It was last Feb. 22,2025, Saturday, that I finally had my new cellphone as planned.
It was made possible because of the Pi which was mined 6 year ago was exchanged into cash in such a good value , $ 2.1.each. I had 100 Pi but I only exchanged the half of it and the other half later.
My children who taught me also had their own and also exchanged a part of ehat they have mined.
We were all happy but sad on the other hand because of some friends and relatives who did not believe in it and consider it as a scam.
Choice or Destiny
Everyone of us had dreams to fulfill in life, what we want to be in the future with regards to profession, work, person to be with in our lifetime and many more .
But sometimes it didn't happen to everyone as they wish it should happen. While there are those who successfully fulfilled it . What could be the probable reasons.
Personal Choice
Everyday we are confronted to make a choice. And making a choice is a decision to be made. And in whatever decision we made naturally will affect the whole scenario that we are building for our dreams and wishes in life.
When choice have been made , necessary steps should be done to accomplish the set goals in pursuant of the dreams and wishes to attain.
Challenges to face
It's not an easy road to go through heading toward that dreams and wishes to be in reality. Because along the way there are roads that are rough, slippery or dangerous. Besides there may be untoward or unexpected incidents that could happen while you travel in the road of life . There maybe obstructions, delays, detours, on the road that'll should be handled right to reach the aimed place to reach.
Personal Point of View
Our choices or Decisions Made has something to do with our destiny. So there is nothing or no one to be blamed on whatever the result may have become.
Possible Results of our decisions made, can be a failure or a success. So we have to be ready for both results.
If it is a failure, then still we must have the right attitude in facing it. If it is a success, we ought to still have the right attitude in celebrating our success.
Having the right attitude in both results will make us live our lives meaningful, purposeful and joyful with the people who are with us and around us.
Life is so short to waste our lives in fretting for problems that come our way. Problems are inevitable and no.one in this world lives without any problems face.
Therefore, live life at its best, having the faith in God ,our Creator, who loves us and cares for us. God wants the best for us. All we have to do is give our full trust and keep believing in Him.
Let me just conclude this article using this verse from the Bible found in :

How Is Your Health
Health Is Everyone's Concern
The Parent's Concern
Parents are the number one concern about the health of their children. Even before the child was born, while still at the womb of a mother, the mother is already taking steps to secure her health for the sake of the child's health from conception , till the child was born.
We cannot be able to know every details what our mother or father have gone through in taking care of us before we were born and until we grow being dependent children. It's only when we become parents that we can be able to know the details of it.
During the time of our dependency to our parents , they lovingly gave us all that they can be able to give to ensure our good health, safety and well being .
Even during our independence from our parents, still guidance and advice to take good care of our health is their unending concern.
The Personal Concern
In our adulthood, it is our own concern to look after our own health. We become responsible for it, being a matured individual.
How we become physically, regarding health concerns is our own doings. So any negligence on our part to follow healthy habits, we alone will reap its consequences. The only sad part of it, is we make others in the family carry the burden of taking care of us when we become sick.
How Health Becomes Our Wealth
The old cliche "Health is Wealth" gives us the idea that health in itself is wealth because it is beneficial.
Just as wealth gives joy and happiness, health does it also to us. We enjoy bonding moments with family, relatives and friends when we are in good health conditions.
We can do many things when we are in good health condition. We can go to places we want to or need to go when we feel good . We can work to earn a living when we are healthy, because employers preferred employees who are in good health conditions.
Having good health spare us from unwanted miseries , and being burdensome to our dear loved ones.
Having good health means long life, happiness and lots of opportunities to experienced a meaningful & purposeful life.
How Health Is Regarded
Different people have different ways in facing their concerns with regards to health.
By the Young Ones
Young people is not so much concern with regards to their health. Most of them do as they pleased. Healthy habits are taken for granted or if not, is being compromised to something else that suits their taste, happiness or trend.
By the Old Ones
Sad to say, that being mindful for health concerns are a bit late. Accumulated toxins in younger years rise to the limit. The stage of prevention is over, and cure is the only option.
Conclusion:
The importance we give to our health shows the manner how we live our lives daily .

Behind The Changes
Truths About A Change or Changes
Changes are inevitable, everywhere in the world today .
People are always looking , expecting, wishing and desiring for a change .
There are many and different reasons why people like a change or changes whether it be on their physical appearances , relationships , surroundings ,and most especially on economic status in life .
Changes are advantageous as well as disadvantageous. It can be profitable or not at a given time or situation .
Changes are dependent upon persons, places, timing, and purpose.
Changes are expressions of person's need for improvement for self or environment or it can be because of discontentment.
**Globally speaking, basing upon the past situations and past experiences of mankind through the ages, as we look back into it, historically speaking , we can see so many changes that had happened.**
Probable Reasons for Changes
People varies in many aspects. As there were different races and lived in different places, and have different ways or walks of life, reasons for changes varies definitely.
Desires, wishes, needs, improvements, in securing the future physically, spiritually, socially, mentally, and last but not the least economically or financially.
Coping Up To Changes
Individually people act or react to changes in manner or way how the changes are accepted.
Changes can make people happy and contented if those changes are profitable, advantageous, and adaptable for them.
On the other hand, there are those who can't cope up with changes at once. But since changes are inevitable, and coping up to changes demands time, effort and acceptance, they have to bear it and adapt themselves to it.
My Personal Experience
Just recently last month , Jan. when I travelled from province to city to spend my New Year with my grandchildren with their parents, I experienced some changes in commuting .
Changes which I am not so aware of because for so long a time I have not travelled going to Manila.
Traffic in Manila is the number one problem for years. And to solve that problem is not so easy to achieve. There are lots of ways and means that has been planned and executed for a change to addressed to it by different persons that finally , somehow such changes implemented worked both ways advantageous and disadvantageous.
I said this because of my personal experienced just recently. Being one of the hundreds or thousands of commuters on that very day in Manila, I found it difficult but glad to say safer than before, because of the changes made on the rules and regulations of transportation and being implemented as strictly as possible
Safer in the sense that you are to cross safely going to the other side of the road using the footbridge or overpass to get a ride on the other side of the road in the legitimate or proper bus stop. The only disadvantage was to go up & down the stairs , which is too high.
Buses has its own lane where to stop to get passengers and get off the passengers. Somehow it was well and good in eliminating traffic congestion on the streets. The only disadvantage is that you have to walk a long way from the bus stop either towards or backwards to where your destination is.
By the way , we went that day in Fiesta Carnival. The bus stop was so far to where we are going that we have to go backward.
In going back home, we just decided to take a taxi cab to spare ourselves as well as the 4 kids with us , from walking a long way towards the bus stop from where we are .
It was a long trip in going back home, but since we are in taxi cab we travelled with comfort and ease and safety.
My Personal Opinion
The Results of such changes in transportation rules and regulations was well and good . lt is for the safety and benefit of every commuters .
The necessity of the changes involved , I believe were profitable for the majority of the commuters taking their daily travel going to their respective works or classes
Commuting became smooth , easier, safe and less traffic because every vehicle knows its designated place to thread on , on the streets .
The changes taught everyone to be disciplined , to abide by the rules implemented , to cope up with and bear the disadvantages, if there is any, being brought by the changes.
Somehow, maybe in the future such disadvantages, may be eliminated as changes would occur depending upon the discretions of people concerned or authorized personnel of the government to make reasonable, profitable, more advantageous, changes to enjoy and not to endure.

Christian: Message Imparted
There comes a time in my life that I questioned myself about contentment in life. What does it really mean , and can anyone like me, would be able to have it.
Just this morning, when I opened my cellphone and connected it to wifi there appeared on the screen the profile photo of an old closed friend, who lived in California, USA for a very long time with his family, almost 25 yrs. He became the Pastor of Mt. Olives Baptist Church.
I clicked the profile photo, to open the messenger to look the message he sent. And I saw this:
I clicked the video sent and watched it from beginning to end.
The video presents their Worship Service being held. The Pastor begun to preach after the congregational singing , followed by choir special number and s prayer by the Pastor himself.
After the his prayer he requested the congregation to rise up and requested to have a responsive reading of the passages in the Bible found in 1 Timothy 6;1-21. And from it he started his preaching.
He entitled his preaching "The Marks of Contentment"
I was not able to jot down the )outline of his preaching. Nevertheless summarizing the message of his preaching by my own words the following retained into my mind .
The Marks of Contentment
I. Having a peaceful attitude
This kind of attitude is being shown at difficult time experiences that is beyond one's control . Such attitude emanates from a strong faith in God leading to full trust and dependence in the power of God who is in control of everything, working out good for us from such difficult situations. Being convinced that God is being present always anytime and anywhere to help and supply what is needed. That contentment is felt and achieved in having God in our lives and being at peace with Him.
II. Sustaining wisdom
The wisdom that comes from above and not the wisdom that is of this world. The true wisdom comes from having fear of God or giving reverence to God. And such kind of wisdom will sustain us to live above different kinds of situations faced in life that triggers our depraved nature, to act and react fleshly and not spiritually, meaning according to God's will . Not having clear understanding , which is to depart from doing evil, and having clear conscience , that is knowing the good from the bad, the right from the wrong. Doing the good instead of the bad and choosing the right instead of the wrong.
III. Having Joy & Happiness
Joy is the motivating factor or reason why we do something for others .
Giving or offering a helping hand willingly, whenever there is an opportunity , comes automatically.
Sharing our blessings to the needy whether we know or know them not personally , is dictated by our hearts and minds. Not thinking or expecting something in return. And even not thinking that we lost something when we share but rather thinking we gain because it is gaining God 's approval , from which our blessings come from.
IV. Loving
A person being loved in its true and deepest sense, knows and learns how to loved too in the same way, because he/she personally experienced it. He/she felt and saw the ways and means of expressing it and in the same way expressed it.
My own conclusion
Contentment to be experienced and achieved in life can only be possible , if God is with you and you steadfastly and wholly trust His kind of love, mercy, grace, forgiveness , goodness , faithfulness and many more , for being who God is in your life here and hereafter.
Let us always remember, that there is nothing that will separate us from the love of God. So sustaining wisdom , and clear understanding should lead us to choose and decide to be always on God side and be not sidetracked by the world systems, influences, and what it offers more.

Gift 🎁
Gifts comes in any form, material or immaterial, tangible or non tangible, physical or spiritual.
Gifts brings joy and happiness to the giver as well as to its recipient.
Gifts suggests or testify the personality or nature of the giver and its recipient. The actions as well as the reactions of both are weighed by its presentation of the gift , and how valuable it is. But no matter how it is presented or how valuable it is, it's the thoughtfulness of the person that counts.
Gifts knows no time or limit for the one who is generous or loves to give.
The Meaning of Gift
The meaning of gift may vary from person to person. The mind and heart of a person dictates its meaning in a way or manner their gift is presented and given.
Positively speaking
Gift is something received that you have not worked for, as some defined it. But looking into it , somehow it shows that we are given gift by someone because we have gained favor in their sight irrespective of what we have done for them. But in some cases it could be that some favors are gained because of what we have done that delights them, or in appreciation for what is done for them. Other reasons are because of love & respect, to honor, to help or charity purposes.
Negatively Speaking
There are some people who practiced gift giving with string attached to it , meaning expecting something in return.
The Message of a gift
Gifts in any form material or financial is a way of every individual in expressing love, appreciation, thankfulness , gratitude, joy, happiness, peace, as well as forgiveness and still many more.
From whom gifts are received
There are lots to mentioned about from whom we received gifts. First and foremost:
Family & Closed Friends
But primarily the gifts we received are from family & closed friends. It is because they are the ones who knows more of you and always with you. They know your birthday, wedding anniversary celebrated. Other events that are closely related to your education or work like achievements that's worth celebrating, gifts in different forms out of their generosity, appreciation and most of all loved are happily & joyfully bestowed upon you consistently. With or Without invitation, with or without sumptuous celebrations, their presence will be there, with it without precious gifts but just simple gifts to makes us feel loved, appreciated and remembered .
Acquaintances
Secondly are those people whom we called acquaintances, the ones who became part in our lives, like our classmates friend, neighbors, workmates. Somehow they are present in our important event celebrations when invited.
Others Not Personally Related To Us
Generous groups or people not closely related to us nor know us personally, like the NGO or Government Agencies. We very well know and experienced the concerned of others during our deepest need , during the pandemic times. We received lots of Ayuda which we can say gifts received from them.
My final Say
During the holiday season, like everyone else, I received gifts from family and closed friends. I was so surprised because it comes from an unexpected people :
The first one I received was from a classmate friend from USA who came home . We didn't personally met because of my complicated schedule due to work which was in Nueva Vizcaya and not in Nueva Ecija which was both our home province . Nevertheless , it didn't matter to my classmate friend whether I will received the gift personally or not. The gift was personally delivered at our home in Nueva Ecija , which was received by my son. The gift was a KJV Bible, a reference Bible, leather bound, and having a giant print.
I have received other gifts like cash gifts and material things but for me this is special and the best , for it will help me a lot in my spiritual life to be stronger in my faith in God, which matters most in my earthly life more so in the life hereafter.

