satoshiwall has paid attention to my article. I can do my work without having to worry of this.

Agree absolutely! The success of the GIF format can be partially explained by erotic and porn images.

freeedom! why should it be moderated? i don't see your point here. it's based on a blockchain. most people in crypto are ancaps and libertarian and this is kind of the point.

I have nothing against freedom but I am after how it will affect Bitcoin cash. Could you just imagine this? "Sell your body for Bitcoin cash" I don't find it as an interesting news :)

i mean, porn is freely available online and a multi-billion dollar industry. people do the same thing on snapchat, instagram, with cash, etc. i don't see how this is really a negative. sure, it's not the most appropriate thing in the world and not something you'd want on a front page. but, at least people are using it haha.

Porn is indeed freely available online. Anyone can access it. But how we promote earning bitcoin cash by selling your body is inconsiderable. The goal is to gain most hearts and can we really achieve it? I am really sorry, but I see bitcoin cash as important as the tool that can unite the online. This is an opinion. It's yours to judge.

To play the devils advocate: Why wouldn't you want it on the front page? Why is it not the most appropiate thing?

If it is as common as you claim, and it's more or less everywhere, why not embrace it as any other usecase? Also, isn't it an actually appropiate use-case, seeing how it works in the same way as the lawnmower example - that is, reversible transactions are not fit for irreversable work. Mowing a lawn cannot be undone, and someone taking part in paid-for media cannot be "unseen".

I do agree with you, I don't want porn all over my news sites or social feeds, but at the same time I can't help but think that these things are kindof unimportant. Most clothes marketing in the western world is more or less just enticing soft-not-quite-porn already.

We had a similar kind of spam/trolling on read.cash a few weeks back which forced them to take action. We could consider this as a low level troll attempt to discredit satoshiwall.cash and BCH

A workaround could be the setup a NSFW category link and move these posts to that, so default home page doesn't have them, but users can click on that category page to access/post it- yours.org did that

Thanks for your comments. I've been thinking about how to handle this type of content. Currently, I have no particular rules except tolerating anything that isn't illegal. I agree that mixing SFW and NSFW contents is bad.

In order to keep Satoshiwall family friendly, I'm planning to spin up another instance of the platform under a different brand and migrate all adult content to it.

I'm also working on a following based paywall feed. Instead of having one global feed everyone will just see the paywalls of users they're following. Like Twitter. No more posting nonsense and having it exposed to everyone.

//edit: Of course, you will still be able to access any paywall via URL.

Let me know what you think!
