Before anything else, I offer a minute of silence of all the men & women who served and answered the call to protect and preserve our way of life during World War II.
"December 7, 1941. A date which will live in infamy. The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan."
This was the exact opening statement of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt when he addressed the nation the following day about the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. It's been 79 years after Japan's attack on Hawaii following the full-scale invasion of the Empire (from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, half of Imperial China, Philippines, Guam, Wake, and Midway Island). The United States declared a State of War against Japan to liberate all territories in South-East Asia until the Empire declared its formal surrender when the US dropped an Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki which millions of lives perished.
December 7, 2020, marks the 79th year of remembrance. Remembering the fallen servicemen, veterans who are still alive today and relived their experiences throughout on that day. Ceremonies were held on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, and the World War II Memorial at Washington, D.C, U.S.A.