First bonding in First Month of New Year 2024
Family bonding is one among many events in our lives that we ought to have. I know you will agree with me that family bonding can be considered as spending a quality time with loved ones. It is a time that we can spend together to enjoy the presence of each other , sharing a day or two to have fun in whatever activities you loved to do together.
The Plan for Family Bonding
It's been a long time that I have not seen my grand children to my eldest daughter. As far as I can remember, it was March 2020 that they went to Bicol, because of the declared lockdown . I was left behind to be the caretaker of the house.
Now that pandemic is over and facing the New Year 2024, I thought and planned to have a bonding moments with my grand children. I planned to spend the New Year with them. So I set Dec. 28 to travel to Manila & spend the New Year. I listed in a piece of paper my plans in details. As a senior I did it so as not to forget and be mixed up with the things to do.
Permission from Elder Bro.
I agreed to be a caregiver to my elder Bro. upon his request. From Nueva Ecija I travelled on June 22, 2023, going to Nueva Vizcaya where my brother lived. And on the morrow started to be his caregiver . Every month he allowed me to be home to Nueva Ecija , and asked somebody to take my place. Having in mind my one week off , I told my brother about my plan on that holiday season.
My request for a leave for a week being a care giver was granted. Assured of my week long leave I prepared excitedly for my travel.
The Unexpected Delay & It's Cause
It was Dec. 26 , 2023 , afternoon that I was accidentally bitten by a puppy owned by my elder brother. I told them about it, and my sister-in-law got worried and told me to take an anti-rabies injection the soonest. Alarmed by such dangers that might be possible to happen I agreed to have an anti rabies injection . On the morrow Dec. 27 we went to the provincial Capitol Hospital. When we get there at about 8 am , I saw lots of people waiting to be treated. I was number 42 among the patients. So I sat down and waited for my turn . At about 9 am my first anti rabies vaccine was given. After this first dose I was informed to be back Dec. 29 for my second dose and Jan. 3, 2024 for my third and last dose, completing my anti rabies vaccination.
My health is my wealth, so I have to prioritize it . So then I have to cancel my plan of family bonding and postponed it for the meantime and just re- scheduled it .
The Plan B of Family Bonding
This time of having my plan B , I realized that I need to PRAY about it to God . So again I listed in details my plans and begin to PRAY about everything pertaining to it: health concerns of everyone, financial provisions and protection.
The re-scheduled plan was to travel going to Caloocan City on Jan. 13, 2024, Saturday, attend Sunday Worship Service on Jan. 14, 2024, Sunday, and on Jan. 15, 2024, Monday, treat my eldest daughter , because it is her birthday. as well as treat the kids .
The Result of Prayer
On Jan. 13, 2024, Friday , I travelled going to Caloocan City. It was a safe travel though it took me long hours to reach my destination.
On Jan. 14, 2024, Sunday, I was able to attend the Morning Worship Service in Calvary Baptist Church and had fellowship with my old friends, whom I have not seen for quite a long time. We had a heart warming fellowship and bonding moments.
The same day , Jan. 14, 2024, Sunday evening , I was able to attend the Evening Worship Service at TBBC Caloocan church. I had also a heart warming fellowship and bonding moments with old friends .
And finally on Jan. 15, 2024, Monday, my bonding with my loved ones: my eldest daughter and her kids, as well as my youngest son and his kids was made a reality.
The Bonding Moment Venue
In family bonding moments , the venue or place to celebrate it , is an important matter to consider, when you very well know with whom you will celebrate it. Since I missed my four grand children, I thought of Fiesta Carnival in Cubao, the best for kids to be entertained.
The Date and Time
Another thing to consider is when to celebrate it. It should be something to be remembered by and somewhat special. There are lots of things that had happened to come up with the final decision as to the date and time. The availability of everyone concern made it difficult. But then, after much prayer of the plans, it turned out well and good.
The Budget
Considering the venue , Fiesta Carnival, In advance I asked my daughter how much should I need to prepare for the rides and foods. After searching in the internet, she told me the details about it. Knowing then the probable cost to be allotted to it, I budgeted a sum of money that is more to it than less, to be safe and enjoy.
On the evening of January 14, 2024, Sunday , I gave my daughter, the amount I budgeted. It will be spend for the transportation going to Fiesta Carnival, for the rides, for food and transportation in going back home.
The Bonding Moment
My eldest daughter and her two kids were my companions in going to Fiesta Carnival. My youngest son with his kids just joined us at Fiesta Carnival, Cubao. When everyone of us met at Fiesta Carnival , I told my eldest daughter together with my youngest son to avail of the tickets needed for the rides.
When we had the ticket I chose to first take the train ride for all of us , for it will take us all around to see all what's in the Fiesta Carnival.
After that ride I let them choose for their kids the rides that would be fun and entertaining for my grand children. And the following were chosen:
Seeing my grandchildren having fun and entertained with their rides, made me more happier than they. I thanked God , for the opportunity of having bonding moments with them. That day was a fulfillment of the plan I prayed for.
This family bonding was a memorable event and would be treasured in our hearts and mind.
A Night Dream Turned To Reality
Dreams during our sleep are inevitable part of our sleeping hours at night or even anytime we sleep.
Personally , I am a woman who have frequent dreams anytime of the day whenever I sleep. Some dreams can be remembered in details while other dreams are not.
My husband , to whom I almost shared my dreams called me "Josefa" . He called me in such a name because of the lots of dreams I had. He based it on an Old Testament Biblical character named Joseph, who had lots of dreams.
There are a lot more dreams, that had been a part of my real life. Some good, and happy others are bad and sad. I can't help myself to get rid of dreams whenever I sleep. It's been a day by day night after night experienced. Dreams made me aware that I had a deep sleep and without it I knew I had not slept good.
The Story Behind This Photo
This is the present construction in progress at the moment on my inherited lot which has started last first week of April, 2023.
The building to be constructed will be a church building as one of the outreach of the Blessed Hope Bible Baptist Church.
The parcel of land where it is being constructed was my own inherited lot.
The Story Behind My Inherited Lot
Before my parents died they saw to it that the parcel of land (residential lot) be subdivided to us and had its own title. I had my lot which was situated on the end part of the parcel of land.
My own family lived in Caloocan City that time. My husband and I just decided to leave 2008 and went home to my hometown province here in Nueva Ecija. It was out of necessity that we stayed & lived here . And while staying here we stayed on my parents house to care for my old aged mother, a sick sister and a special child sister who at that moment were no one with them. My husband then somehow was able to care for my inherited lot and plant additional fruit trees , since it was a 258 sq . meter lot. He let an artesian well be digged for watering the plants.
The Dream About The Inherited Lot
I had lots of dreams regarding my inherited lot which was situated at the last lot at the back of our ancestral house. One of which dream that kept repeating again and again in my dream was that there was a building built on the said lot occupying a big space.
As I ponder on that dream, I could not imagine how it could happen, for I know I don't have the financial ability to work it out . So I leave that thoughts hanging and just forget it .
Years After The Dream
Years has passed after my dream about the inherited lot.
Year 2019 I was in Caloocan City with my firstborn daughter who is going to deliver her second child. It was the main reason why I joined her family , because she was a working mom.
Year 2020 when pandemic strikes that change life's situations of many people , and I for one was included in the changes.
When my firstborn daughter family left for Bicol due to pandemic, I stayed with my youngest son family in Pasay City and stayed there till April 2022 because of health protocol restrictions. It was only by first week of May, 2022 when I was able to travel back home to Nueva Ecija , when there was no more restrictions for travelling. Maybe it was because of the Presidential election that time.
Prelude of the Reality of the Dream
Being back home to my hometown meant being back to worship & fellowship with the church members in Blessed Hope Bible Baptist Church.
I was informed that they had started a Bible Study ministry in Barangay Cabucbucan, my own Barangay. Since I've been previously active in such work in the past, I joined them and intend to support the work in any means I can be able to help .
Just by Dec. 2022 the first Bible Study for Children was held inside the premises of our house.
The Situation Leading to the Reality of the Dream
The Children Bible Study continued up to the present time May, 2023. Since we are holding our Bible Study in an open space the necessity of a secured place for Bible Study was thought of and planned by the people concern, due to the coming rainy season.
They first thought of renting a small house temporarily , somewhere in the community. It came to my mind to offer my lot to build a temporary small hut , but it turned out to the offer of buying it to build a permanent building not only for Bible Studies & Worship place.
After much prayer by both parties, the Church under the leadership of the Pastor and me personally , a contract to sell was signed last March 2023.
The Construction of the Building
The Construction of just a small building started first week of April 2023 and still in progress. I believe in God's will and time the building shall be finish the soonest . And when that very time comes, I shall say the dream reality is confirmed.
Closing Thoughts
There is no doubt that everyone experiences dreams during sleeping hours. Dreams may convey a message to us for our present or for future life's situations. You may agree or disagree with me. But as for me, basing upon my past experiences with some of my dreams, I can only say , it conveyed a message that pertains to what will happen in the future.

The Impossible Made Possible
There are different stories about any special event before it actually happen. And in my case , I want to share my own personal story about the story behind the special event I attended last Nov. 27, 2022, Sunday afternoon.
In case you haven't read my previous article, the Special Event That I Attended was the 65th Birthday of our Pastor, Fred Santiago of Blessed Hope Bible Baptist Church, Rizal, Nueva Ecija .
The following was the story behind , before the actual event happened.
The Announcement
There are times that I cannot attend the Worship services in Church for different reasons. Sometimes I am hindered by my physical health conditions and sometimes of unavailability of someone who will fetch me from home going to church.
I was thankful that on the last Sunday of October, 2022 I was able to attend the Worship Service of BBC Estrella. This is the Outreach of the BHBBC , Rizal , the main church, pastored by Pastor Fred Santiago.
After the Worship Service, the Announcement was made about the Special Event which will be held on the main church building on the last Sunday of November 27, 2022 .
Part of the Announcement was about the dress code, contribution to food amounting to 150 pesos , for kids and adults who will attend. Beside the contribution for food, there will be commitment of such amount as a birthday gift to Pastor Fred Santiago , the birthday celebrant who will be turning 65 years old. The commitment are for everyone who is willing to give. The minimum commitment was 1,000. But anyone could give more or less the minimum commitment depending upon the financial ability of a person.
My Personal Reaction
Hearing about the Announcement , I feel motivated to attend such an special event. I wanted to experience something different for it is the first time that such kind of a celebration was to be held. For the previous years of celebrating the Pastor's Birthday was as simple as it can be. How simple it is, is I already mentioned in my previous post .
My Financial Status
Personally, I confessed that I don't have the financial ability to give for food and minimum commitment which I desire to give. It is because, my SSS pension is the lowest amount to be received by a pensioner. But how I and my son survived on such amount every month up to now, is by God's providential care to us.
So having experienced such daily provisions from God , made me to take a step of faith. I thought if God has provided my needs in the past, He will also provide for my needs for the occasion. I compelled myself to take a step of faith in God and trust Him for the means.
My Steps of Faith & God's Working
I started praying to God about my financial needs. God put ideas in my mind what to do . The idea was about to sell clothes that suits the dress code in the event. Since I had a second hand clothing mini store (Ukay Ukay Store) I started sorting out clothes , and found some.
The next step was to pray to whom I shall approach to sell it. Certain believers pop into my mind to approach. And I prayed to God to give me favor in there sight that they would buy.
Excited as I was , I immediately message one of them and sending photos of the clothes with it's respective price tags. Her response was positive . She was able to like a terno outfit for her daughter and a blouse for herself.
I made additional efforts to sell to others, but they refused and not interested , saying they can't afford it.
The next person that came to my mind was a pastor who had a year old grandson. Since I also had clothes suited for his grandson I brought it when I went to church. And after the Worship Service I went to their house and offered the the clothes. They looked at the clothes and liked it all. They bought all the clothes that I offered them right away. Her wife knew that I am selling clothes so that I could raise funds for my commitment on the special event.
I was able to raise a sum of 1,050 in all . Having such amount, I went to the house of one of our brethren who is assigned in collecting the commitment and payment for food. I was still short of a hundred pesos (100php) .
That 100 pesos was paid in full the next Sunday, because there was one in our neighborhood who paid me 200 pesos as her partial payment for his debt to me on some of the clothes he took weeks ago.
Beside it all, I had additional money for other needs to be met . An unexpected buyer came in our house on Sunday afternoon. He bought lots of kids clothings amounting to more than 200 php. She was from a far place and just visited her mother, who is my neighbor. She was satisfied with the clothes she bought for it was good in quality and cheap according to her .
My Personal Testimony
God gave me the faith that moved me to trust and depend on Him.
God answers my prayers. He favored me in the sight of my co believers in the church , and my neighbors too.
God provided my financial needs timely and more than I expected and needed.
God did worked out things in favor of me. The people whom God used , unknowingly didn't realized that it is God who moved them to do me some favors. But personally I am very aware of it, and so I praised and thanked God for everything .
So therefore I conclude, that God is all behind my story why I was able to attend that Special Event.
Looking back on my previous experiences with God's loving kindness and providential care, I counted this again as one of my memorable events in my life.
I hope this story of mine, will somehow inspire . It is not to see is to believe that works but it is rather To Believe Is To See, God's wonderful ways of caring for us in meeting our needs.

