As we launched the Bitcoin Cash fundraising online project called “Project Send-A-Heart” last March 28, 2021, we also started to run the fundraising for Ralph on the same day. The “Project Send-A-Heart for Ralph” will end on April 3, 2021 at 9 pm, Philippine time. If we do not meet the target amount this fundraising will continue to run until we reach the target amount of $20 worth BCH for the school supplies of Ralph, ourw first ever beneficiary. In this article, you will know more about the life and struggle of Ralph Mamusog, the background of his family, the rare condition he is facing, the dream he wanted to be and our small act of kindness for him.
Who is Ralph?
Ralph Mamusog is a ten-year old boy from the town of Manay, Davao Oriental, Philippines who stopped schooling and bullied because of his condition called arthrogryposis. He was recently featured on TV. You can watch the full story of Ralph here: bit.ly/RalphsStory.
Family of Ralph
The family of Ralph belongs to a low-income family but his parents were very supportive to him. Despite his condition and their economic situation, they did not give up but they keep on fighting to surpass all the struggles and challeges in life.
Ralph's Rare Condition
Ralph was born with unknown condition in his legs. But according to the Orthopedic Surgeon, he has an arthrogryposis. Arthrogryposis is a condition involving joint contractures. Ralph's joints in the knees are bent due to stiffness and this makes him unable to stand nor walk normally. He uses rather his both hands to walk. Despite of his condition, the young boy has a strong determination to pursue his studies soon to achieve his dreams in life.
