Be Honest With Yourself To Improve Your Finances
We can easily point fingers at others. What we are not good at is pointing fingers at ourselves. You know your financial situation and what you are going through on a daily basis. You want to improve your personal finances, right? What you say, how much of that have a reflection on your action.
You don't have a job, so your first target is to get a job. How hard you are trying to get a job, ask that question to yourself. Finally, you get a job. You are happy now. But this happiness fades away and it will not take a long time to realize that you cannot make a significant improvement in your finances.
You need to make more money. You don't have any emergency funds. Even though you know how important it is to have an emergency fund, you think you do not have enough money to form a fund. Is that so? You can at least start small. Keep saving $50 or $80 dollars per month. It will help to form an emergency fund.
You work hard, but you do not get increments as per your expectation. Since you are busy doing your job, you think you don't have any time to do something else. If you put a period on something, that's over. Here you put limitations on yourself.
You may give different excuses. You can complain about anything. It's their fault and because of that, you cannot do better to improve your financial situation. You can convince other people about your situation which shows you have nothing to do. But are you able to convince yourself?
Be honest with yourself. You cannot tell a lie to the person you see when you look in the mirror. That person knows every single thing about yourself. So figure out what you can do being in that situation. Maybe you can do another job part-time to make some extra cash. Or, you can start a side hustle when you get back from the office.
Yes, you are tired when you come home after working all day long at the office. But you have to push yourself in order to get what you want. Your effort, sacrifice, and patience will pay off at some point. When you are doing great in your side hustle, you may think of doing that full-time and quit your job.
You have to be honest with yourself, you do not have any alternative. When you see what you are capable of doing in that situation and take action, you can improve your personal finances.
So what do you think? Please feel free to leave your comments. Thank you for reading this post. That's it for now. I'll be back with another post.
Yes honesty is a good practice when it comes to dealing with finances.
