Apostle Paul as a Tentmaker
My Jehovah Nissi! The LORD is my banner and my refuge! The source of my strength!
I love to share my everyday God-inspired words to enlighten our spirits! We cannot live on bread alone, we need His words to feed our spirits too!
Acts 18:1-4 (NIV)
1 After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.
2 There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them,
3 and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.
4 Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.

The world we live in is fast-paced. Everyone is extremely busy with each own works and responsibilities.
Today’s scripture portraits the Apostle Paul as a tentmaker. We all know that since his encounter with the LORD Jesus, his life totally changed from Saul to Paul. From Christian persecutor to a lover of souls.
No matter how busy he was during his lifetime, he always have time for God and ministry. He loved God with all his heart and soul till his very last breath.
This verse truly reminding us present age generation of Christ’s followers to prioritize Him and God’s works specially now that we are living in crisis!
Even the LORD Jesus Himself was a carpenter before He started doing God the Father’s mission given unto Him.
It is not wrong to work and earn money. We all do have a family to feed on and it’s our responsibility but always put God first in everything we do.
At times work becomes challenging, allow the Holy Spirit to convict our troubled hearts for the LORD God is our Jehovah Shalom, our peace both our tired earthly bodies and weary souls!
From the moment we wake up till we close our eyes in the evening, we thank and glory God! Amen.
Seek God while still He can be found!