Special Event I Attended
I was privileged to attend a Special Event last Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022. It was a Birthday Celebration of our Pastor. The said event is not only to celebrate his birthday but also to show appreciation for his faithful act of ministering to all the believers in Rizal, Nueva Ecija as well as the believers in diverse places here in Nueva Ecija. It was his 65th birthday.
This was the best among the rest of the 15th celebration that was held among his birthday celebration. It can be said as a grand celebration in appreciation for him as God's gift to us being our Pastor. And I was happy to be there , in the celebration to witness , and experienced the joy of the celebration.
I said it's grand, or the best among the rest because of the following:
The Venue
The Birthday Celebration was held usually at BHBBC (Blessed Hope Bible Baptist Church) building, in Rizal Nueva Ecija, Sunday Afternoon. We were just outside the building , put up chairs and tables used in the church for such different purposes .
This time It was very different. They decorated and set up the place nicely for two purposes; worship service , because it is Sunday, and the celebration of birthday and appreciation of our beloved Pastor.
They hired chairs and tables and set it up inside the church building. The chairs and tables were covered with cloth with the color motiff of gold.
The main platform was decorated beautifully according to the occasion. The curtains of the windows were matched to the color combination motiff.
Actually I was so surprised to see it all. The celebration indeed was levelled up from simple to grand.
**The Dress Code/Accessories**
It was also the first time that we are to wear formal clothing, from kids to adults.
Formal wear for ladies color combination of black and gold. It could be a long dress or below the knee dress with long or short sleeve, not low neckline. With hair accessories and fashion jewelries.
For men , black pants & polo with suspender or coat and tie and with hats.
**The Guests**
The Visitors of the said event came from the different Mission Churches in different parts in Nueva Ecija, which Pastor has laboured for and supported being the Pastor of the Main Church BHBBC (Blessed Hope Bible Baptist Church).
The Program
The program was emceed by one of the son of the Pastor . As an introduction to the event , he mentioned about how the celebration get started and is continuing up to now as an appreciation to the Pastor of the Church. It is a part of acknowledging the Pastor, as God's gift to the believers as a church, to minister to believers in giving spiritual nourishment for spiritual growth and maturity.
After such introduction , the Church welcomes the Pastor with his wife in standing ovation, as he passed by at the ailse.
Afternoon Worship Service
Singing
The BHBBC Ladies Ensemble , rendered their Special Number.
Giving of Testimonies
Two Pastors gave their personal testimonies on how God used Pastor Fred in their spiritual journey till they become Missionary Pastors.
Prayer
The Pastor who preached the word of God, started with Prayer before Preaching.
Preaching
After the Preaching prayer was made , then a short speech from the BHBBC Pastor , the Birthday Celebrant .
The Birthday Celebration
After the Worship Service , the celebration started. One of the Pastor of an Outreach of the Church , from which I belong , prayed for the food we are going to partake. After the prayer as announcement was made as to how food was to be taken so that there will be orderliness.
The Picture Taking
The picture taking were done by groups or by churches. But of course the first group was the family of the birthday celebrant followed by the mission churches pastors. They were the first one who were served by food .
The picture taking, giving of special numbers by churches, and self serving of food, because it was a Buffett style was done simultaneously .
Which ever group will have the picture taking, on the platform with the Pastor & wife , as they finished will go straight outside where the food is being served.
Rendering Special Number
Each mission church render a special number. While others are eating their food there were choir from mission church that render their special numbers. After rendering such special number, then they will go straight outside where the food is served.
Food Serving /Buffet Style
We fall in line for the food to be served . It was a catering service , for everyone's convinience. We contributed 150 per person whether you are a child or adult.
Usually in the previous celebration it was potluck. Beside the foods prepared by members of the main church , the mission churches and outreach who will come have also food prepared to be served.
So by this time, all of us will just be served by food. No more cooking, no more carrying of everything needed in eating . Just prepare ourselves accordingly to the celebration, enjoy the celebration and fellowship .
I guess, I have told everything about the event, that I was privileged to attend.
All I can say is, all of us who attended enjoyed the event.
God indeed blessed each one materially, financially , and physically so as we would be able to attend the event.
I shall be sharing to you how God did blessed me to attend such event , but I will just reserved it for the next article.

Different Perception/Conviction About Christmas
Perception from Kids to Adults
Beginning from kids, teen agers , young adults and adults, all have different perceptions about Christmas. And such perceptions were based upon to whom they grew up with as a kid. And when they become exposed to society, meeting different kinds of people from all walks of life and with the different faith and beliefs, as teen agers, and young adults, they tend to either change or remain in such perceptions about Christmas. But as a person mature in the process of time , having more knowledge and experiences , perceptions about Christmas grows more deeper, meaningful and purposeful.
For kids , as young as 3 to 4 yrs. Old , nowadays, parents make them aware about Christmas in regards to its celebration. So what the kids can perceive about Christmas is a happy celebration of feasting on someone's birthday. The child might have been informed whose birthday it is, but not actually know more about the details about the birthday celebrant. And as they grow older at 5 to 7 years old, Christmas for them is only receiving gifts from relatives and loved ones, but more on godly parents that they have. And another thing is on having new clothes and new shoes to wear. And I think by reaching the age of 8 to 12 yrs. old , Christmas may mean not only receiving gifts but giving gifts as well. Then by reaching the teen age years and as young adults, till adulthood some changes occurs in some perceptions on what Christmas is all about. It becomes more precise , meaningful and purposeful.
My Personal Conviction
Christmas is all about God's Love , You & Me and the Whole Human Race
About God's Love
It is because of God's love to a sinful human race that God sent a Saviour into this world in the form of a human flesh, whom He is going to save from eternal damnation in hell.
We ought to understand that God is not only a Loving God, but a Holy and Just God too. And being a Holy and Just God He has to punish sin.
About Jesus Christ
He was born in this world , not actually on the 25th of December, as the whole world celebrate it. But it doesn't matter which date it was, as long as we believed that He was really born in this earth and lived as fulfillment of prophecy, as our Only Saviour, is what really matters.
The Virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ , is so important. Therein lies the sinlessness of Jesus Christ , as a pre requisite to be the Saviour of a sinful human race.
About Us (You and Me and the whole Human Race)
Everyone of us born into this world is sinful. We inherited the very nature of our first parents Adam & Eve, who through their disobedience to God's commandment sinned against God, and be punished. But thanks be to God, w ho loved us so much , that He sent Jesus Christ as our Saviour.
Conclusion
Therefore Christmas is all about:
C - Christ, is the God Sent One to be our Saviour
H - Hope that our sins will be forgiven
R - Redemption is possible and available
I - Inspiration to live in Joy, & Peace
S - Salvation from eternal damnation guaranteed
T - Thanksgiving to God for His great love
M - Mercy and grace sufficiency
A - All God's promises faithfully fulfilled
S - Security and safety in God 's hand is available and certain

The Kind of Faith Shows The Kind of Life
No one can deny the fact that each of us has some kind of beliefs or faith which we take hold on to in life. It maybe handed on to us by our parents or have been passed by our forefathers from generations to generations which in the process of time had been adopted , accepted and treasured in life up to the present.
And since it was handed down to us from childhood, by practice and teachings of our parents, we do the same and embraced it, and had been our way of life.
And I must say, Life Is What or How We Make it. And what kind of life we have is how we make it according to our beliefs, or faith that we practiced.
The Need
It is needful therefore, to check our beliefs or faith , if we are on the right track of truthfulness, to ensure the happy life to be lived on earth. Life can be miserable as it is, when you live in a lie or falsehood all your life on earth , more so in the life hereafter.
Making A Decision
As we aged and become independent from our parents, changes in beliefs or faith can either change or remain, depending on the decision we will make.
The possiblity of a change is possible depending on how we are diligent to seek for truth based on the best reliable source that is available and is within our reach.
The Best Source of Truth
Due to our wide range of exposure to the society apart from our usual companions, New ideas , informations , teachings and knowledge that can be known from different sources are available.
In my own conviction, the BIBLE is the best source of TRUTH, specifically the KJB1611. It is because it is the nearest Version to the original manuscripts.
The kind of life that anyone lived before God and fellowmen shows, the beliefs or faith that one has.
The Complexities in Life
There exist complexities in life because of what we are or who we are by creation. As human beings we were created uniquely from each other. We have individual differences that if not accepted and tried to be understood on God's point of view , we all messed up with our lives in dealing with each other in peace or harmoniously.
In Human Relationship
In every kind of relationship whether it be personal , private or public, the possibilities of problems exists. Problems exists because of differences in beliefs or faith, personalities, and many more. If not handled right, sad to say, any relationship will break up.
Human tendencies , because of being imperfect or sinners by nature, problems arises. Not unless we let God worked in us and through us unsolved problems continue.
Realization
The Need of True Faith in God
Every individual therefore need to realize the need of God in our lives. And it takes faith , belief, trust and dependence upon God to live a life at its best.
The Need To Balance The Physical and Spiritual Needs
This is the common mistake that we need to consider in life. We were so focus on the physical needs more than our spiritual needs. It is only when we faced problems, difficulties, troubles that we remember to seek God .
Conclusion
Life lived on earth is a privilege or a gift from God to enjoy responsibly, with the free will God has given us.
I say, responsibly, it is because at our appointed time we will face our Creator in the life hereafter to give account of ourselves to Him, on how we lived our life on earth.
The earth is just a temporary place to live just as our physical body is just the temporary abode of our immortal soul. The body without the soul is dead and will turn to dust from which it came from. But the soul goes into eternity which it is destined to .
Our soul's destination is dependent on the kind of decision we made during our earthly life. It is dependent on the faith or belief we had on God, whether we accept or reject the Saviour Jesus Christ , whom God has sent into this world long years ago.
The world believed that Jesus Christ came and lived in this earth, that is why the world celebrate Christmas. The very essence of Christmas is: Jesus Christ is the God sent Saviour of a sinful mankind, because a real place called hell exist in eternity, for those who reject Christ, and a real place called heaven in eternity exist for those who by grace through faith accept Him as Saviour and Lord.
The kind of life we lived here on earth will show the kind of faith and belief in which we stand. Is our faith and belief based on the truthfulness as taught in the Bible, which the final authority ?
If in this world there exist records of our identity in our earthly existence, in which family we belong to, in eternity there exist records of our identity.
The Bible declares that there is a Book of Life wherein the names of people who were born in the family of God were written . And there are records of the good things we did on earth individually, and it is written in the Book of Remembrance.
If in this earth there is a judgment made for the good and evil, in eternity we will all face judgement before our God, the True and Living God.
The Judgment seat of Christ is to be faced by every true believers of Christ. This judgment is done to give rewards for the things they have done on earth. While the Great White Throne Judgment is to be faced by non believers of Jesus Christ.
I have yet many things to say, but this is all for now. Let us therefore examine ourselves whether we be in the true faith and belief according to the word of God, the Bible, the complete Revelation of God to mankind. Be not negligent in knowing what the Bible says. God in His great love and mercy gives everyone the wisdom and discernment of the truths as you willingly and in faith read the Bible.

