Disobedience is an act of not following any orders, laws or norms of the land. Such violation is a sin and has a corresponding penalty or punishment depending on the degree of the acts of sin committed. Punishment is implemented in order for people to obey for disobeying is really a sin.

Is disobedience really a sin? That is question have to be ponder, to think deeply to derive an exact answer in which no debate is needed between panels.

Going back to the time of our first parents Adam and Eve. God prohibits them to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge. They have all the freedom to roam around Eden, to enjoy and use what God has created and to live peacefully without burdens for everything was laid down in front of them without cost and hassles. But since human whose satisfaction and curiosity was not contained, then tempted and disobey God's law, eat the forbidden fruit in paradise, the cause of being thrown out of Eden.

That fruit is the key of the magic box that open their hidden knowledge and wisdom, and make them aware of their present condition of being naked and lead them to be creative, to be resourceful of what to cover up and protect their selves. There was no more innocence of their being since they begin to be aware of their biological needs, as what the normal, natural human do, a perfect creation of God, with mind, body and soul. Thus, the creation of mankind begin. If they have not violated of what had been prohibited by God, where are we now. Does all human kind around the globe exist?

Disobedience is the root cause why the world is full with all kinds of human. The fruit that give knowledge is the reason why the world is full of man made creations, the creation of God which was then ordinary and primitive like in Eden was then modernized and enhance to human advantage. People then have to use his physical strength to survive thus, makes him innovative, to make the useless to be useful. Man's inherent talent and ability developed everyday that we are now living in a high technology, in which we could not live without gadgets and connections.

If our first parents did not eat the fruit of knowledge, did not disobey God's prohibition, then the world would still be lonely, will not improve, Adam and Eve still using the crude way of life. Of course they won't complain because their knowledge was not open, they do not know what is to live in comfort, for they are like children so innocent and contented of what had been given to them.

We have read in the bible that God said" Go into the world and multiply." Literary define, how could we multiplied if Eve did not eat the fruit and entice Adam to eat. It is the beginning of realization of being a man and woman capable of multiplying human kind.

So, is disobedience is really a sin? Is there not any reconsideration of their action of being disobedient? For what they have done it creates a good outcome, wherein God no longer lonely seeing upon us from heaven.

I hope, what I have written catches your attention and something to be comment about.

Yes, it depends on any situation and circumstances. We are given the knowledge of reason, to know what is good and bad. If act of disobeying will not lead you astray then for me it is not a sin, it is an act of saving one self from sin. Thanks for your sensible comment.

Well, in real-life situations, it is a case to case basis. There are some rules of the government or anywhere that are irrational. Some might actually take advantage of those who follow the rules so they can make money out of it.

Just like in Hunger Games. I apologize if I relate this into fiction but the government is manipulating the lives of the people. So, a revolution has to be implemented and that was headed by Katniss Everdeen. ☺

Even though it is a fictional movie but there's a lesson and it is related to present situation today. Disobeying the laws that are detrimental to mankind is not a sin, like the hunger games. For killing is a grave sin, and disobeying the command to kill is saving human race. Thus, the the act of disobedience is a grace not a disgrace.

Exactly. I couldn't agree more with this. Disobedience is right when rules impact the humankind.

To me, what is sin? Sin is deliberate violation of the will of God. Okay?

Now what is disobedient? To me again, : not doing what someone or something with authority tells you to do, refusing or failing to obey rules, laws.

Now is disobedient sin? Yes. To become disobedient is to sin or rebel against God (I Samuel 15:22,23). See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse -- the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known" Ok?

Let's see Adam Genesis 3

  1. Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
  2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
  3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
  4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
  5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

This is a better example that man can decide to follow or unfollow God's plan. God already told them that if they eat the tree of knowledge of good and evil in dying they shall die.... Man chose to die.. death followed their actions. They died spiritually.

The Bible said they should multiply right? Yes, the Bible is not talking about giving birth contextually, the Bible is talking about the propagation of the gospel( the good news about Jesus) so it's not about giving birth to us all okay?

When you unfollow a laid down rule, you have definitely sin and it will bring spiritual death.

Are we still living with rule? NO Once you are a believer, you have been saved from all sin, you have been forgiven, you now walk in the conciousness of who we are. Christ end law.

Disobedient is a bad character, a sin which we can't see in Christ.

Thanks... I hope we are on thesame page???

I am just giving a justification out of my own opinion the actions of Adam and Eve of disobeying the laws of God. Whether there was any reconsideration.

Like a case, a losing a party is given a time to file for a motion for reconsiderstion, laying down all the reason, to reconsider the evidence presented that will might hold the decision for finality and call for another hearing for clarification if doubt exist.

That is giving a fair trial on the sin committed.

Well, thank you for your long and elaborate explanation about the sin of disobedience. I am glad of your time given to my article. It means it really catches your attention. Here I could say you are a Christian following the words of God.

Less I forget, assuming Adam haven't disobeyed God, the plans God has for us is to be made by molding without death.... Immortality life. The disobedient of Adam brought about death for us all .... But the new Adam came which is Christ and brought grace to us all ...

Do you understand now??? Any question????

So there was a reconsideration of what Adam and Eve have done. The great sin they have committed have been save by Christ. For Christ came into this world to save us from our sins and not to condemn us.

Disobedience is a big sin and a big bad thing infront of God's eye and presence. God said we should obey all the elder ones including our parents and even our older siblings. Disobedience is a sin and a character that isn't good. We should deviate from such.

Your right disobeying our parents and elders is a sin. But today the young generation as I obesreved are no longer obedient it is because of bad influence of peer groups and social media. They became rebelious as if parents are hindrance to their happiness, of having a total freedom which they believe must be given to them, not knowing that they are really wrong, for they are not responsible enough and needs guidance. But the youngster are so agressive and compulsive which lead them to be disobedient.

disobedience for me is not really a sin. what i meant is, we disobey a lot. some are worst and some are just little disobedience. maybe it becomes a sin when u did something immoral with your disobedience.

I respect your opinion as to when disobedience became a sin, base on its degree and effects in committing such act.

That is also what I want to emphasize here the effects whether good or bad. If the outcome is good as what I presumed, was there any reconsideration on the sin committed? But only God knows, and I hold on the belief that Christ came into this world to save us from sins not to condemn.

Thanks for your rational comment.
