Classmates talk about Rizal's section in the canteen. Students in St. Antipolo will have a Youth Camp in Antipolo Camilius High School. Everyone is excited except Ryan. He needs to participate because he's the only one left in their group. Even if he didn't, there was no hard reason for him not to come. His parents are not here. His mom is in Australia and works in a hospital as a Nurse, his dad is a seaman. His grandmother lived with him, a retired teacher. He has a babysitter who cares for him needs. His parents send him so much money. His room was full of supplies he was sent to. He felt like they were vying to buy his things. "If only they knew," this is what he often says to himself, as classmates greet the new shoes, watches, t-shirts, bags he brings with him.
"You're jealous, I wish my parents were abroad too." This is what he hears from classmates and friends. He doesn't like to tell the story of his life. He has many friends, a wealthy parent with them, a broken family, a classmate whose mother is a single parent and who has an orphan and is living with a relative. "It's okay for me to be an orphan," he says when he is alone in his room. His grandmother is a retired teacher, and he has a sense of accomplishment at home. "Oh there's a way there," taught a classmate spoiled by parents and grandparents for 'Unico Hijo' in the family. "Cutting classes" then let's go home on time. Initially absent, he joined the movie, followed by going to the computer center, mall and billiard hall. It was his last year in High school and his grandma gave him one last chance. "If you have not passed, I will send you to your grandmothers in the province. They will take care of you," grandmother said. So now, he needs to get better at school and joining youth camp is an activity he has to join if he is not particularly able to pass. The first night in Antipolo, he disliked the food, the group was throwing themselves at the table washing and doing chores, tasks he couldn't do at home. "There is no rich here, everyone will be given the duty of your three days here." This is the coordinator's preface. The second day the activity was quite serious. Here he understood the Parable of the Talent explained chaplain. "What have I done in my life? I've been searching for my parents, and I can prove to them that I love them."
Moral Lesson:
'Man has the ability to develop his character and both, because he is endowed with intellect and will. They can help her to be more responsible.'
