After the military detains State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, and her colleagues from the National League for Democracy (NLD) of which they'll be on their 2nd term ruling the country, but everything changed when the Tatmadaw took control of everything since they claim that the election results of November 8, 2020, was a fraudulent election, they cannot accept the results and doesn't want to concede.
Suu Kyi was been filed charges by the current government as she encourages her people to not accept the military's takeover and protest against the military junta. History is repeating itself for the Burmese people as the country is now going back under dictatorship by Senior Gen. Min Aung Hlaing.
Days later, as ordinary people, workers who don't even care about what will happen to their jobs once they participate in the protests, medical frontliners, students instead of attending their classes, and monks with their multi-colored flags and red banners in supporting Suu Kyi's party the NLD marched on the streets of Yangon, Naypyidaw, and Dawei. As tens of thousands of people demanding the release of their beloved leader, to not accept the control of the military junta, and by raising the 3-finger salute symbolizing they're the resistance against the current government of Myanmar (lead image).
The gatherings have been peaceful, but the armed forces fought back with water cannons and rubber bullets, but sources say that officers open fire with real bullets at the protesters injuring a man shot in the chest while the other was a woman which the bullet pierced on her motorcycle helmet.
State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and other figures of the National League for Democracy was detained by military officers of the Union Solidarity and Development Party last Monday morning (February 1) as the party won via landslide victory during the general elections of November 8, 2020. As international leaders demand the release of Myanmar's beloved leader, or they'll face international sanctions.
