If you could read my previous post "The barter market, an alternative to socialize and also donate" I encourage you to share an entertaining moment with your friends, family, neighbors and why not? community where you make life, you just have to organize with your companions and make a fun thematic barter. Do you need that shirt or sweater from your cousin or cousin that I have stopped wearing but do not want to give it away? Then make him an offer without influencing the value of money. Of course, that offer must be fair, it can be for any of your available clothes or accessories that you no longer use and that that person actually needs. People always have needs, and the more participants you engage in a barter, the more products are in demand to meet everyone's needs. It places the condition that the products that are not exchanged can be donated to charitable foundations or people in need.

What is a thematic barter?

As you already know, a barter is the most primitive form of exchange, it is carried out without the use of currency. You only have to exchange your products with another person who will auction any of your needs, both parties reaching a mutual agreement. In a barter you can offer all those products, goods, services, knowledge, flavors and skills that you want. On the contrary, in a thematic barter only products, goods, services, knowledge, flavors and abilities will be offered to the end.

Example: Suppose we want to carry out a “taste swap”. And of course, the grandmother who is an expert in gastronomy wants to participate and you have brought them together with another group of participating grandmothers who also want to exchange their desserts and their cooking recipes. Socializing is essential in bartering, but giving your grandmother a good time in a barter that is priceless.

Another example: “Barter of services” Ana offers a hairdressing service and in exchange demands a babysitting or childcare service for a couple of hours. If in the trick there is a person in charge of child care with a request for a hairdressing service, they can agree and exchange the services.

This way you can carry out a book exchange with your acquaintances and friends, where ideas and points of view are exchanged on a reading in question.

Or a skills exchange where knowledge and learning of new tasks or activities are exchanged. From sewing, painting, music or dancing.

Attitudes that the participants in a barter must maintain:

• Tolerances and respect at all times, plurality and freedom of ideas and opinions must be ensured.

• Be committed to the development of the activity.

• Do not use money, or overvalue your products, goods, services, knowledge, flavors or abilities.

• The auctioned products are worthless, however the exchanges must be fair and honest. Don't try to trade an apple for a sack of potatoes.

• Respect the agreement already made, if you exchanged your products, do so responsibly and do not expect a greater offer for them.

• Avoid being an accumulator, you may not want to take home all the products offered that other participants may also need.

• Do not hoard your products or take home your goods, services, knowledge, flavors or skills. If you did not manage to make an exchange, you always have the option to donate and have a good time with your barter partners.

• Avoid looking upset or reluctant, and encourage yourself to participate.

“Beyond the existence of exchange and outside the use of money, barter is a healthy alternative for people to be able to negotiate, to be productive entities, and above all to socialize and share with other members. You can see that from something so primitive you will get a new experience. "
