Before the road widening here in our place, we used to have a mini sari-sari store as one of our source of income aside from selling my papa's Tuba or coconut wine and working as a carpenter. I was still on my college years at that time and it was a really big help to have that store for my weekly allowances and other miscellaneous fees. But after the announcement of the said road widening and repair, my parents decided to close it down and focus on finding other means of income to continue supporting my financial needs for my studies.
When I graduated college, going to Manila was one of my options for me to possibly find a job so that I can pay back to my parents. But because I was still blinded at that time (I bet some of you knew what I mean), I didn't go for it. And I REGRETTED it now! Even my mama said so. Because of that, I decided to take the Licensure Examination for Teacher and luckily passed it. After which, I tried applying in different Institutions, including the private ones but ended up rejected. "Fate was cruel to me."
Before meeting the platform (referring to read.cash platform), I was very disappointed and depressed, feeling the guilt and regret, and about the rejections I went through especially last year in which it happens consecutively. But instead of giving up, I chose to let go the pain and move on.
Finding a job right now is very difficult!
I continued to write and publish but due to some issues and concerns, I am not that consistent anymore. I looked for other online opportunities which can give me few amounts to support my financial needs. As much as possible, I don't want to burden my parents anymore about it even though I am still living with them because I am old enough to find my own means of income. Thankfully, I am being supported by my boyfriend @Rhed.
During the Christmas season, I came across one of the featured blogs written by sir Bob or @Coolmidwestguy. (My apologies for the mention sir.) Instead of leaving comment pertaining to the question being asked, I then shared with him about my plan of putting up again the sari-sari store. So, as much as possible, I want to save up every cent I may accumulate whatever means it is for as long as its from a good and clean source. (I don't know if you still remember that sir Bob.)
On the other hand, I am very proud to say that I am now partnered with a business-minded guy. Yes! My love Rhed is very up for a business. One of reasons could be because he grown up with a business-minded parents too. Well, its not a surprise to me because I also witness of how they started. As what I have remembered, they also have a sari-sari store before and they also buy Tuba from the Tuba gatherers. They even became Tuba gatherers themselves. ("Love, sorry na-reveal tuloy.(β β§β β½β β¦)")
Previous months of our Long Distance Relationship, whenever possible he will surely include putting up a business in our conversations. And it became so evident just this few days ago. I also shared some ideas I've got from my mama.
So here's what we've got in mind;
- Putting up a sari-sari store where we can sell different goods especially the basic commodities.
- Apart from selling goods, we also talk about putting up a barbeque stall. (We used to sell barbeque before too.)
- Stock buying. My mama really wanted to start up this kind of business. The stocks that she want to buy is liquor (Tuba) and other beverages.
- Piggery. (Rhed started this already.)
- Eatery at town.

What we need now?
"Location and Capital"
My mama been telling me about renting a space at town if we will pursue the plan of putting up the Eatery because aside from avoiding the debtors, there are also lots of people in their. But it needs a huge capital. From the utensils, the beautification of the space, down to the electric and water bills, and the space itself.
As for the mini sari-sari store, I suggested that we put it in a location where there are lots of potential costumers. But the problem is, the debtors. Common scenario that happens here, the expected buyers will just pay in the future.

Final Thoughts:
For now, apart from the piggery, other business plans are still not realize due to financial instability but hopefully we will manage to make it happen, little by little. More than that, I am hoping that I can contribute for this also, especially in money matters.
What can you say about it? I will be up for any suggestions.
That's all for this blog. Your presence is much appreciated. Thank you and have a great Monday everyone!π€