Who Is The Real You on Earth?
Identification of a person is so important in our real world as well as in the social media world. Without it we couldn't have access to where we need to have our legitimate transactions to be made.
Identification Through Documents
Birth Certificate
This is the first and foremost important of all documents for our identification. It must be registered to the municipality wherein we were born to be valid.
In this document, the detailed information of our being is declared: our name, gender, father's name (last, middle, first name) mother's name ( maiden name ; last, middle, first name) (if legally married or not), date of birth, place of birth and other details .
All the detailed informations declared are all important, for it is our own identification , that will differentiate us from any other . Because of it's importance the declaration must be all correct, for if not , changes to be made must have an affidavit notarized by a licensed notary public attorney to be valid .
There are many transactions wherein , Birth Certificate is required to be presented or be asked of a photocopy of it to be attached to other documents. It is because your real and personal identity are declared in details.
Marriage Certificate
A person who decided to marry , a marriage certificate must be registered to the municipality where they get married , in order to be valid or legal. It is a life time contract agreement between a man and a woman who vowed to each other in the sight or presence of God and man.
This is also important for it declares, the kind of status that a person have as part of personal identification. It's declaration must be the concern of every individual to be honest to the public. And in its legality would hinder anyone to become adulterous.
Diploma
To everyone who is privileged to pursue education and a career , diploma is anyone's identification of educational attainment . Having such document, chances are , in search of job, one who is qualified , will be hired , depending on the documents presented and other relevant records attached to it .
There are indeed lots of records and documents that pertains to everyone's identification in our existence here on earth. To name some are the following:
Other Pertinent Identification
School ID
Every school whether public or private schools , require every students to have identification card Beginning from nursery , then elementary , secondary , college level and professional levels who undergo masters degree or doctorate degree of education. And this of course , are for security reasons.
Employment ID
Workers/employees in the government, private companies/ establishments all have identification cards worn before entering the working place or premises to avoid unauthorized personnel in their offices and access and rights only for employees and workers.
Licensed ID for Professionals , and
Drivers
Legalities in exercising professionalism in the practice of a career, a licensed ID is required. It is because they served the public.
Senior ID
This is not a mandatory ID . Only those who desire to be a member of the Community Senior Organization is required . And to anyone who desire to avail of the senior privilege and benefits , a Senior ID is required
National lD
The latest ID that has been required for every citizen in the Philippines.
Documents Validity/Legality
Besides the documents our physical appearance is added to our identification.That is why an individual photo is attached to any identification card a person has.
A signature of an individual on said documents or any identification cards attests to its validity or legality. And just in case a person cannot write a thumbmark or finger prints of a person is required depending on its necessity or importance.
Inevitable Changes in Identity Nowadays
In Gender
We all know that there is an identity crisis going on in our society world wide today. And this have brought many into confusion. The modern technology somehow had a part in this.
Somehow such confusion had been addressed to I guess, because anyone who had gone through such identity crisis where legitimately accepted by the society all over the world.
The rights of every individual have not changed whatsoever, at the process of time, but in our society worldwide there is always changes happenings just like the climate change that we are having.
In Marriage
We can't deny the fact that some countries allowed marriages that is not allowed according to our ancient beliefs and faith based on the word of God. Such practiced of course was allowed by other countries according to their government laws.
Some individuals somehow , adopt such changes in their identity , for to them , it is what it takes to live a happy life in this earth.
The last Identification of Existence on Earth
Death Certificate
At birth, which is our entrance into this world, the birth certificate identify us . And at death , as exit in this world , the death certificate identify us confirming the cessation of our existence. The last document of any individual to have is the Death Certificate, that culminates a person 's existence in this earth. The documents in which the family left behind could use in any benefit claims in behalf of the Deceased loved ones.
The above mentioned identification documents pertains only to this earth, to serve it's very purpose in life on this earth only. I said this because of my belief. I would say my belief is according to the teachings of the Bible that I have been taught . You can can agree or disagree with me, it's everyone's right and prerogative, and I respect what you believe and what you have in mind. We have freedom and the right to exercise it.

What It Takes To Live A Happy Life
Life, is the best and precious gift from God. We continue to exist in this world because God gives us life to live and enjoy , the way we want to .
As humans created by God in His own image, we are composed of body, soul and spirit. Our body is the world conscious part, the soul is our self conscious part , and the spirit is the God conscious part .
In these three aspects of our being, revolves our ways in life to live. How to live and enjoy our life these three aspects of our life must be handled right.
Our body
Our body is the human flesh , where our soul, the real us, resides or lives. We ought to take care of it , by nourishing it, to be healthy, and strong. We need not to abuse it, for in so doing we would get sick, and that would be the start of not enjoying our life .
Our soul
Just like our body our soul need to be nourished to be healthy and strong. The food of our soul is the word of God. We can feed it by making ourselves to avail in listening God's word as it is being preached and taught by God's ministers. Or by reading and studying it . And as we learned from it practice or do what we learned from it to strenghtened our faith in God .
Our spirit
Our spirit is the God's conscious part of us. It is through our spirit that God connects to us. The Holy Spirit which is the third Person of the Godhead will dwell in us as we by grace through faith accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. It is the indwelling Spirit of God in us who will help us to communicate with God through prayer.
These are the basic truths we ought to know being a person , that God has given a life to live in this earth , with free will. When we talk about free will , it is our very own right to decide or to choose.
So the kind of life here on earth will most likely depends on our decisions and choices to make. So what it takes to live a happy life is our decision or choice to make.
All of us liked to live a happy life, but it will take many things to realize and to do to achieve it.
I am not an expert to know many things about life, but I would share what I have learned through experience , observations , and how I had been taught , and based on my personal insights.
To start with the topic "What It Takes To Live a Happy Life" , the first thing that I can say is:
It Will Take To Know God our Creator , Personally
The God who created us , desires our own happiness in life so we need to know Him personally. God gives everyone a freewill, which means , God will not force Himself in our lives . We must be the one to decide or to choose to know Him personally.
The Bible is the complete Revelation of God of Himself in the past as well as in the future. We would have no excuse for knowing Him personally, for we have the Bible. We cannot know God personally apart from the Bible.
To know God personally, there must be first belief that God exist, and faith that He is the True and Living God taught in the Bible. And belief that the Bible is the final authority in the teachings about God and in the teachings of the principles of how life is to be lived as a true believer
God does not look on our outward appearance, status in life, or race. God looks at our heart. He will accept us just as we are , as we come to Him believing and having faith of who He is.
The God who gives us the life and desires to have it lived to be enjoyed and be happy, knows how we could achieved it. That is why we have the Bible as our guide to light our path in living our life in this earth. We are safe in God's hand. If He has given us life, and Jesus Christ as our Saviour, there is nothing that He could not give us . He will not withhold anything that will be for our own good and well being.
By knowing the attributes of God: as God who is Omnipotent (all powerful), Omniscient (all knowing), Immutable (unchangeable) , should make us to take hold on Him in full trust and dependence.
His love is unconditional, and unfailing. His promises are true and will fulfill it. He will never leave us nor forsake us.
His love is perfect that we could not ask for more. His love has no limit, it is eternal. His promises are steadfast and sure. He watches over us and with us always. We only don't feel His presence and don't have His blessings , because it is us who change and left Him, when we sin against Him or forget Him, or turn our back to Him, or went away from Him.
So if ever we were unhappy in life , it is not God who change, it is us who decided or chose to change towards Him. But and if we decide or choose to find our way back to Him , He is just there waiting to welcome back us again where we left Him. Always ready and willing to give the happiness in life, in accordance to His will . In full submission to God's will can we only find the true meaning of happiness.
True Happiness comes in knowing God personally and having Him in our lives.

Celebrating All Saints Day
In different places all over the world , All Saints Day is being celebrated in different ways. Differences were based on culture and traditions people have passed through one generation to another generation.
Practices Observed Before that Ceased Now
There are lots of practices in the past during my childhood days that is not practiced nowadays.
To mention one is what we call in our native tongue "mangangaluluwa". During the evening if Nov. 1, children, teen agers as well as adults will go from house to house to sing songs that pertains to the occasion. They will be given something by the owner of the house, like food or money. It's like caroling during Christmas celebration.
Nowadays, instead of "mangangaluluwa"they are having Halloween Party in school. The children wear costume or wear different kinds of scary masks. They were also given foods .
Another thing is, in almost in every houses , people are busy preparing different kinds of foods. During my childhood days the common foods prepared are different kinds of rice cakes. Now it is not being observed.
Practices Still Being Observed
There are yet practices that are being observed by the new generations and these are the following:
Cleaning the graveyard
This is being done before Nov. 1. People visit the cemetery to clean the surroundings of the graveyard and Repaint the tombs.
Bringing fresh flowers & foods
Rain or shine people go to cemetery to bring flowers and placed in the tombs. Bouquet of flowers are either personally made or bought from sellers outside the cemetery.
Other nationality like the Chinese bring food for their deads . They do other rituals accdg. to their faith & beliefs .
Lighting candles and Prayers
Lighting candles and saying prayers are done by some but not all. It is because of differences in faith and beliefs.
There maybe other things that other people do in celebrating All Saints Day, but what I gave sited are the common practices Observed. Rural and Urban areas may differ in some ways but still it is all about commemorating the death of their dearest loved ones.
How Pandemic Affected the Commemoration of the Deceased Loved Ones
Its been two years that pandemic situation affected the commemoration of the Deceased loved ones. The strict health protocols made by government authorities were implemented in cemeteries. Only few were able to visit their deceased loved ones then. Anyone should be vaccinated before they would enter the premises of the Cemetery. And only a limited number of people could enter in a day.
Lately , there were announcement made in urban areas that strict health protocols will be observed. But as far as here in our place it is not so. Wearing facemasks is still a must.
How I Commemorate Our Deceased Loved Ones
Last October 28, 2022 , I and my younger sister with her husband and son, went to the cemetery to visit our deceased loved ones, four of them buried in the same cemetery .
We brought our personally made bouquet of flowers that I picked from our mini garden and candles. We also brought our cleaning materials for we are going to clean the place.
When we finished the cleaning and placed the flowers and lighted the candle for few minutes we headed back home.
We just lighted the candles but not prayed for their souls . It is because our prayers for them were made when they are still alive . I have done my part of sharing to them the gospel of salvation how they could avail it accdg. to the teachings of the Bible while still they have their breath in them .
Celebration & Commemoration
We may all differ in celebration of All Saints Day & in Commemoration of our deceased loved ones but it's the thought that counts in doing it for our deceased loved ones. We may expressed it in different manners , but the important thing is , we give our deceased loved ones the due respect of their remains as we celebrate All Saints Day and Commemorate their death.

