Marriage is a legal contract entered by two consenting individuals solemnized by a priest or any person who has a license to conduct a marriage ceremony.
Holy Matrimony
As christian we believe the sanctity of marriage. Entering into a relationship without being solemnize by a priest is against the christian doctrine. We believe, to obtain blessings from above, to have a successful and fruitful married life is to respect the holy matrimony. That God must always be the center in a relationship, believing that a family blessed by God the offspring are into the right path following the footsteps of parents, a model parents the kids will look up into being a good christian.
Civil Marriage
Other couple who are in different religious sector, who has different beliefs opt for civil marriage. They enter into a ceremony conducted by a judge or a person who has the capacity or license to solemnized to make their union legal. This is an assurance of the man and the woman that the bond they have signed is forever and strong, that no one shall ever share and each partner shall not be taken by the others illegally.
The difference of the two marriages is the way how it was solemnized. Usually the holy matrimony is done in the church or in a place where it is solemn, with all the decoration. A well detailed embellishment participated by two families. An entourage of main sponsors down to the secondary sponsors and even participated by their cute toddlers marching in the aisle. A long ceremony that ends in the reception area with merriment and fun-making.
While civil marriage are just simple and quick as long the couple had submit all the required documents to proved their capacity to enter such ceremony. It could be held anywhere, anytime as long the solemnizing officer is authorized by the law making body. All it needs are the witnesses signatures to prove its validity and legality. A simple engagement with the same effect and binding.
The Importance of Marriage
Two marriages are legal and binding. It is a bond to be respected, the laws and provisions that protects the marriage bond must be abide by the two individuals. Anyone who violate such sanctity will face its consequences. The offspring became legitimate children, they could inherit what is to be inherited from their parents and could succeed any positions if there is any. Legitimate children develops self confidence, self esteem in their being, they don't have inferiority complex since they have a close net family, of having legit parents.
Children outside marriage are considered illegitimate and develops inferiority complex. They are usually victims of bullies from school thereby creating them into a timid person. They feel neglected for they lack a father or a mother who will be there when parents are needed in any school activity and the beginning of a declined self esteem and self confidence. It will develop them to be introverts, avoiding the companies of other children, who always want to be isolated and buried deep into their thoughts. The reason of many juvenile delinquencies and shooting attacks of children in schools with no apparent reason of their violent actions. They perceive life as being complicated and chaotic thereby making them emotionally and mentally unstable resulting to violence as an act of release of the hate and hurt they feel and escape from reality.
The laws and provision that surrounds marriage must be abide for anyone commits adultery will be dealt with accordingly since legal marriages are protected by the law. The laws were created to protect the family especially the children. Children are protected from any violence and abuses from outside the family and inside the household. Legitimate children have the feeling of security and stability for the present and the future.
