Late-night desserts at popular 'food street'.
I'm new to this locality, exploring the places and food every other day to familiarize myself with this area. And no need to mention that I'm loving it.
As the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims is going on, many food stalls and restaurants keep open till late at night to serve the 'late night meal' for fasting purposes. Last weekend, we went to explore some deserts. Actually, it was my son's birthday and we were looking for a cake to choose from.
Let me show you our experience with some photos.
First, we went to some local bakeries. We were looking for a simple cake to celebrate my son's birthday at a private event. All the local cake shops sell similar kinds of cake/designs. The only difference is their quality and taste.
This shop named 'cake stories' seems pretty interesting to me. They were giving me home-cook vibes so we needed to try their cake.
We ordered a chocolate vanilla frosting cake with a lemon eclair. To be honest, the cake was a bit dry and the taste was flat; I couldn't enjoy it. But the eclair was good.
They said that their white chocolates are good, and we need to try one another day.
There are some popular bakery that never disappoints us in terms of taste, probably I would buy the cake from them if don't find anything preferable.
While moving on, we surprisingly found this traditional sweet shop. It's popular for its freshly made sweets. They have a lot of sweets on their shelf to choose from and we didn't resist taking away some.
They have an open kitchen where the worker were still making some sweets. The place seemed pretty hygienic compared to this type of local shop which really surprised me.
To get their 'hot sweets' you need to visit the shop from 1-3 pm, I would definitely give it a visit next time.
So that was my night. Because of Ramadan, the streets were not empty as usual, there were many who were looking for a place to eat their 'Suhoor'/late-night meal and it was kind of a good vibe out there. I really enjoyed the visit.
Have a good day, everyone.
I've been craving for some cake too 😋. I am happy to see this post.
