Happy 1st of September everyone!
Here's our simple lunch, just made presentable. We had ginisang monggo, kalabasa, amargoso, kamote and malunggay. We also had chorizo. Thanks also to the donated fish (fried bangus) and papaya that we added yogurt for our dessert. It has been my uncle's habit to have such table setting every meal at home which he also share on his Facebook account, only for limited audience.
How would you like to have this dessert?
We had leftover ice cream last Saturday so my uncle prepared this ube macapuno sorbetes on fresh buko/young coconut as our dessert. Since it's hot today, I also bought 10 pesos dirty ice cream an hour before lunch. By the time we had our small gathering, I opted not to eat rice anymore. The 2nd picture is the view at the creek yesterday after office. It's looks relaxing to stay here every afternoon.
These pictures I'm sharing today were all taken yesterday morning while I'm aboard a roll-on/roll-off ship at sunrise. At around 6:06 AM, the sun was already shining bright and high in the sky, although partially covered by clouds. I was facing east and at the left side of the vessel when I captured the first and second pictures where the sea sparkled with the sun's reflection. As I faced south, being at the right side of the ship, a bluer sky and white cloud formations also produce a wonderful reflection on the waters.
I hope that you all have a productive day today guys.
I hope you're all doing well when you read this post.
It feels good to have witnessed another sunrise while in the middle of the sea. Today's a holiday, National Heroes Day, but we have to report for work (without pay). I slept around 10 AM last night and woke up at 1 AM so I can start driving my motorcycle by 2 AM to be able to catch the earliest roro trip from Dumangas Port, Iloilo, seeing to it that I'm already in Binalbagan before 8 AM. I should have boarded the Montenegro Lines but I opted for Tri-Star Ferry which was cheaper. However, the roro disembarked around 5:10 AM. The only consolation is the opportunity to capture these sceneries. The 2nd and 3rd pictures would make good mobile phone wallpapers.
A blessed Sunday to everyone.
Although we have WiFi at home, maybe I spent less time with my phone yesterday that I wasn't able to share new content and visit your posts. Atleast I have a day well spent with my family since I go home only once a month.
Since it's been raining for several weeks, rain lilies started to grow and bloom. Here's one with droplets on its pink petals. There's also this small butterfly enjoying today's sunshine. I hope all enjoy your day too.
At last it's Friday and it's my free day coz I'm on leave right now. Although Monday is a holiday, we have to go back to office so I chose to apply for special leave today. Currently, I'm on board a roro vessel bound for Dumangas Port in Iloilo. I travelled all the way from the Municipality of Binalbagan to Bacolod City. I had to take shelter when it rained along the way coz I'm riding my motorcycle. It's a gloomy day and everything looks dull. Unlike this picture which I took in August of last year, to my surprise, I still managed to capture this painting-like scenery even with cloudy skies during sunset. There's this sandbar in Enclaro, Binalbagan where I happened to snap silhouettes and reflections of people in action.
Just had coffee and somehow free right now so I'm sharing these pictures. I was quite busy with office work this morning.
It's been raining every morning, leaving droplets on surfaces especially on flowers and leaves. I love water droplet shots in their natural setting.
Do you also have a garden fish pond?
Having a pond in our yard can help us relax after a long day of work especially when we see and interact with colorful fishes. We have 3 ponds around our house back in Iloilo. These ponds create an ecosystem in our yard since we also have different plants around them. Birds also love to drink and take a bath in these ponds. Actually we don't have koi fish in our ponds right now. I took these pictures in a mountain resort in Kabankalan in August of lay year.
It's another wet day, a rainy Tuesday. There's a typhoon in Northern Philippines and it has also brought rains to the Visayas regions. The sun has been out for a while and I managed to take a few snaps.
Take care everyone.
Good morning my dear friends.
It's a rainy day which means less outdoor activities for today. I took these pictures outside the office a while ago when I took a break. It's a wet Monday and all I got are mostly droplets on plants as they enjoy the rain.
I hope that you all have a wonderful day at work, in school or wherever you are right now.
Do you also celebrate your pet's birthday?
A friend messaged me around 11 AM yesterday that I join them for lunch at a resort just a few kilometers from my place. I was sitting beneath those mangrove trees and enjoying the fresh air at that time. I asked him what is there to celebrate and he told me that it was a birthday party for his co-teachers 2-year old chihuahua. It was Mio and his siblings' birthday and reunion as well. Chini and Angelo have different pet owners. There were lots of foods served for the occasion and the all time favorite lechon. I also went to the beach past 6 PM and witnessed this display of colors (1st picture). Later at 7 PM, I went back to the resort for dinner.
Good morning everyone!
All things bright and beautiful today. A sunny weekend is what most of us are hoping for. We can finish more chores today with this kind of weather. Although it is usually raining here in the afternoon, to see the sun out there is something to be thankful for.
May we all have a productive day.😊
A wonderful Friday to all!
It's already a week ago when we had our team-building activity in a resort in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental and now it's Friday once again.
I went out taking pictures past 9 AM and still there are lots of droplets clinging on plants especially on grass. Hoping for a beautiful day ahead of us.
How's your week so far?
Here's another beach sunset which I took two days ago. I'm quite busy today so I just took pictures of flowers located beside our office which are barely noticed because of their color or blend with their leaves. There's also this insect which has lost one of its leg and a small spider with its huge eyes.
Good morning friends.
I did not just watch in awe of yesterday's beautiful sunset. Every second counts, so I made a lot of shots so I can share them with you today. The wave movement, the reflections, the boat's silhouette and the man who's moving back and forth as the sun touches the horizon on the background makes these pictures interesting.