Remembering My Departed Loved Ones
The month of October is nearing to its end. And like many others I became aware of the yearly celebration of All Saints Day , were we are commemorating our Departed loved ones or Deceased loved ones.
I thought then, it is relevant these days to write something about my departed or Deceased loved ones .
Beside this, I often dreamed of them for the last few days. I usually dreamed of my deceased loved ones . And this was always the case with me that whenever I dreamed one of them , one after another I got sick. I just don't know why, if it was just a coincidence or what . I was sick lately and I thank God , by His grace , mercy and loving kindness I was healed and has recovered.
I thought that I , my son and nephew was sick of flu but then I learned that most of us in the neighborhood suffered with it but was healed too.
What Sickness Meant To Me
Sickness meant that our body's immune system and body resistance becomes weak , that cause us to be susceptible to bacteria or virus that cause sickness.
Sickness nowadays are really inevitable , due to constant change of weather conditions. No matter what the age of the person is , anyone becomes a victim of any kind of sickness anywhere in this vast world that we live in.
Sickness is one of the saddest experience that could happen to anyone in this world .When you are sick you are deprived of many things to be enjoyed in this life that a healthy person usually enjoyed. Whether your sickness is just common , one way or another you are missing out something in your life. Much more when your sickness cause you to be bed ridden for a long time .
Sickness could also mean, one of the path that leads to death. There are other means or other causes that people died, But I think the mortality rate is commonly caused by sickness.
Caused of Death of my Departed Loved Ones
Most of my deceased loved ones died due to sickness. They suffered with the kind of sickness that they had .
My Father
My father died at the age of 87 yrs. old. He was hospitalized but he preferred to be taken cared of at the house instead of being in the hospital. And so he was brought home. I was one of those who took care of him . He was bed ridden , in dextrose and with oxygen. During the time of his sickness and taking time to care for him, I, as well as my mother and siblings, were able to prepare our hearts , for such a time or day that he will depart from us. So when the time of my father's death comes , though it was painful, yet we were able to cope up with it. It was easier for us to accept his departure.
My father died of emphyzema on July 2004. And this might have been caused by the second hand smoke, because my father didn't ever smoke during his lifetime. He was actually always in a mahjong session with friends and neighborhood during his days. And most of his companions in playing mahjong were smoking.
My Second Eldest Sister
My second Eldest sister were able to visit see my father still alive , before she went abroad to New Zealand on month of June, 2004, a month before the death of my father . My second Eldest sister were petitioned by her son who work and reside there with family.
Come October 2004, just 3 mos. after the death of my father we were informed that she died. We learned that she had an high blood attack that damaged her brain that caused her to be in a coma and died later. Her corpse were brought back here in the Philippines and she was buried here in her husband's province in Pampanga . We were able to attend to her wake, but I was noth able to be there during her internment.
My Fourth Eldest Sister
She was a single lady and was diagnosed to have lupous. I was the one who also took care of her for I am the only sister who is available to do it for her. My husband, my second son and me went home to the province to join my aged mother, my fourth Eldest sister who is sick at that time, and my youngest PWD sister. That was October 2008, when we settled in the province . And since that time I took care of my aged mother, my sick sister and my PWD sister . My Fourth Eldest sister died , February 14, 2009 at the age of almost 60 . I only took care of her for four months. After her death , I continued to stay with my aged mother and PWD sister, with my husband and second son.
My Aged Mother
I stayed & took care my aged mother Oct. 2008. My aged mother was 86 yrs. old at that time. But as time goes on and she became older, she became weak and had no appetite to eat , making her more weaker. in such condition of being bed ridden, she herself was prepared to die, and I also prepared myself for that very day as I took care of her daily .
I still remember the event before she died. I didn't know that it was her last meal . I prepared a stewed dish for her. She ate but just so little, so I just decided to just go back again to feed her. I left the food beside her and cover it with a cloth napkin before I left her room. I feel so sleepy at that time. When I woke up to feed her again, I noticed the cloth napkin on the floor and the mug with the spoon on a chair beside her. I go near my mother to wake her up. But she did not respond to me. I call my younger brother to check my mother too, for I doubted myself and wanted to confirm my doubts. My brother felt her pulse in wrist and neck and he said she is already dead. But as I feel my mother's body it was still warm but his feet up to her limbs were cold. We just took our cool and didn't panic. As I looked at my mother's face she was at peace. Her both hands were folded over her chest . As if she has prepared herself to it. I covered her with a blanket then.
Before I left her room , I took the time to get the mug in the chair beside her. It's the time that I noticed that the food I was going to feed her were all gone. There arose a question in my mind, how come it is gone. If a cat have eaten it then the mug must have fallen as well as the spoon. But then it was all intact in the same place. So it really puzzled me a lot. I was thinking then, did my mother rise up herself and ate it? Up to now I can't know the answer and it really puzzled me .
I just have to end in this story for the meantime. And will just share to you some other time the others. What I will just say that it's been a blessing for me to be with my loved ones on their remaining days in their lives to have the chance to take care of them to make them feel loved and taken cared of. I had the chance to share to them the gospel of salvation while I can still talk to them and let them understand and decide to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. The very hope that anyone could have after death. That there is a life hereafter that will be spend in the presence of God and Saviour Jesus Christ in heaven, which is the best place of joy , peace and comfort. No more sickness, no more pain , no more hunger nor thirst, but truly rest in peace, because of God's presence.
Their remains were left here on earth, on the burial place we call cemetery, but their soul rest in peace with God in heaven.
And with due respect to the remains of my Departed loved ones my younger & I planned a visit to the cemetery.
Yesterday morning I picked the flowers in our mini garden. I gave it to my younger sister fir her to prepare a boquette.
With her husband who drove for us with their tricycle, and with his son we cleaned the burial place.
After cleaning we put the bouquet of flowers and my sister lighted a candle.
I just hope you too would remember to visit the remains of your departed Loved ones on or before Nov. 1.

You won't know the real pain not unless you experienced it
I am consistently receiving messages from a childhood friend . Most of which are greetings, chain letters, and quotes .
Just recently, she confessed to me that she was experiencing a painful situation physically. According to her it's been four months now that she can't walk . She got a problem with the bones on her hips. I just don't know it was related to her diabetes. She can sit with some helps from her husband or grandchildren but walking is a hard thing for her to do.
As a friend I feel it necessary to encourage her to hope in God and trust God for her healing. For I believe what is impossible with men is possible with God. I told her she and family will be in my prayers, which I did as I promised.
Lately, last Friday night , I started to feel slight pains in my shoulders joints and muscles. And I thought of giving myself some rest from works that I used to do in the households.
Come Saturday night , the slightly pain in my shoulders run down to my back, hips and feet and hands. It was 8 pm already , that I decided to take a pain reliever. Because I have nothing on hand I went to my sister's house to ask for some. I knocked on her window's room but there was no answer.
As I went back to the house , I saw the owner of the store is still awake having a conversation with one of our neighbor. I grab the opportunity to ask her if she has a pain reliever medicine . As she took the medicine I went inside the house to get money.
Our back gate was already locked , and it's key was in my sister hand. On the other hand the gate of the store was already locked too . And so our neighbor who is on the outside became our meddle person between us two to have the medicine .
I took the medicine that night, praying to God that it would help me ease the pain I am suffering.
It's Sunday morning, supposed to be I would attend the Worship Service. Since I am not feeling well yesterday, Saturday, I told my brethren in the faith who usually fetch me, that I could not be able to come.
That Sunday morning, muscles pain was gone , but the joints pain in my feet, knees , hands and hips stayed. It was still painful and I have to walk slowly . At such time of experiencing it , I remember my childhood friend who is suffering from bone problem in her hips that cause her to unable to walk. Now I know how it feels, and how my mobility is affected much.
I asked my son to buy me Alaxan , to relieve me of my joints pain. I took one pill that morning. And inhale steam with vinegar to relieve my head ache.
It's Monday morning, I don't have headache anymore. But I think I still need to take Alaxan, because of the persistent joint pains that I have.
I am not just sure what triggers my joint pains. I think I need to be extra careful in what I eat . And not to get myself over fatigue.
Now that I am a senior, health must be my first priority to enjoy my remaining days with family. May God grant me His loving kindness and graciousness to still keep me healthy and strong.

What Made My Present Different From The Past
Memories of the past and pondering upon it, would lead us to realized what are the differences that would make us aware of the advantage and disadvantage of the situations in life we've gone through. So I will take you first in the journey I had in the past.
Looking Back (Throw Back Scenario)
Throw Back Scenario - Jan 2019 - April 2020 ( Spent in Caloocan City)
These days were spent with my firstborn daughter, and her family. I joined them upon the request of my daughter , for she will be giving birth to her second child. She is a working mom, so she needed someone to take care of her children , when she goes back to work after her maternity leave.
Beside being a baby sitter of my two grandchildren, doing household chores, I worked in the store manage by my son-in-law. We switched each other's time to spend in the house and in the store.
I registered in noise. cash app upon my daughter's persuasion. Since it was pandemic , the store being closed and the family was in Bicol, I had much time in noise. cash .
Throw Back Scenario - May 2020 - April 2022 ( Spent in Pasay City)
When pandemic situation came , my daughter and family rushed to travel going to her husband's province , Bicol . I lived then with my youngest son family, in Pasay City.
My days were spent here inside the room being rented by the family. Being a senior at that time is not allowed to go out because of the health protocols implemented nationwide.
Being with them I helped in taking care of two grand children . Besides baby sitting , I do the cooking for them and cleaning the room. I only washed my own clothes and not allowed to wash their clothes.
Throw back scenario - May 4, 2022 (From the City to the Province)
I finally decided to go back to my hometown, Nueva Ecija, when travel restrictions were not strictly implemented. I had the opportunity to observe my rights to vote.
My Present Situation
***Put Up a mini Store***
Having back to my hometown province, I was reunited with my second son, who is a bachelor. He was my only companion in the house. He is the one I am supporting, at present as well as when he did not have the means to earn for a living since pandemic and even up to now. Instead of vending in front of the school with school supplies and toys , now we put up our school supplies store , making use of the terrace of the house as store not only for school supplies but as well as for Second Hand items Store. I have decided this to do, so as we could have additional income as budget for our needs.
***Full Time House Keeper***
This time I have to do all the household tasks of cooking, cleaning the the house and it's surroundings, laundry, taking care of plants and pet cats, and other tasks which is necessary to be done.
***Cooking*** - I cooked for myself and my son only. Since I have just a low SSS pension which is not sufficient to meet our needs, I have to do something as alternatives to save and not be in debt .
Necessary Things Done
Using Firewoods in Cooking
We had a gas stove but having money to buy an LPG is what we can't afford. So my alternative was to use firewood in cooking. In the past , we also use firewood when we ran out of LPG. We had a dirty kitchen outside the house , wherein to cook our food and boil water.
Sources of Firewood
There's no problem with firewoods for we had enough and is available in the backyard. Only I have to cut branches of trees or asked somebody do it for me and just pay a little amount upon negotiation.
So cutting branches of trees , or picking up dried branches of trees that fall from trees in the backyard was one of my routine. I make use of Branches of coconuts that falls and even the coconut husks and coconut shells. Whenever I peel the coconut being harvested in the backyard I collect the coconut husks and used as a firewood. And whenever I grated the coconut meat, I also collect the coconut shell to be used as firewood. They are very good firewood for they are burned easily. I have to see to it that there are lots of firewood reserved to be used for I used it daily.
Setting Cooking Time
I usually limit my time in cooking so as I can have other things to accomplish within a day, for there are lots of things to do and be taken cared of . I only cook once in a day. I should finish cooking before lunch, everything that needs to be cooked .
When I was in the kitchen outside, I must cook our food for breakfast, lunch and supper. The food that should be cooked must be eaten or consumed on that day. Since we are only two, and with such a limited budget, i have to do it.
Boiling Water
Boiled Water for drinking purposes
One of the blessings enjoyed living in the province is the unlimited supply of water. We had an artesian well, wherein we get the supply of water to be use.
Our drinking water needs to be boiled first for safety purposes , because of ferrous or rust in it. I have to make this an option to cut off additional expenses instead of buying filtered water. I have to boil water daily for daily consumption.
Boiled Water for Bath Purpose
I usually take a bath in the evening before sleeping. So I need a warm water when taking a bath. I made it a point that I have already enough rest after doing many tasks in a day, before taking a bath.
Beside having boiled water for bath for myself, I also give my PWD sister her warm bath. As scheduled , I would give her a bath. She lived with My younger sister, who is my neighbor . In order that I can be of help to her we both decide that I should give our PWD sister a bath and washed her clothes too, while she will be taking care of cooking her food and other needs of our PWD sister.
***Cleaning The House***
Compared to where I lived in the city before with my eldest daughter & her family, and my youngest son and his family, who only occupied a rented room, my parent's house where my son and I lived is much bigger. I have to clean it anytime of the week as frequently as much as possible.
***Cleaning the Surroundings***
Cleaning the surroundings is inevitable for we have lots of trees in the surroundings. In front of the house we had a big lanite tree that leaves fell and flowers fell. Beside it we have lots of small trees used as posts for our fence that easily sprout small branches that needs to be trimmed once it has grown.
Beside it, the canal in front of the house and the canal at the side of the house need to be clean constantly. The canal on the side of the house is not cemented so grasses grows into it that needs to be rooted up so as water can flow easily. Besides the grasses that grows, some passers by throw lots of different plastic food wrappers , plastic cups etc. They shamedfully do those things without regard to cleanliness of the surroundings
***Watering the Plants and Veggies***
Besides the existing plants when I arrived in my hometown , I find it fascinating to plant other flowering plants and added some veggies. Since it was rainy season , it's not so much a burden to water the plants and veggies. But if ever for consecutive days it had not rained, I have to water the plants and veggies. I used the small plastic container in fetching water so as it was not so difficult for me to carry .
The Result or Effect of the Differences
Comparing my previous experiences living in the city and now in the province has really lots of differences. But those differences though quite much difficult , I was thankful to God that He enabled me to cope up with it .
In fact , being back to my hometown province gave me a lot of advantages with regards to my health. Though how busy I am doing such full time household tasks , yet I found myself stronger than when I am in the city doing less work. I suffered body aches because of lack of mobility. I hardly walk because the joints on my knees were painful. My muscles was in pain as they were not much used and stretched.
At my age, though being a senior, my body seeks something to do and be busy of. I find myself weak when doing nothing. But I am not abusing myself in working. I do not go more than my limit for that would be unreasonable & unhealthy practice. I know how to limit myself for my health sake. I see to it that I get enough rest and sleep, take my medicine and vitamins and of course stop working to give time eat when I feel I hungry and stay hydrated. I am very aware that my health is my wealth.

