Who will be the SUBJECTS of Jesus Christ and the Saints during the Millennium?

According to some pretribbers the remnant of the tribulation saints (believers during the tribulation) will enter the Millennium in their natural state (not resurrected) and will be the subjects of Jesus Christ and the church age believers for a thousand year. They further argue that the said remnant will be the ones who will repopulate the earth during that time.

Is that really what the Bible says?

Our God is a God of justice. Please consider the severity of the persecution that the tribulation saints would go through during the trib. They will not love their life. Instead, they will be willing to shed their blood for the cause of the Lord during that time (Revelation 12:11). Do you think it would be fair and just for them to end up not resurrected and to be the subjects of the Lord and the church age believers despite their agonizing sacrifice for Him? It is not just!

And so, since we are serving a God of justice, this is what He promised for the tribulation saints:

Revelation 20:4

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

According to the verse above, what will happen to those who have not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands (Tribulation Saints)?

==> They lived (resurrection) and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Yes you heard it right, they will not become slaves- they will be resurrected and they will reign together with Christ. Infact, their resurrection is dubbed as the First Resurrection. And if it is the first resurrection, then there must be no other resurrection that should precede it, otherwise, it won't be the FIRST one.

Revelation 20:5

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the FIRST resurrection.

So, if the tribulation saints will reign with Christ too during the Millennium, who will then our subjects be that time?

Here is the truth:

During the Armageddon battle, Jerusalem will be taken first and half of the city will become captives before the Lord Jesus Christ would come:

Zechariah 14:2-3

For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

And there will be a remnant among them (Israelites)- "RESIDUE OF THE PEOPLE"

These remnant are unbelievers and they will get saved but will remain in their natural bodies because at this point in time the rapture had occured already, hence, the first resurrection is already past too. And so they will ultimately enter the Millennium and be one of our subjects.

Zechariah 12:9-11

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy ALL the NATIONS that COME AGAINST JERUSALEM.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of GRACE and of supplications: and THEY (*REMNANT) shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

*all CAPS are mine for emphasis only.

How did I know that they (remnant) are unbelievers?

Well, Jesus addressed them as the ones who PIERCED Him plus add to the fact that they weren't crying as an expression of joy BUT of MOURNING- out of BITTERNES. You do not mourn when you see your SAVIOUR rescuing you, are you? Believers will jump for joy when they will see their rescuer in the clouds. But notice those remnant, they mourn, they are in bitterness when they saw Christ.

They are the ones referred to in this verse:

Revelation 1:7

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and THEY ALSO WHICH PIERCED HIM: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

They mourn because they now realized that the one they crucified a long time ago is really the real Messiah- the real Christ. So it is a mourning out of REPENTANCE. Hence, they are unbelievers who will receive God's grace after the tribulation.

The said remnant are undoubtedly Israelites. But Zechariah also showed us another group of remnant whom I believe will experience the same grace that the Israelites will receive on that day.

Zechariah 14:16

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is LEFT of ALL the NATIONS which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

The Bible is very clear, these group of people who shall even go up from year to year to worship the King during the Millennium, are those who are LEFT of ALL the NATIONS which came against Jerusalem.

Are they believers?

==> They are none believers too who will witness the coming of the Lord AFTER the tribulation.

==> They are the remnant of the ones referred to in this verse:

Revelation 1:7

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and ALL KINDREDS of the EARTH shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

==> Just like those who pierced Christ, they will come to repentance acknowledging the SAVIOUR who comes in glory. And so they will end up serving Christ in unresurrected state during the Millennium.

==> Another proof that those remnant were unbelievers is the fact that Zechariah referred to them as HEATHEN.

Zechariah 14:18

And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the HEATHEN that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Therefore, the millennium will be repopulated by both Israelites and gentiles who are still in their corruptible bodies. And the Tribulation saints will be one of their rulers together with Jesus Christ the Lord.