I'm fortunate to catch another sunset at the beach this week. For two straight days, the weather has been favorable in time for the golden hour. I wanted to have a different setting for my shots today, so I drove my motorcycle around half a kilometer away from my apartment. I was just in time to be able to watch and capture this awesome scenery l8while the sun was still slightly above the horizon (1st and 2nd picture). Here's also a scenic view of the place to my left. The clouds were already starting to turn orange at that time.
Good morning everyone.
Now that we're back in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental after our team-building activity in Sipalay City, I had a glimpse of the sunset yesterday. Finally, it did not rain around that time. Taking pictures of silhouettes and reflections is something that I love to do at sunset.
How would you like swimming with fishes?
The best part of our team building activity was when we went island hopping. First, we entered a cave on a smaller entrance which led us to a bigger opening on the other side where our fellow employees enjoyed the cool waters. There's also an islet a few meters away. It's such a nice place to swim because it's shady, with its dome providing the perfect protection from sunlight. Our next and last stop was the fish sanctuary. There's a motorized boat which is tasked by the city government to patrol the area and collects 50 pesos environmental fee for every visitor. A large group of fish of different sizes were looking friendly as we were able to feed and swim with them.
Location: Campomanes Bay, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines
Together with one of my coworkers, we had an early morning walk today going to the port area at Campomanes Bay in Sipalay, Negros Occidental. It was around 2.5 km away from the beach resort that we are staying. The last time that I visited this place was more than 10 years ago. Those islands at the horizon are worth exploring but we had to go back to have our breakfast first.
Are you also out for an adventure today?
We're currently here at Lopez Beach, Campomanes Bay, Sipalay, Negros Occidental for our team building activity. Good thing they have good WiFi internet coz there's no mobile network signal. Atleast I can still have time to visit and interact with your posts.
Have a good day everyone.
I love today's sunny weather and it's high tide once again as shown in the pictures. The creek appears to be calm which makes it ideal for motorized boats to seek cover from big waves at the coastal area. There's also this pink rose just a few steps from the creek. A little past 12 noon we went to another barangay to buy some oysters for the picnic. While we're on our way back, we saw a monitor lizard in the middle of the road. I told my friend to stop the tricycle so I can take a picture. Eventually, it moved away when a motorcycle passed by.
Spotted so many interesting lifeforms along the road last Sunday. They were hanging on a grass, sitting on a rock, on a lady finger or sucking nectar from flowers. I can't help but capture each and every little insect that I can see around. Doing so took me a little longer to be back at our boardmate's house.😁
Location: Brgy. Santol, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental
Good evening everyone.
The following pictures were taken when went to the waterfall in Brgy. Santol, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental yesterday. I could have brought my motorcycle going to the said place but I chose to walk with the group. I get to appreciate the beauty of nature and enjoy taking photographs of various lifeforms that I encounter along the way. Will be sharing the other photos on my next post.
I had lunch at a birthday party in Brgy. Santol, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental. At first, I was hesitant to go there because it was raining until 11 AM. It was also a nature adventure and we were all sweating until we reached the waterfall. I think we walked a total of 5 kilometers back and forth. It's so refreshing to be back there again. My boardmates, were game to pose for the camera as they enjoy the moment.
Good evening noisemates and happy weekend.
Unfortunately, I'm stuck here at the Municipal Plaza of Binalbagan, Negros Occidental because of the heavy rain. I drove my motorcycle to town and just wanted to withdraw money from the ATM so I can buy some supplements at Mercury Drug Store. There was light rain when I went out of the store and waited for the rain to stop. A few seconds after leaving the store it started to rain again so I took shelter in one of the sheds here. I just enjoyed taking pictures of the rain with the play of lights from the lamp posts surrounding place.
No sunset to watch today. It's been raining all afternoon. All I can do is go straight home after work and browse through my gallery for pictures on my other phone. I found these sunset pictures from the usual place I frequently visit for my shots and were taken exactly one year ago. It's just amazing that I never get tired of going to same place over and over again just to witness and capture the undeniable beauty of the sunset.
I went to the beach earlier coz I really wanted to share some fresh clicks from the shore. Unfortunately, there was no sunset to capture. All I have here is a another picture taken 2 days ago. Although it's gloomy, I still managed to take photographs of a bunch of jasmine flowers, a small but vibrant bitter gourd showing its red seeds and this grasshopper.
Good evening friends.
I'm missing the sunset and since it did not rain this afternoon, I drove my motorcycle and parked near the beach right after work. Actually, that was almost 6 PM when I went there and started taking pictures. It feels great to be back there again after almost two weeks and just take some random shots.
Do you feel like working or keeping yourself busy this Monday?
It has been a routine to check on our plants outside the office at the start of our workweek. Actually I was here yesterday to install the garden net but did not finish to do so since it rained. So far the plants are thriving. For sure they love the rainy season. Having this green surroundings gives us a refreshing feeling to start our Monday.
How's everyone this Sunday?
I just stayed the whole morning at my apartment. Such a lazy day since it was raining the whole night until early morning. For the second straight day, I ordered grilled green mussels (5 sticks) worth 20 pesos, another stick of barbecue at 15 pesos, 12 pieces of homemade fishball at 10 pesos and a bottle of mountain dew at 20 pesos. That would be all for lunch.😁 While waiting for my order which is just a few steps away from the creek, I got these pictures, just anything that I could find interesting.
