Overcoming bad mood so as not to interfere with work productivity
After yesterday I discussed how to restore spirit of writing, now I try to discuss about mood, thing that I think has most influence on our productivity and quality of writing. Mood really affects productivity of your work. When a person's mood is in a good mood, they will usually be able to complete work better and be more productive.
You can't predict what happens during the day. If something unpleasant happens and spoils your mood, you can pause for a moment while taking a breath so that you can become more calm. Think back to good things that happened that day and try to be grateful.
When you are in a bad mood, you may feel like getting angry or crying. To control your anger and emotions, you can pause for a moment and catch your breath until you feel calmer. Sometimes, when you are angry, you can unconsciously say words that can hurt other people's hearts, avoid this with breathing exercises.
You can use breathing exercises by inhaling 3 seconds from your nose and then slowly exhaling from your mouth for 3 seconds while imagining something fun. You can do this for 5-10 minutes. It has been proven to improve your mood.
To improve your mood, you can eat some food you like. You can eat some chocolate to make your mood better. Dark chocolate contains an amino acid called tryptophan which can increase feelings of happiness. Besides chocolate, you can eat or drink whatever you like. That way, you can forget a little about things that put you in a bad mood with good food or drinks and can immediately return to work in a better mood.
In addition to eating food you like, you can also do things that make you happy until your mood gets better. You can play games on your phone, view funny memes from your social media, listen to your favorite song, or take a short walk to get some fresh air. Doing things that make you happy can distract you from bad mood you feel because you will focus on fun things.
Next, you can try to invite your best friends to chat for a while. You can tell cause of bad mood that day to be relieved, or just discuss light things that you like. Therefore, when you are in a bad mood, you can gather with your pleasant friends to share your complaints and feel comforted by their presence. Socializing can make a person happier and think positively.
Keep in mind that moods can indeed change without us being able to predict, but we can still immediately fix a bad mood so that work and all daily activities are not disturbed.
