MoneyGram Allows US Users to Buy, Sell and Hold Crypto on its Mobile App
MoneyGram, an American cross-border P2P payment and money transfer company, enables customers to buy, sell, and hold cryptocurrency on its mobile app. Now it is available for US users. They support Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC). They will support more cryptocurrencies in the future.
People are excited to buy, sell and hold cryptocurrency. And it is growing rapidly. Paying attention to its users' interests, MoneyGram introduced crypto services so that people can make transactions and hold cryptocurrency via their mobile app.
It's not a long term ago when you heard big boys saying *Bitcoin is nothing but a bubble and it is going to burst soon*. People like those big guys due to their success in the traditional financial system. When they talk about negative things about cryptocurrency, that spreads negative vibes.
It is surprising how quickly things change. Now if they say cryptocurrency is a bubble, people cannot help laughing hard. lol... Financial institutions will not survive if they don't adopt cryptocurrency. They will see their customers disappear and it's hard for them to accept that.
Still, you see some central banks define cryptocurrency in such a negative way that feels like crypto is criminals' money. They will wake up at some point, they have to wake up.
Now the bank that prevents people from getting into cryptocurrency will offer people crypto services in the future. Do you think MoneyGram will stay relevant if they don't offer crypto services?
Things are changing and there is no turning back whether someone likes it or not. MoneyGram made a partnership with Coinme which is a licensed crypto exchange and API-driven crypto as a service provider. Then they offer users to buy, sell and hold crypto on its mobile app. They will expand their crypto services in the future.
It increases the adoption of cryptocurrency. More people will get used to using crypto in their daily life. When people know more about crypto, they choose the wallet that is best for them and hold the private key.
I think this is just the beginning. We are in a bear market. In spite of that, the way everything is moving forward, we will see more exciting things in the near future. So what do you think?
