A common illusion of people who marry too young is to think that they are marrying the person they met a year ago. What these young people fail to recognize is that when one marries a girl of eighteen, he is marrying eigtheen years of history. He not only marries the girl who seems to understand him or beautiful but he also marries her values or the absence of them, her sense of responsibility or lack of it, her family's attitude and aall other influences that shaped or distorted her emotional life. In other words, there are underlying forces in her life that remain hidden especially to those who go through a superficial period of courthship labeled or mislabeled as the case may be under that catch-all word: LOVE.
