A day after the inauguration of Vice President Kamala Harris, and President Joe Biden, the photo of former Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders circulates the internet has been edited from different timelines of our history to artworks, movie scenes, and more. The photo was taken by photojournalist Brendan Smialowski how he captured Bernie, as he sits on a folding chair with social distancing, his legs crossed and arms wrapped with mittens and a brown coat.
The photo became viral with funny captions, as Bernie explains that he tries to keep warm, pay attention around the inauguration and he saw the images as he explains it from the Late Night with Seth Meyers. What's special about the mittens they were made by Jen Ellis, made out of reused wool sweaters and lined with fleece made from recycled plastic.
Bernie Sanders is the longest-serving independent politician but has close connections with the Democratic Party. Served as a junior United States senator from Vermont since 2007 and as U.S. Representative for the state's at-large congressional district from 1991 to 2007. He ran for the presidency last 2016 & 2020, but he conceded the nomination to Joe Biden.
Here are some of the Bernie memes I saw on the internet.