There is only one Book that is considered to be the most reliable one , to believe the facts about creation. The Book is none other than the Bible. It records about the Beginnings, the past, present , future and the end and even eternity.
***They were created before Adam & Eve***
**In** the book of Genesis , which is called the Book of Beginnings, states that animals and plants were created first before Adam & Eve .
On the third day , all kinds of plants were created ( Genesis 1: 11,12)
On the sixth day , all kinds of animals were created. ( Genesis 1 : 20-25)
***As God spoke the word, they were created as they are and God saw they are good . God blessed them to multiply after its kind.***
***Adam, the first man, was given the dominion over the animals. ( Genesis 1:26)***
***Adam gave the names of the animals. (Genesis 2:20)***
***Adam was told by God to feed himself as well as the animals with the fruit trees and herbs .***
In Book of Leviticus
Animals are used as offerings to God for the forgiveness of sins. Animals that are firstlings and no blemishes or injury are only to be offered .

The birds & lilies of the field
Jesus Christ site the example of the birds and the lilies of the field . How that God feed the birds who do not work to have foods to eat, and the lilies of the field who cannot take care of itself but God takes care and clothe with such beauties that we can see. (Matt. 6:25-33)
***Truths to Learn***
We should not worry but to have faith in God that He will provide our needs for foods , drinks and clothes.
We should give God the priority in worshipping Him first and do what will please and glorify Him, more than our desires and wants for our comfort and ease or enjoyment. God deserved our worship for He is our Creator, for without Him we are nothing and can do nothing .

Jesus Christ talks about how hen gather her brood under her wings to protect from harm.
***Truths to Learn***
Jesus Christ came as God sent Saviour , for people have sinned and is separated from God and is condemned to hell. (John 3:16-18). But the Jews being the God chosen people , didn't believe in Him. He lived in this earth preaching, teachings about the kingdom of God, heal the sick, casting out demons and doing many miracles to show that He is the God sent One, to gather them, being God chosen people but they rejected Him.( John 1:11)
For the meantime , I have to end to this two examples . I have to take my time to look into other examples . I just hope you will look forward into it .
Plants and animals are interesting creatures that God allows us to have, to enjoy their existence as well as to learn from them. They existed for good reason and purpose in our lives. When we do appreciate them means we are also appreciating the One who created them.

My Cooking Activities for Today
As long as we eat , cooking food daily is inevitable . And as a woman, it is a must to know how to cook, even the simplest menu .
Today, I cooked sweetened monggo, Maja Blanca and stringbeans with jute , cooked in coconut milk , & ginger and added sweet and spicy shrimp paste to add flavors into it .
My Preparations
Cleaning the firewood stove
I take out all the ashes and charcoal that was left from cooking food yesterday from the firewood stove . Placing it in a plastic container and later to be dump in the backyard.
Soaking the monggo seeds in water for easier cooking
Cleaning the caserole to be used in boiling the monggo.
Cooking in firewood is messy because it makes the cooking utensils accumulate carbon that sticks in it, making it to look black . Continuously using it in cooking without cleaning it at once, the carbon thickens on the outside of the cooking utensils.
Since I have not cleaned it many days, I decided to clean it first before using. Before cleaning it I first soaked the monggo seed in water to make it easy to be cooked. So as I was cleaning the casserole the monggo is soaked in water. I think it took me an hour in scrubbing the thickened carbon, till it was eradicated.
Cleaning the casserole using charcoal directly scrubbing it on the surface of the casserole is a lot more effective than scrubbing it with ashes combined with rough leaves we called isis.
When I finished cleaning the casserole I prepared the firewood stove putting in firewoods to be burned to start cooking.
While on the process of boiling the monggo, I started to peel 2 pcs. of coconut to be used in cooking veggies with coconut milk.
When the monggo was already cooked, I put some sugar in it to sweetened it. Then I let it boil till the sugar melts and thickened. While I waited it to be thickened for it will take minutes, I grated the 2 pcs. Coconut , extract it to get the coconut milk to be used in veggies and in Maja Blanca. I set it aside after extracting it from the coconut.
Since my veggies were not yet prepared , I have to keep the fire burning . I thought of boiling water to be used for bath while preparing the veggies. I used the small kettle in which its content match to fill in our thermos.
When the water boils my veggies were ready for cooking. I pour the second extract of coconut milk in a frying pan , with the sweet and spicy shrimp paste and put in into a boil. When it boils I first put the string beans. When it is half cooked I placed the jute leaves and ginger, bring into a boil until the first extract was absorbed by the veggies. Then I poured the first extract of coconut milk and bring to a boil again till the veggies were fully cooked and the coconut milk thickens. This veggies which I cooked will be good for my lunch and supper.
While on the process of cooking the veggies I am preparing for Maja Blanca to be cooked. I reserved some amount of the first coconut milk extract for it .
Cooking Maja Blanca
I bring to boil the mixture of water , sugar and margarine in a casserole. When it was boiling I poured little by little the mixture of cornstarch , sugar and coconut milk, stirring it continuously to make it smoothly cooked. When the desired consistency is met , I poured it in a plate.
There should be latik on top but I forgot to set aside some amount yesterday, when I cooked palitao sa latik yesterday .
This will be be for our afternoon merienda today.
Cooking in firewood is difficult for you have to keep the firewood burning. And to keep the firewood burning you have to put firewood again and again when it is consumed. So far constantly cooking in firewood ever since I was back here in the province , I learned some techniques to make it more easier to cook. And discovered lately that charcoal being used to eradicate carbon that thickens on cooking utensils is more effective than using ashes and isis leaves.
I finally finished all the cooking before lunch at twelve. I just have biscuits for breakfast and my son the sweetened monggo. And veggies for lunch and supper and Maja for afternoon merienda .
And so the remaining hours in the afternoon was for my rest and nap and for my earning apps.
To my readers who lived in the province can easily relate to me. while those who lived in the city and those who are financially blessed can somehow lead you not to complain for you have some basic comforts in life to enjoy .
As for me, though province life is difficult, yet there are things that I fully enjoyed here. The simplicity of life here , is less stressful . The situations being faced here is easy to cope up with .
As a senior , life in the province is more suitable for me. I have lived long enough in the city , on my younger days, enjoyed what to be enjoyed there while studying and even during my working days.
In everything in life, you have to use your time wisely in every opportunity you have and every situation you face. Life is to be lived to its best and to the fullest so that there will be no regrets thereafter.
Life then , can be likened to cooking. Make use of what you have and available .Cook what you can only afford. Learn from your experiences and discover for yourself how you can improve and aim for the best that you can enjoy the result of your accomplishments and be satisfied in it.
Anyway, I hope you find cooking an enjoyable task each day and not a burden.Enjoy cooking and enjoy eating what you cook to stay healthy and strong.

My Amarillo Plant Story

I was fascinated by the beauty and color of the flower of Amarillo plant of one of my neighbor. She has lots of Amarillo plant in front of her store. It bears lots of yellow orange flowers and was so nice to look at.
So when I went to buy something in her store, I requested her to give me some of her Amarillo plants. She did not deny my request, in fact she was happy to give me lots. She told me the Amarillo plants are just easy to grow and to care.
I planted it in the space outside our fence in front of the house. I think I had 10 seedlings of it that I planted before it wilts. Since it was rainy season the plants didn't die but grow faster and healthy.
The First Flower
After a month the Amarillo plants has grown bigger and has lot of branches. Out of the ten , one of them bears lots of flower buds. I was happy seeing it that way . Among the buds one of it bloom into flower. It was the first flower. It was yellow orange in color. I was happy seeing it and get excited and took a photo of it.
Then one day the flower has gone, somebody pick it. Disappointment struck me but I just console myself because in that same plant there are yet coming flowers to bloom just only have to wait for few days. So the time came and the Amarillo plant flower buds bloom. There were five of them.
The Second Set of Flowers
I was so happy that though the first flower was picked by someone I do not know who it was, was replaced by five pcs. of flowers.
One Flower Missing
This morning Oct. 3, Monday, I woke up early. As I peep outside the window , I saw the sky was dark , a sign that rain is coming. Since it was not raining yet, I go outside and unlocked our gate . I went outside the gate to check on my Amarillo plant which had five flowers in bloom yesterday. I counted the flowers and it was only four now. Somebody has pick one flower. I thought I have made myself clear to the kids around our place.
I really can't understand why that somebody need to pick it, and not just be contented seeing the beauty of flowers in bloom and always fresh , than pick it and let it wilt. And why do it on my plant and not on theirs. How I wish plants can talk and can shout and ask help if someone try to pick her. Or if only plants can talk I think it will scold the one who pick it and just play with it .
So seeing the flowers not complete disappoint me for the second time around.
My Consolations
Flower buds on the remaining Amarillo plants are showing up on its stems . There are lots of them, and I just hope that when they all bloom they will not be pick by kids. And when they all bloom I will just took photos of it, as my Consolations and remembrance of their beau
Flowers of Amarillo plants lasts for many days or weeks before it wilts and fall on the ground to propagate again. But and if it will be pick at once I had no more flowers to cheer me up to greet me every morning as I will visit.
My Lessons Learned
Flowering plants in the surroundings makes the place lovelier to look at . They decorate the surroundings with their beautiful colors . They give a feeling of more satisfaction than disappointment. Though their beauties passed for a moment yet they will not leave you comfortless for at the right time with you tender loving care to them flowers will sprung up again to cheer you up and beautify your surroundings all over again.
Beauty of flowers are truly irresistible, and I can't blame the kids to pick it , to handle it with joy for a moment. It's nice to experience that plants are not denying us of having more of their flowers one after another to enjoy .
Though kids could pick flowers of my plants, I think that would not hinder me to plant and care for flowering plants. It gives me more pleasure , and excitement rather than disappointments. I may feel disappointed but I just don't let it overwhelms me.
I shall be sharing my photos in the coming days as some of my flowering plants , as simple as they are shows their beauties.
I shall feature each of them here in my community.

