Sometimes in life we know that we repent for something we did, but also for something we did not. In Serbia, there is a beautiful folk tale that illustrates this and is called "Dark Province". The story says that an emperor entered the dark province with his army. As they passed, they felt themselves treading on some rocks. In the darkness a voice was heard: "Whoever takes these stones will repent, and whoever does not take it will repent again" Then some think, why would they take if they will repent, and others, since I will certainly repent, let me take at least one . When they came out they saw that it was a precious stone, so those who did not take it began to regret why they did not take it, and those who took it, why they did not take it more.
Ponekad u zivotu znamo da se pokajemo zbog necega sto smo uradili, ali i zbog necega sto nismo. U Srbiji postoji lepa narodna prica koja to ilistruje i zove se " Tamni vilajet" U prici se kaze da je neki car sa svojom vojskom usao u tamni vilajet. Dok su prolazili, osetili su da gaze po nekom kamenju. Iz mraka se zacuo neki glas: " Ko ovo kamenje uzme kajace se, a ko ga ne uzme opet ce se kajati" Tada neki pomisle, zasto bi uzeli ako ce se kajati, a drugi, posto cu se svakako kajati, daj da uzmem makar jedan. Kad su izasli oni vide da je to bilo drago kamenje, pa oni koji nisu uzeli pocnu da se kaju zasto nisu uzeli, a oni sto su uzeli, zasto nisu uzeli vise
Znaci da je covek proklet, uvek mu je malo.
