Sometimes it is the things that are said as a passing comment that stay on someone’s mind for a lifetime.
Some hearts are sensitive, others are fearful, some struggle with confidence, and others have been hurt so much already that a harsh word in itself does more harm than it may have been thought.
Words hold more weight than what is often perceived- so always speak in a soft tone, speak of what is benefitting, hold your tongue over what you don’t know, the unnecessary and that which can hurt the heart of another being.
It is better to spend moments thinking of what you wish to say, then speaking for moments and later realising that your own speech has caged you in regret. Silence doesn’t mean you don’t have an opinion.
It simply demonstrates that you are wise enough to know the distinction between what needs to be expressed and what is best kept to yourself.
very good.
