We are now living in a world of technology wherein communications is so fast and effective, reliable and dependable. With the introduction of social media, in which people all over the world could communicate face to face, immediately know each other well, on line relationship became the trend of today's generation.
At first it was just a friendship, exchanging of hellos and hi, and then it became deeper,turning into a relationship of more than friends. Friends in love that end up into the altar.
Many became prey of this social media, for it helps for those who are seeking of eligible bachelors or valuable women to be their partners in life which they believe they could not found in the place they were in. For those individuals who lost hope of finding the right one in their life, or those who wants to uplift their status in life and to be financially secured, social media is their last recourse.
There are pros and cons in engaging in on-line relationships.
The Pros:
Distance will not be a hindrance that a relationship will work and progress even you are far from each other due to your work. It will makes the hearts fonder and became considerate with each other. Knowing each others behavior, characteristics and the whole personality of a person will be possible since communication is within a minute and anytime of the day. Introduction to the other families will be swift and there will be no difficulty in adjusting to them since you have known each other day by day.
The Cons:
There are certain individuals when in relation do not show his true self. They wear a camouflage to hide their real identity, of the kind of man he is. They tend to be good, loving, and considerate on your moods to the point of spoiling you. Trapping you with their net of love. But in truth they were the worst that a man could ever imagine. They are the abusive being who used their prey for their self interest, a relation with a monkey business behind, as what we heard on the news. Engaged their partners into white slavery, what an inhuman act. When that curtain that conceals his true identity will fall down, you cannot already escape on the hole that you fall. A hole of abuses, aches, pains and misfortunes.
There's no harm in engaging in on-line relationship, for there are others who make it to the altar and live successfully but unfortunately there are others who didn't make it. It is just a matter of luck and most of all prayers. People nowadays are difficult to comprehend, there are many temptations and vices that trapping humans that make them misbehave, and losing their conscience.

As you have said, there is no harm in engaging in an online relationship. However normal courtship is much better than ldr. You'd be able to know the true color of a person if you can personally talk to them.
