★Hi friends, Good Morning.
I will come back a few days later because parsonal problem. Now I am share with we the life time of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib.
★Biography of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the Bengali nation:
*Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born on March 17, 1920 in the house of Sheikh Lutfur Rahman and Saira Begum in Tungipara, Gopalganj. He was the third of six siblings. After graduating from Gopalganj Public School and Calcutta Islamia College, he graduated from Dhaka University. At the age of 18 he married Begum Fazilatunnesa. They have two daughters - Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana and three sons - Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal and Sheikh Russell.
*From a young age, his political talents began to show. In 1940, he joined the All India Muslim Students Federation, a student organization of the All India Muslim League. The radical left the organization and joined the liberal and progressive Bengal Muslim League in 1943. It was here that Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy came close. While at Dhaka University, he founded the East Pakistan Muslim Students League to undermine the authority of the conservative radical All India Muslim Students Federation.
*Sheikh Mujib played a very important role as a political leader during the language movement. In 1948, under his leadership, the first protests and student strikes on the language issue began, which culminated on 21 February 1952.
* The fifties were the period of his political rise. Gradually he became a skilled political leader with foresight and wisdom. At this time Sheikh Mujib left the Muslim League and formed the Awami Muslim League together with Hussain Suhrawardy and Maulana Bhasani. He was elected the party's first joint general secretary. In 1953, he became the general secretary of the party. After winning the 1954 general election, Mujib became the Minister of Agriculture in the United Front government. In 1956, he became the Minister of Industry and Commerce in the cabinet of the Coalition Government.
*After the death of Hussain Suhrawardy in 1973, Sheikh Mujib was elected President of the Awami Muslim League. He was a fierce critic of Ayub Khan's theory of basic democracy. At the National Conference of Opposition Parties held in Lahore in 1978, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman raised a historic six-point demand. These six points were the outline of the autonomy of East Pakistan.
*Sheikh Mujib was arrested in the Agartala conspiracy case by the then Pakistani ruling class for fear of overwhelming public support for Mujib's 6 points. All the people of Bengal became angry at this. The exploiters were forced to release him at one stage by bowing to the wrath of the people. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was given a public reception on 23 February 1969 at the Race Course Ground in Dhaka on the initiative of the Central Student Struggle Council. In this gathering of millions of people, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was awarded the title of 'Bangabandhu'
* In a public meeting held on 5 December 1969, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib named East Bengal 'Bangladesh'. He said, "Once upon a time, an attempt was made to erase the last trace of the word 'Bangla' from the pages of this country, from the pages of the map." ... The existence of the word 'Bangla' has not been found with the name of anything other than 'Bay of Bengal' alone. ... On behalf of the people, I am announcing that from today, the name of the eastern province of Pakistan will be Bangladesh only, instead of East Pakistan. "
*In the general elections of 7 December 1970, the Awami League under the leadership of Sheikh Mujib won an absolute majority in the provincial legislature. In the then East Pakistan, the Awami League won 16 out of 189 seats in the National Assembly and 305 out of 310 seats in the Provincial Assembly. But the West Pakistani ruling class was totally against Mujib's policy of autonomy. To prevent the formation of the Awami League government, President Yahya Khan called a session of Parliament and started procrastinating. Sheikh Mujib then realized that there was no alternative to fighting to end the misrule of the West Pakistani rulers.
*Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman called for independence in a historic speech on March 7, 1971 at the Racecourse Ground. In the crowd of the racecourse, Bangabandhu declared, "This time the struggle is for our liberation, this time the struggle is for freedom." In this historic speech, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu called upon the Bengali nation to release the chains and declared, “When I have given blood, I will give more blood. I will release the people of this country inshallah. ... everyone builds castles from house to house. "We have to deal with the enemy with whatever we have."
*At the call of Bangabandhu, the whole of Bengal became agitated. Frightened by the awakening of the Bengali nation under Mujib's leadership, Yahya Khan imposed martial law, banned the Awami League and ordered the arrest of Sheikh Mujib.
*Then came March 25, 1971. In the darkness of the night, Pakistani soldiers jumped like vultures on innocent unarmed Bengalis; Operation Searchlight is the worst massacre in history. From the old man of the eighties to the child of Cole - no one can escape from the hellishness of the Pak hyenas. Mujib was arrested and taken to West Pakistan. However, before that, when the Pak army started its operation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared the independence of Bangladesh in the early hours of March 26 and called upon the people to join the all-out movement.
*On 17 April 1971, the first government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh was formed and Sheikh Mujib was made the President. In his absence, Syed Nazrul Islam acted as interim president. The Mukti Bahini was formed under this government and it was the turn of the Pak army to resist. After a long and bloody battle of nine months, victory finally came at the cost of the lives of 3 million Bengalis. On 16 December, the Pakistani army surrendered to the Bangladesh-India ally at the Suhrawardy Udyan from which Bangabandhu had called for the freedom struggle. A new country called Bangladesh was born on the map of the world.
On January 10, 1972, Bangabandhu returned to his beloved motherland, the independent country of his dreams. Millions of people flocked to the airport to welcome the father of the nation, the dreamer of freedom. Returning to the country, Bangabandhu jumped into rebuilding the war-torn country. Bangabandhu appealed for international help in dealing with the humanitarian catastrophe and in a very short time help started coming. A new war for the reconstruction of Bangladesh began. In the meantime, an anti-independence clique became active. This clique set out to create political instability with the direct fuel of the domestic and international clique opposing the liberation war. At this time Bangabandhu understood that development of the country is not possible without political stability. In 1974, he founded the Bangladesh Krishak Sramik Awami League or 'Bakshal' to bring all political parties under one umbrella. At the same time all other political parties were banned. Note that the first party to be banned was the Bangladesh Awashi League, Sheikh Mujib's own party.
As a result, stability began to come to the country. When all the countries were recovering from the devastation, another blow came.
At midnight on 15 August 1975, a group of misguided army officers killed Sheikh Mujib and his family members. Only his two daughters Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana survived because they were out of the country at that time. This heinous massacre brought irreparable damage to the life of the newly independent nation, created a political vacuum, and disrupted the flow of democratic development.
We also remember him for his great works.
