As the Sea of Galilee was tossing and turning, Jesus demonstrates His power over the elements of nature and the circumstance of the disciples in the boat. See Matthew 14.
The disciples see a spirit coming towards them, and fear presides over them. Jesus says, "Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid."
Peter answered saying, "Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water." Jesus says, "Come!"
Peter steps out in faith and walks on water towards Him because his eyes are fixed on Jesus. Once his attention was drawn away from Jesus and set on the winds and waves around him, Peter began to sink. The outstretched arms of Jesus saved Peter.
Such is life in our world. We get in a bind and go through storms while uncertainty, worries and confusion set in. We set a plan of attack on our own thinking, but our plan was never what God intended for us. If we would just put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. He is a good Father and He will see us through. He wants us to rely totally on Him and grow in our faith! He is Master over our life and who would better to rely on than the one who created all things? Amen!
Everything in this world will disappear, but God will never. He will provide for you, butbtrust in him alone. As the bible said you cannot serve two masters at the same time. You will hate one master and love one another. Or you will be loyal to one and not care about the other. Just like in money, if we try to serve both God and money we will end up serving money. Trust the Lord with all our heart and don't depend on our own understanding. Jesus is the true Master of our lives.
