Technology has indeed changed mankind's way of life. It made things simpler and easier for everyone. Everything is self-regulating and planning. However, along with the various technological advancements, the technological innovation today came the decline in physical activity among people nowadays. Nevertheless, we cannot deny that technology derives from social media the ideas of positive and negative effects and consequences to the individuals.
In this pandemic we carry a huge burden on our daily life because of the collision and 0utspread of viruses in society, various people are limited to do their operations. But instead of hanging out, exploring nature, or walking around the park, most of them would rather stay at home and watch television, play video games or online games, and surf the internet.
Before this pandemic outburst, we were already addicted to social media on different platforms. For that record in the entire world, the very active on social media is coming from the Philippines because we are Filipinos are mostly adapted on social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and etc., and that's the common platforms we used to and usually patronizing Filipinos for.
Nowadays, you can no longer see any children playing outside, playing the classic game because it's already junked by the advance of technology now. This is the common situation and effects which we need to be rightfully addressed especially among the youth who are relatively active in the social media platforms.
For talking of youth started of their habits in childhood, we reinforced in the teen years my become lifelong behaviors. Both children and teenagers need to be expose to numerous messages regarding the importance of making healthier choices about food and doing regular physical activities. With this, through the proper use of social media and technology, global awareness shall be raised which in turn would discriminate the information about healthy food choices and beneficial forms of workout.
This would also teach the youth how to correctly interpret the nutrition facts on food labels as well as assess the information; do they learn from radio and television advertisements about the food that they eat and emphasized by having the essential knowledge about the benefits of optimum nutrition. When finally learning how to use social media and technology appropriately, youth will be motivated to achieve her/his own fitness goals by doing the correct exercise and achieving proper nutrition. In this way, media and technology can be considered as helpful tools in maintaining health and fitness simultaneously.
It enables you to do what you want to do and sometimes it gives you a feeling of inferiority if you are poor in health and don't have the knowledge of technology and social media.
