Here are a few things that can drastically improve your security online! These are steps ANYONE can do! - Install a password manager! This is the absolute simplest thing you can do. Make sure you have unique, high quality passwords for all your sites! Here is a site with quality reviews of current password managers: https://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-password-managers,review-3785.html. Currently I am using LastPass, but I have heard very good things about other solutions as well. - Use 2FA (Two Factor Authentication). Download Google Authenticator or another authenticator app to your phone, and setup 2FA on all services that support it. Stay away from SMS based 2FA as that is vulnerable to sim-swap attacks. Here is a quality tutorial: https://www.theverge.com/22215571/factor-authentication-2fa-apple-microsoft-google-how-to. - Get a VPN! Many ISP's monitor everything you do online, and having a VPN can help a lot. However, getting a VPN does not magically make you secure from everyone. It is just a way for you to PICK the company you want to trust with your internet data. Many people are forced into 1 or 2 ISP's, and those companies are required to disclose your internet activity. By using a VPN your internet provider CAN'T see your data, instead the VPN company can. The difference here, is that there are 1000 different VPN companies, and many that will respect your privacy! Personally I use AirVPN (they take BCH!), but there are many other good services out there. Having a VPN is super important if you want to access websites all over the world. Many places are geo-fenced, so this also open up new corners of the internet itself!

Trivia day! Did you know that the definition of the word vaccine has been changed? TODAY -> https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/vaccine Feb-2019 -> https://web.archive.org/web/20190206184116/https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/vaccine The original definition was: : a preparation of killed microorganisms, living attenuated organisms, or living fully virulent organisms that is administered to produce or artificially increase immunity to a particular disease These are the vaccines I had a child. The new definition is VERY different, and includes a lot of other stuff. Seems they should have picked a new word... or maybe they used the word vaccine just so it felt safer to take...

Very simply. I do not trust big pharma. Never did. They poisoned my family long before COVID-19. They are constantly found guilty of prioritizing profits over health. Why anyone trusts them is beyond me. Take care of your body, big pharma is not here to save you.

Snow in Hawaii! The winds today were crazy!

What are people's favorite movies and tv shows? What streaming services are popular with your network? Any other Plex users out there?

I feel so fortunate to spend time in Hawaii. Such a magical place.

Here's my holiday reminder to signup for Coinbase if you need a little extra cash. You can earn over $150 by just watching an hour of crypto videos. Of course you can then convert that directly to BCH! Not sure exactly which countries are eligible. Please report back if you have any problems! https://coinbase.com/join/ellith_m

So, generally I don't bring up vitamins and nutritionals, but given all the concerns lately. I figured I would at least mention some of my favorite health products that genuinely work, and can make your body feel fantastic. Being in Hawaii have been fortunate enough to meet many healers, and I am very lucky to have their advise. Vital Reds - https://gundrymd.com/supplements/vital-reds/ My alternative to sugary drinks and soda. It is sweet, delicious, and if you look at the ingredients, you can feel GOOD about what you are putting into your body! I spent many years drinking sodas and other sugar drinks, never finding a good alternative. Well here it is. Everyone who stops by my place ends up getting hooked. Athletic Greens - https://athleticgreens.com/en I try to have a glass of Athletic Greens every morning. It is packed full of amazing ingredients and has a much better taste than many of the "green" drinks out there. This one is slightly sweet, and goes down easy. This has helped stabilize my stomach, and gives me a lot of extra energy during the day. Definitely read the history, those New Zealanders really know their greens! USANA Vitamins - https://usana.com These are by far my favorite vitamins. I have been taking their supplements for almost 20 years. Procosa really helps with my wrist issues, and is the only thing that makes them feel better. Their general multi vitamin is also excellent, and lastly I found that Profavanol works wonders for my immune system. Anyhow, I am not a doctor, these are just products I have been recommended over the years that have had a huge impact on my life. Hopefully someone finds this useful!

Who thinks that having private messages on Noise would be useful? I think that is currently my biggest feature request. Sometimes you want to be able to share an award or prize privately with a user. Many don't want to post their telegram/whatsapp etc, so having private messages directly on Noise would really help out! How do we make this happen?

Amazon's new "The Wheel of Time" is epic. Only 4 episodes released so far, but without giving spoilers it is insanely good! Incredible magic effects, quality character development, plus A+ production quality. I highly suggest people check it out. Now I am so curious, I want to read the books! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wheel_of_Time

Unpopular opinion. The bots on Twitter make it more viral, and are actually what made Twitter successful. They seeded the platform with tons of content and by Twitter allowing open access to data a huge number of third party projects flourished. The more you try to keep bots out, the more you undermine the growth rate and ecosystem expansion. There has to be a balance. People want to see their followers, if they can't the site feels incomplete.

@quest

Is there any easy way to see your followers on Noise? I can see how many I have, but where is the list? Would be nice to see who is looking at all my noise!

Today I feel incredibly thankful, the past year has been an epic roller coaster ride. Thanks to those that have shown me amazing support over the years, and have been there for me in the hard times. It makes the good times that much better! Happy Thanksgiving from a terminal junkie in Hawaii!