Animal Pets that Had a Part in our Family
I was born in a province, in a big family of a dozen in all. I am the seventh child . I spent my early childhood days in the province.
My Father's Animal Pet
My father owned a male horse for he was a tranter "kutsero". During those time the means of transportation only was a wooden wagon or cart we called "karitela" . It has two big wheels attached to it. It has a long handle on both sides as long as the lenght of the horse , because the horse is being tied to it , so as he can pull the wooden wagon or wooden cart. Only two to three persons can ride into it or a maximum of four including the kutsero or tranter. "Kutsero" is like a driver we call today . He guides the horse where to go using a bridle attached to its mouth. The bridle is used by the kutsero to control the speed of the horse while running , or to control to stop running. When needed to make the horse run faster the kutsero used a cord to whip the butt of the horse. I remember all those things that my father did as a kutsero . My father being a kutsero is one of his means to have additional income to support our big family. Though he was a US Veteran pensioner and owned a 3 hectar farmland or ricefields yet as big as our family was additional income was needed for from eldest to the eight child , are schooling .
My father took care of the horse by feeding it with grass we called "sakati" and "pulot". My brothers were the ones who looks for "sakati" in the fields nearby. They ought to gather as much as possible they could , for the horse eat much. Though we have lots of rice, veggies and fruits to eat, finances are still needed to meet other family needs like clothings, school supplies and grocery goods.
My Mother's Pet Animals
Since our residential lot was big, there was enough space for hens, ducks and pigs. The horse of my father had a definite stall. The hens and ducks as well and even the pigs. My mother with the help of my older brothers and sisters helped in taking care of those animals . Laid eggs of ducks and hens are for household consumptions. Some hens and hens were sold to have some money.Hens are only for food consumption when there are occasions or celebrations and when there are visitors from city, visiting our place, either classmate friends of my older sisters who were studying in the city. The pigs when giving birth to piglets , some were sold, others remained to take care purposely to have meat to cook during fiesta celebrations. Foods for my mother animal pets was not so much a problem , for there are available food options to feed them .
Our Firstborn Sister
My firstborn sister animal pets were dogs and cats. Among my siblings she is a pet lover. She has three pet dogs of which the names given were accdg. to their colors. The one she named Whitey, for it is white, the other one, is Brownie for it is brown and the last one was Blackie, for it is black. The dogs just stayed in our premises. I also played with them for they seemed to be harmless. They just stayed downstairs for our house had steep stairs. Cats only goes up.
Our only one bird pet
I just don't remember exactly whose pet is the bird. We called it Martines. The color is black . And the bird talks , for they taught them to talk. The bird talks in Ilocano for my parents speaks Ilocano. It was free to roam around the house , so it becomes the cat's prey.
A Carabao
We also had a Carabao, but it was being taken cared of in our farmland by a relative who works in our ricefield.
Being the Seventh Child - That's Me
So far these are but all that I can remember about our animals pets. I was so well aware of their existence in our home, but that didn't make me to be lover of pets like my sister. When we the younger ones that time , grew older only few of our siblings had passion for taking care of pets.
My Tenth Sibling
One of my brother had pet doves. He was able to raise many doves. He sold them others were given for free to friends. He had also hens, and ducks . But when he died he left it all in the care of my younger sister .
My Ninth sibling and family.
They continued taking care of the pets left by our tenth sibling, till they produce more. They sold some and others were for household consumption.
There were only a pair of dove left as of now. They remained because they cannot be caught to be sold. They just stayed at the rooftop and still survived on their own.
People come and go in this life, so with the animal pets. But times spent with each other still remains in my heart and memories. Though I am not a pet lover I had experienced some fun, excitement and learned something from animal pets. Somehow they left something in me that I can ponder upon as part of our family memories of my early childhood days.

Coping up in Life's Situations
Life's situations in this world may differ from person to person but the bottom line based on our nature as human beings are the same. We are uniquely created from each other, but we are all the same imperfect beings . We came into this world with nothing in our hands and will leave this world with nothing too, to carry in our hands . We are stewards of everything we have and what God will allow us to have.
WE ALL HAVE LIFE TO LIVE
One of the greatest blessing we have in this world is the life to live with this human flesh . We possessed God given abilities and capabilities in order for us to live and enjoy life to the fullest as God allow us to live. We have our own family to live with.
WE ALL HAVE THE SAME NEEDS TO MEET
The basic needs of men are food , clothing and shelter to survive in this world. All other things are just wants or desires of men for comfort, ease , and satisfaction of the flesh.
FACTORS THAT CAUSES OUR DIFFERENCES IN LIFE'S SITUATIONS
Choice and decision
The kind of life we live is one's own choice. No one is to be blame when you choose to listen to advice, suggestion, opinions of others . Such persuasion leading to your own decision is still your own decision and will be responsible for it.
Preference
We have individual differences, and it will only means having individual preferences. Individual differences such as physical characteristics, mental abilities, talents, personality & behaviour, family upbringing, and spiritual beliefs . Such individual differences affects our preferences in all aspects of our lives.
REALITIES IN LIFE TO FACE
Whatever choice, decision, or preference we have in life, we all human being will face the same realities in life , for we are all the same in nature. We are all imperfect beings, with limitations.
FAILURES
We must accept the fact that we do not know everything but we have the ability to learn in order to know something but still not everything, because we are limited at some extent. Being aware of this fact, failures and committing mistakes are inevitable.
To cope up with failures accept and learn from it , but never give up in trying in order to gain success. Make your failures your challenge and motivation to keep going. No one ever gain success at once by not having some failures before.
FEAR
Fear is a natural feeling of humans. But never let fear overwhelms you. Fear can hinder you from taking a step towards the fulfillment of your dreams.
Our fears usually emanates from doubts, from feelings of uncertainties and insecurities and from threats and risks that exists or possible to take .
To cope up with your fear, make your fear an advantage and not a disadvantage. Fear can be advantageous if it will make you cautious , alert, and be wise in your choice, decision and preference. Make your fear leads you to do things for your great advantage and welfare, during times of emergencies and natural disaster .
There is only One and above all to whom we can go for refuge, strenght and help, and that is God. Bring our fears caused by our doubts, feeling of insecurities and uncertainties, threats that exists and possible risks to take to God, in His throne of grace. Make ourselves avail of God's grace which is sufficient for us, and of His loving kindness. He will not deny us for He loves us so much and a Father into us who is willing to give the best for His children and looks after the welfare of each and everyone who humbly comes to Him in faith, trust and in full dependence.
Never fear when you put wholly your faith and trust in God , in whom you believe is always with you and will help you. Never fear when you prayed to God for guidance, direction, protection and wisdom. Never fear when you know you are doing the right thing.
FINANCIAL NEEDS
We lived in this material world, wherein money is one of the important means to earn for a living, to meet not only the basic physical needs namely food, clothing and shelter, health, educational needs as well as the wants and desires for comfort, ease and satisfaction in life.
To cope up with such needs, we need to work hard, using the abilities and capabilities we had. Every human being I believe God, has given not only abilities and capabilities but also have given talents, whereby can be used to earn for a living. There are people who are physically handicapped but is able to earn a living by their God given talent. And there can be no reason or excuse for a physically normal person who is capable to earn for a living to have such excuse to beg .
FUTURE
We all care about our present more so about our future. We plan ahead and carefully personally and for family for our future . We all want our future to be secured. We work hard at the present not only to meet the present needs , but also for the future, if possible. We try to have some savings for present needs as well as for the future if possible.
To cope up to this reality life situation, we are to be discipline in ourselves in managing or handling money. We also need to guard ourselves in maintaining a healthy living. We ought to do the possible things that we can do as our part and let God do the impossible things for us. We ought to maintain the faith , belief and full trust in God, to whom we owe our life and everything . Our future will surely be safe , secured and at its best according to His will.
There are other things you might as well add to these things that I mentioned but I have to end at this.

Taking Heed to Warnings is Necessary
My province, Nueva Ecija , being in the Northern part of the Philippines, usually experiences typhoon every year. And typhoons are usually experienced from month of April to December.
Last month of May, this year I came home to our province after staying almost three years in Metro Manila. Since it was a rainy or wet season we experienced lots of rainfalls monthly.
But recently , we had experienced a typhoon. Among the Northern part of Luzon that was hit by the typhoon included our place, Nueva Ecija.
NDRRMC Alert Notification
Sept. 25, 2022 - Sunday , my son's cell phone alarmed, and it was the NDRRMC Alert Notification about the coming typhoon. I was preparing myself then in going to our worship place, at about 5 am in the morning.
The notification said that the typhoon coming was signal no. 3 and we are adviced to take some precautions. And the typhoon will be coming at about 18 hours from the time of notification.
At that Sunday morning the sun was still shining until in the afternoon. Assuming the warning was a serious matter to take into consideration ,after my nap in the afternoon I decided to prepare.
My Preparation for the coming typhoon
First of all, my concern was my Ukay Ukay & School Supplies for Sale, which I displayed in our terrace. I converted our terrace into a store so as I could have a source of income .
I take all the hanging clothes displayed on the terrace grills, and the school supplies items too, and placed it inside the house and others on my bedroom closet.
Then I secured to cover the terrace grills with canvas.
I also took the canvass covering of our pedicab. This is to ensure that our pedicab will not tumble down like the previous typhoon experienced, when we did not take out the cover of it, the strong wind tumbled it down.
Then , remembering our rechargeable lamp and power bank we charged it, while there is still power supply available.
Before it gets dark , I was able to finish what I though needed to do. It started to rain but there was not yet strong wind experienced. But by the time we are to eat our supper , there was already the power outage. So we ate supper using the rechargeable lamp.
I went to bed early that night. To put myself to sleep I listened to music, but stopped it to conserve the battery.
Prayers , Part of my preparation
I personally believe to whom prayer was to be addressed to. It is to the True and Living God. I believe He listens to every prayer that anyone will be uttered to Him. And I am very confident that He will hear my prayer.
So before going to sleep I prayed to God earnestly to keep us safe. Everyone of us in our community. At that moment, as the storm passes by, I hardly can sleep, though my eyes were closed yet my mind was so awake. Every whip of a strong winds on the roof top, on every tree, and on the canvass, I heard it all. I even get up and checked on it. There was no much rain but only strong winds . Because of silence around , only the sounds made by the rushing strong wind was heard.
I felt my heart beats fast and I have to make such accupressure on my little finger right and left to calm it and it works . Prayers at that moment subsides my fears created by my mind. Prayers made me strong and comforted till I was able to sleep with calmness as the storm passes by . My confidence in God to whom I prayed calm the strom within me as the Storm is raging outside .
The strong wind started I think at 10 pm Sunday up to 2 am Monday. Thank God it didn't persisted long but it ceased and was gone.
We were able to see a bright new sunny morning that very Monday morning. Thank God we are all safe. The power supply were made available for us just today Tuesday.
My Closing Remarks
I am glad I take heed to the warnings given by the NDRRMC by making such preparations as needed.
Though the canvass was taken away by the strong wind, it just slipped covering the metal shelf . The side car was not overturned because I was able to take out the canvass covering of it. We had light throughout the night because if the rechargeable lamp. We were also able to use the power bank to recharge it when drained.
I had no more worries with regards to our rooftop gutters for I was able to have someone cleaned it and the tree in front of the house was already trimmed . I had previously aimed to work it out for I knew it's time or season that our place is being visited by typhoon . I thanked God that He provided the means to be worked it out at the right time.

