Mercury Square Saturn

With Mercury currently retrograde and square to Saturn, it will be quite an interesting day. Retrogrades happen when Earth is passing or being passed by other planets. It reminds me of being on a stationary train, looking out the window and seeing another train moving forward. You have a sensation that you are moving backwards and this is why it is said that when a planet is retrograde it's moving backwards but it's not.

Retrograde amplifies the qualities of that planet and in this case, Mercury has to do with communication. Now to add to the retrograde Mercury is square to Saturn. Saturn is all about restriction and will inhibit the communication of Mercury, hence the interesting time we are in. A square is a 90-degree angle between planets and is regarded as blocked or disharmonious.

Today is a great time to meditate and observe your thoughts. This will help with any confusion which you might be experiencing. Only observe the thoughts, no need to judge them. Write them down if it helps as sometimes there could be anxiety. For example, something you need to remember to do which came up in the meditation. Best to stop meditating, write it down and then return to your meditation.

Meditation is sitting down in a comfortable position with your spine erect. As thoughts come in there will be a gap between your thoughts. Now try and extend that gap where there is no thought.

With the awareness of communication, you can go throughout the day observing how you communicate throughout the day and how communication comes to you.
