Good day guys!
Let me share you this quick walk around Saint Louis University's Main Campus. I actually work at the hospital and it's the Campus. The admin of the hospital is letting us park here at the University Grounds. Before walking to the hospital, I stop and take some photos. It's actually starting to be a routine for me whenever I go there early because sometimes I rush to time in at 8.
During the afternoon, one of our colleagues was called to the HR to process some of his papers for permanency. He asked me to accompany him so I went.
Here are the stairs that we have to climb everyday, just to go to the parking area. Ever since the pandemic, they closed the shortcut going inside the hospital. For some reason they call it abortion steps. Maybe it's because of the height of the stairs and how uneven it is.
This is one of the views if you pass the stairs. Little by little our City is losing it's trees, you can see from all the houses from this photo. I really wish that the government would become strict about tree cutting.
The stairs are really high in this place, it's actually an exercise to climb them. If I'm rushing to time in, I'm already panting when I reach the top until I reach the triage.
This is where some of the nurses are staying. They offered this dorm for them to stay in. It has a basketball ring and I see some of the nurses play basketball.
This is the most difficult place to park in the university because most of the parking spaces are reserved for the doctors of each department of the Hospital.
This is where I usually park, so it's really a long way to go to the hospital.
This building is called Adenauer. This is where most of the medical and science subjects are being taught. I remember that I used to study Chemistry there.
This is their fountain that says. Fe, Creativida, Servicio, and Competencia. I'm
In front of you is a Cafe, I think they opened that last year. Just imagine all their loses because of the pandemic. It stopped operating ever since school stopped.
This is the building called Burgos is where the HR is located. Before entering there a sanitation mat and a foot operated Sanitizer.
I was just waiting for my colleague while they were talking to him.
I'm surprised that there are even Job Vacancies. They are looking for Respiratory Therapists, Part time Faculty for nursing and a Registrar for Laboratory High school.
After the HR, we were walking back already. This is the stairs where the graduates usually take their photos. I really don't know what's inside these boxes. The first thing that I thought of were rocket launchers.
I don't know why but I find this fountain amusing so I took more photos of it.
I just love how it has a lot of plants all over.
While my colleague was talking to the medical facility of the University. I was taking photos of this artwork. I think that symbolizes that SLU is the Light of the North.
They never took out their Christmas tree.
This is the hospital that we work in that has a motto of "We Truly Care"
They are actually building the new hospital. They plan to make it 2 towers to expand the hospital so there would be more rooms. I also remember that this got delayed during the Enhanced Quarantine lock down.
This were the photos that I took before I headed home. I hope that you enjoyed reading about my walk.
Thanks for reading and Stay safe always!
