You are single, not a criminal!

It is hard being single nowadays especially when everything is done in pairs. You walk down the streets, hit the cinema or a shopping mall and mostly what you see are couples holding hands and snuggling up to each other and you suddenly feel like you are in the wrong place. You feel like any moment from now, a relationship police can flag you down and place you under arrest for being single. 

Is singlehood a crime?

What people tend to forget is that people have their various reasons why they are single. It is not a crime to be single. We live in a society where at a certain age, the society has certain expectations of you. This expectatioms can be very frustrating and can lead to depression if not properly checked. 

Apart from society, there are other factors that make you feel like being single is a crime.

Knowing your value: 

you are beautiful. You get the admiration from the opposite sex each time you walk down the street but no one is asking you out. You know you can turn a boy into a king and can't wait to have your own man to treat him right. Don't let this thoughts get you depressed. You are single, not worthless.

Social media 

Lots of pictures with the hashtag #relationshipgoals. Each time you see these pictures you go "Awww!" Like a siren dropping comments like, "I can't wait" but then you remember how single you are and become frustrated. Don't  forget that relationship is like a city under siege, those is in it want to get out and those out are trying to get in. Don't stop having fun on social media because you are tired of people flaunting their relationship. You are single not condemned.

Joblessness/idleness: 

You have too much free time and so you are bored and all you do is yearn for companionship. You chat up those who clearly you shouldn't be talking to and they ignore you and you start feeling like thrash.  This is because you are idle. keep yourself always busy and occupied. Find something you are passionate about and do not let your status give you a psychological breakdown. You are single not an outcast. Mingle!

Do not let what you see affect your inner being. 

Plot twist, sometimes they wish they were like you.