Instinctive Actions of Pets
Many people here in our neighborhood have pets. Mostly owned pet dogs, others hen, rooster and ducks and others cats.
In front of our house they have three dogs, all local dogs. On the right side they have three dogs as well, one was local and the other two has foreign breeds. At the back of our house , which was my sister's house , they have hen and ducks. We are in the same compound and so their hen and ducks and even cats go to our place. On a distant on the other front side of the road one of our neighbor owned a big cat. And another adjacent to my sister's house owned a rooster.
Other neighbors from a distance have also their dog pets. One of my neighbor had their dog pet chained at their gate. It was not allowed to roam around the place. I have known that they have a dog when one day I have visited their place for I was invited to come into their compound. I just knew it when suddenly it barked when I entered their premises. The chain was too short to reach me as I enter, I was just surprised , and feared at his bark.
I will be sharing then how these neighbor's pet affects my daily living and our own pet cats.
The Dogs In Front of Our House
The pet dogs in front of our house were allowed to roam around in the place near their house which was also in front of the house . They were tamed dogs. They do not attack people. They only attack other dogs which passes by . They will not stop barking and chasing the dog that passes by until it was driven away from our place.
What was annoying about these dogs was their barks during the night when everyone was asleep. I was usually awaken by their barks in the middle of the night, that I can hardly go back to sleep.
Another annoying thing was they poop in front of our gate or on the middle of the road which is part of the front of the house. The owner just don't make an effort to cover it with dust or sand and sweep. They just don't care about it.
The Dogs on the Right side of our House
The local pet dog of the owner on the right side of our house do also poop on the street beside our house for our house was located along the main road and side street.
The only difference between the owner of the pet dog was their attitude. The owner of the pet dogs on the right side clean the poop on the street while the other is not. Beside their dogs with breed just stayed inside their premises.
The Pets of My sister Neighbor
The cats we have and my sister 's cats were siblings do they were friends. The mother cat and one sibling stays with us while the other siblings stayed with my sister.
The ducks seldom go to our place to look for some food around . They messed up the surroundings in looking for food.
The hen with the rooster of one of our neighbor come often in our place specifically in the plantbox for almost a week daily. It was because the hen is laying her eggs in the plantbox and the rooster keep on watch whenever the hen lay her eggs. When the hen had laid ten eggs , my sister decided to take the 10 pcs. eggs. My sister gave me 4 pcs. eggs as my share. Accdg. to her she will not let it be hatched for there are still little chicks to be taken cared of. Just then the hen stopped coming to the plantbox when her eggs were gone.
The Big Cat of our Other Neighbor
Just this after as I was in my favorite place in the terrace making some noise, our cat suddenly appeared running. It was being chased by the neighbor's big cat. I am wondering why and where did this big cat come from. I didn't know that the chasing was not yet over. The bug cat is still chasing our cat. Our cat run do fast and quickly jump to our coconut tree. He was there for quite sometime till the big cat disappear. While on the trunk of the coconut tree I get ready my phone to capture the moment. Before our cat get down little by little I was able to take some photos. The Big cat was gone so our cat get down.
After awhile I saw the same big cat on the hand of a teen age girl. And I asked her if it was her cat. And she said it is. The Big cat run away all of a sudden. And I said to take it for I will take it some photos. She chased the cat and was able to catch it. I try to take a photo even the cat was trying to run. The Big cat was struggling from the teen age girl hand. She just let it go when I said I have already taken some photos.
The teen age girl told me that it usually go inside our premises eyeing for the dove. When she said about it I look at the rooftop and saw the dove upon it. So it was the reason why the big cat came in. It just that it saw our cat and it's the one whom it chase .
I just thought that maybe this big cat quarrelled our cats and injured them. One of Our cat which the big cat just chased has one eye injured and maybe he is the one who did it . So our cat was so fearful at him that it climb up to the highest place of the trunk of the coconut tree for the big cat even come up in chasing our cat . This big cat , according to the owner was named Tweeny and he is an intruder cat for me.
With what happened today with our cat with one eye injured, my question in my mind how did it happened was now clear to me. The cat intruder which is Tweeny was the cause of it, I am pretty sure of it.
If Tweeny kept an eye always on the dove in our rooftop , for sure anyone who get on his way to do so , will be chased by him.
I always kept watch on our cats how they are doing each day. And on this day, this is what actually happened with one of our cats.

Our cat, we called Muning
In my own family, my late husband and children loved to care for cats , except me. It's because I don't want added responsibilities. So I told them if they want pets like cats they will be the one responsible for it.
But then, I can't help myself to ignore their pets. I also share some responsibilities in caring if needed and when I want to.
Year , 2019 I have to leave our province and my eldest son, at the request of my daughter for she will be giving birth to her second child, and she needed my help to attend to the child after giving birth, for she will be continuing in her job. So I came to Manila and stayed with her family until the start of the pandemic March 2020. But during the pandemic they went to Bicol, while I stayed in my youngest son's family in Pasay.
May, 2022 I went back home to the province. All those years that I stayed in Manila, my son's companion in the house was only cats. There were six of them , but only two stayed with him for lack of food to give them. The four cats were adopted by my younger sister , who is our neighbor, for they can take care of them well and good.
When I arrived, the mother cat was injured . It has an opened wound on its side, but now it was completely healed.
The mother cat we called Muning , is good in catching anything that moves which is smaller than she. She can catch a small bird we called "Maya" When you see scattered feathers , for sure it was a victim of Muning. Muning can catch mouse , lizard , sand lizard , cockroach or other insect .
Just this afternoon, as I was in the terrace as well as Muning , I saw him jumped . I guess she has seen something on the ground. I watched her and saw following something, that I know not what it is. But when I intentionally look at what she is following I saw a big green grasshopper. She is trying to catch the grasshopper but was not able to catch it for it jump as quickly as possible outside the fence. Muning followed the grasshopper on the fence and stayed there for quite sometime.
So then , trying to save the grasshopper from Muning , I called the cat. Desiring to capture the moment , I quickly take a photo of Muning as she turned her face towards me.
After taking the photo , I go near the cat , to see if the grasshopper was still there.
And I saw the grasshopper outside the fence. It was not moving for quite sometime, but still alive and breathing, coz I see his stomach moving. Maybe it was in pain . Maybe the claws of the cat might have touch its body. So I took picture while it is still resting.
While I was with the grasshopper , Muning went back to sit in the window sill of the terrace , where I used to sit and rest when noising in the platform of noise. cash.
I tried to catch the grasshopper but it jumped up to the Amarillo plant outside the fence and stayed there. I did not bother to catch it anymore. I just took photo of it and went back to the terrace with the cat.
While I was there with the cat, the cat leaves and jumped to the ground. The cat went to the place where he was before, snipping. Maybe she is trying to smell the grasshopper whereabout.
But then my son called her and she stopped and went back to the terrace. I finally checked the grasshopper if it was still there in the plant but it was gone.
It was the first time that a green big grasshopper visited us. And our cat we called Muning has spotted it at once .The grasshopper was lucky that it had escaped. The grasshopper could had been our cat's prey if it hadn't been so quick to jump.
I hope you have enjoyed the little drama of our cat we called Muning. I will keep an eye of this cat's adventure. I am interested in her encounters with moving things in the surroundings, so as I can still have something to share.

Memories Behind the Mountain Bike
There are material things in life , that becomes dear to us for some important reasons . Having it gives you a feeling of happiness . It became more significant to you when you realized its usefulness and profitableness in life. You take pride in having it, realizing the concern and care of the giver of it.
This is the mountain bike , my son used this morning as I send him to make an errand for me. We run out of some stocks needed in the house. We can buy in the nearest store in our place, but because it is more expensive here I decided to send him in the market in the town proper.
The town proper here in our province is quite a far distance from our house. If you will commute by tricycle it will take you 15 minutes or more and it will cost you 120 pesos back and forth. If you use a bike going there would take you more or less an hour to go back and forth.
I usually send my son only on important errands like remitting my pension, buying groceries and medicines , paying electric bills , buying load for our internet, and for other personal reasons of my son, like having his hair cut .
He also used the bike in errands in which far distant walking is needed, to buy only an item for emergency needs in the house .
As a means of transportation , bike is needful, if you lived in the province. Tricycle for commuting going to the town proper is rare. You have to walk ten to 15 minutes going to the terminal of tricycle.
Most of the people here, those who can afford vehicles like motorcycle , tricycle , electric bike , mountain bike, ordinary bike, availed themselves to own one.
So then, I am thankful that somehow we have a mountain bike for my son to use.
The original feature of the mountain bike has no basket on the front and attached sitting tool at the back. It was only added by my husband for other purposes and as needed.
The Story Behind the Mountain Bike
The mountain bike owner was a son-in-law of my husband's father. He was an Italian and just shipped the mountain bike from Italy to Philippines for my father-in-law.
The mountain bike was only given to us, by my sister-in law , upon my husband's request when their father died. My sister in law was the one who took care of their father so all their father's belongings were left in her care . We were already living in the province , my own hometown back then when my husband requested it, because he knew it was needful. My husband's request was not denied, so he took the initiative to take it.
My husband took an effort to travel for six hours from Manila to our province, Nueva Ecija. Travelling by commuting in a bus then to jeepney then to tricycle to be home was difficult , but then my husband carried it all the way with patience and perseverance, just to have a mountain bike to be used.
When we had the mountain bike , my husband used it always to go to the town proper in buying school supplies items , for we vending school supplies items near the school. It was our source of income when we lived in the province way back 2010.
But on the year 2014, my husband died. The care and used of the bike was kept in charge by my second son, who is only with me up to the present time.
From then on , the mountain bike was more than a decade with us , used by my son. It was still in a good running condition. It's been so useful and profitable.
The memories behind this mountain bike cannot be forgotten . It carries with it the sentiments of family, love, care and concern. It's just a material thing , but then had brought a significant part in our lives. It's like a member of the family that ever stayed with us and helped according to the purpose , it was created for .
Things we have , given to us or we have worked hard to have it, must be cherished and taken cared of. Give it, its proper worth & use responsibly. They are blessings of God. Things are allowed by God for us to have , for we deserve to have it. For if not, it will not be allowed to have it.

God's Promises
Many people says "Promises are made to be broken. Maybe they have said it, based upon experienced. No doubt it can be true with humans, because humans are imperfect beings.
But with God giving us His promises, He will surely fulfill at the perfect time .
Where to find God's Promises
There is only one credible book where we can find the written God's promises. This book , is the Holy Bible, and none else. It is my belief and personal conviction. Others may agree and disagree, and it is understandable for we all differs in thinking and understanding.
Two Kinds of God's Promises
There are lots of God's Promises written in the Bible. Anyone who have read the Holy Bible, can find these two kinds of God's Promises.
Unconditional Promises
Conditional Promises
Unconditional Promises are promises of God that He Himself promised to anyone, which He will fulfill by all means whether or not the person to whom the promise was given do something or not.
The best example of this promise , is the Promised Saviour to the sinful mankind. At God's perfect time He sent the Promised Saviour, Jesus Christ. Though it took many long years, yet God's fulfillment to His promise was done.
Conditional Promises are promises of God that He will fulfill if the conditions He set forth is met.
One of the best example, is found in Jeremiah 33:3, that anyone who believed in God , is being promised.
Jeremiah 33:3 KJV- Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not. "
From this verse it is very clear that a believer should first "Call upon God, through praying, making personal requests and supplications , before God will answer and show the great and mighty things which one who call upon Him ,know as not or do not expect.
My Personal Testimony
Unconditional Promise of God
As a testimony, I personally experienced the reality of such promise of God to me as a believer.
I was thankful about the unconditional Promises of God . I claimed it, enjoyed , and cherished it in my life. I had the full assurance in it as I put my whole faith and trust in God who made such promised.
I always set my heart to have my peace and comfort & spiritual strenght in this verse find in Isaiah 41:10.
Isaiah 41:10 KJV- Fear not for I Am with thee; be not dismayed for I Am thy God. I Will strenghten thee ; yea I Will ; help thee yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Conditional Promises
Calling upon God, through praying , is one that by God's grace , enable me to do each day. Knowing that it is my way of communicating to God as the privilege of every believer . In my prayer I just do not give my requests and supplications, but I first give praise and thanks to God. Then asked forgiveness of my sins, because in 1 John 1:9 it says :
1 John 1:9 KJV - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
After confessing my sins then I will make known my requests and supplications. It has been my motivation to pray, because in doing so, I have something to expect from God. And my expectations are His answers to me and the great and mighty things He will show to me that I know not.
And of a truth God answers and am happy to say , He always amazes me with His answers to me. I felt His very presence and as I experienced how He worked out things. He always made me aware of even the little things He did for me each day. How He favors me in the sight of people around me .
So I each day I am excited to come to Him in prayer and His answers to it.
