A day out in this exhausting summer!
I'm not sure how should I explain my experience with this place. I quite like the sight but didn't enjoy it much. I wouldn't blame the place though. It's mostly because of our timing and weather.
Chiklee Water Garden, located in Rangpur; that's the place I'm talking about. Here's theΒ Location Link. It's in the middle of the city but the sight is huge and we'll decorate it. What I love most are the offered water activities. We can access the paddle boats as well as the speedboats. Also, they offer fishing for paying small fees.
But the weather ruined our experience. It was so humid there, the day was not also much windy. We felt suffocated even in the open space. We went there around 4.30 PM but found the place is quite crowded or I would say occupied maybe. Because we find no seat to sit and relax, we're on our feet for hours.
Before I complain more, let's look at the beauty of the park.
The fountain is the major attraction of the place. It's well-maintained and lucrative. But this corner is run by a restaurant so if you want to enjoy the sight a little bit it's not free! We had to move on from there immediately because there was no way we would have food there/outside in that hot weather.
Moving on, we find the restaurant offers different sitting arrangements too. I think it would be great after the evening.
I love the path, one side is covered with different flowers and the lake was on another side. It would be amazing if the weather would be windy. But as it was not so we had to move on to find a place to sit.
But guess what? The outdoor restaurant we found at the end of the park doesn't offer fans to the customers. Our kids were hungry already and we must order something. We had a plate of Fuska and chicken chaap with paratha. I have to say, the food was good. We shared a hut(sitting place) with other customers, it was not pleasant though. But at least we had our food.
The truth is I got to know that people love this place, talk about how beautiful the weather is there. It was our bad luck that we can't agree with it. On top of it, I hate it when we had to wait for 10 to 15 minutes for a seat or get a place to photograph.
Would I visit the place again? Not very soon for sure. Probably in winter again. Let's see.
I will share some of our adventures there in my next post.
Have a good day, everyone.
Wow. Some beautiful picture. Especially the picture of Aparajita flower. I love it most. I have a plan to go to north Bengal in winter this year. If it happens then i will surely go to Rangpur. By the way i am also from Bangladesh. Nice to see you my native friend.
